Chapter 1

James ran for his life down the rusty blood stained hallway. He could hear multiple and rapid footsteps in hot pursuit. He had only entered the hospital to chase after a young girl, but now he was the one being chased.
Upon entering the second floor of the hospital, James ran into a strange mannequin monster consisting of two pairs of female legs attached at the waist. One pair of legs it used for walking, and the other pair, which stuck straight up in the air, were used for striking. Now, several of these monsters were chasing after him.
James burst through a double doorway and down another dark passage. He had to stop in his tracks suddenly at the sight before him. There were about a half dozen human-ish looking things blocking his way. James shined his flashlight directly on one of them to get a better look. They looked like women in nurse uniforms, only they had no faces and blood and dirt was splattered onto their attire. Adding to his horror, he noticed that a few of them were wielding pipes.
James ran past the first few nurse demons, but he couldn't make it past the last couple. He used the wooden plank he had brought with him for protection, and caved their heads in with baseball bat like swings. With his path now clear, James continued running, searching desperately for a door that would lead back to the first floor.
As he rounded yet another corner he had to skid to a halt. It was a dead end. "No, not now!" James shouted aloud. His pursuers were getting closer as he could hear their footsteps pounding on the tile floor. He readied the plank in both hands and waited.
Slowly and methodically several mannequin leg monsters and about a half dozen nurse demons came into his view. James charged at them, swinging like a madman. He managed to take out a couple of monsters, but there were just too many of them. One of the nurses whacked James in the arm with her pipe causing him to drop his plank. Quickly, three nurses latched onto James, holding his arms behind him. He struggled briefly, but two of the mannequins began kicking him in the torso and face. They alternated with kicking him with their lower and higher sets of limbs. Their legs rained down blow after blow until the nurse demons finally released their hold and James fell to the floor in a crumpled heap. His body wracked with pain. Then a few of the nurses began kicking and stomping on him. Strange noises that sounded almost gleeful came from the monsters as they continued their beating. Finally, a hard blow to Jame's head mercifully rendered him unconscious.
