Angels Don’t Cry Blood

“You dirty son of a bitch!” Screamed a male voice as lightning lit up the sky and thunder rolled.

“What else am I supposed to do, huh? You stupid fucker left us to go whoring with your fucking fag friends!” Hollered a female voice in distress.

The night was a cold one as rain fell from the clouds in a straight line. Sora lay on his bed, his eyes squinting as each of his parents screamed. He never did like it when people fought… especially those who were supposed to love each other. Heh… what a big laugh. His father hated him, along with his mother. Sora wouldn’t be surprised if he hated the whole world.

“I suppose you’d just come back here to rape your son, huh?” Yelled the female voice again.

“Shut up bitch!”

“No! You can’t make me! Now get out before I call the cops on you, asshole!”

“I oughta teach you a lesson you whore!”

“Well at least I support Sora! What have you done, huh? You left us on his 7th birthday!”

“Who wouldn’t want to leave you anyways?!”

“Shut up!”

“No, you shut up bitch!”

“GO TO HELL!” Cried the female voice in frustration. Sora heard a thud come from downstairs and flung his bedroom door open. He flew down the set of stairs and found him staring at his mother on the floor in shock. His father stood there with a beer in hand and his other hand across his body. Sora knew, that his sad excuse of a father and hit his beloved mother.

“You bastard!” Sora screamed as tears slowly fogged up his vision. He dad just pulled out an object from inside his jacket and seemed to be pointing it at Sora’s mother.

“It’s about time I killed you, bitch.” His father nearly spat and fired the object at the woman.

‘A gun… he… he shot her…’ Sora said in his mind. His body trembled. “NO!!!” Sora screamed and ran towards his bloody mother. The man… Sora’s father… had shot her in the chest. He eyes were still wide with shock, those blue sapphire eyes slowly losing their luster. “No… momma… please… please don’t die!” Sora began to bawl as he held his mother tightly. Stroking her cinnamon locks away from the side of her face. He looked back over to his dad to see him with an insane smug look on his face. His dad slowly walked over to him and over shadowed him. Sora’s body trembled harder as his father raised his hand with the gun as if to smack him again. He shut his eye tightly until-

“NOOOO!!!!” Sora screamed as he bolted up from his sleeping position. It was that horrid dream again. Sora wiped the sweat away from the side of his neck and too a deep breath. Every night since he thought he saw his father walking the streets a little while ago he’s been having the same dream… no… nightmare. Like a old movie clip you’d find in old run down theatres… as the clip just kept repeating itself… and those old run down movie theatres… the only place he could afford for some entertainment. He let out a deep sigh and got up from his bed. Slowly, Sora walked to his bathroom and turned on the lights. His eyes squinted from the harsh light that his eyes where forced to take in. Sora rubbed his pained eyes and looked in the mirror. That red mark was over his chest again; just like that night when he held his mother’s dying body in his arms.

A disappointed look crossed his face as he turned around to examine the back of his neck.
‘Yup…’ Sora thought as he rubbed the back of his neck painfully, ‘That mark showed up as well tonight.’

Sora traced his eyes further down towards his back to examine his beautifully crafted tattoo. There on his back were white angel wings, intertwined with thorny vines. At just there the wings would meet, there were two black roses dripped in blood. Oh how Sora loved that tattoo. Wakka sure did a good job on that one.

With a content sigh Sora turned so his left shoulder could face the mirror. And there, scorned on his beautiful tanned skin; another tattoo. But this one wasn’t as big. It was a simple sunset. The sun was setting into the ocean, and in the sun was the name ‘Cecilia’.

“Mom…” Sora sighed as he rubbed his arms. He loved that name. He loved how it rolled off your tongue. Fuck he loved his mom. Sure, some people said he was a momma’s boy, but he didn’t care. His life had been so perfect.

Sora walked back towards him room and looked at his alarm clock. ‘Fuck. It’s still 2:00 am.’ Sora collapsed on his bed sheets he proudly bought with his well earned money from before. Before anything ever happened.

A silent tear slowly made it’s way down Sora’s face, caressing his silky tanned skin and making it’s journey’s end when it touch the pillow. Sora closed his azure eyes and began to dream of the good ol’ days.

Sora just turned 14 a few months ago. He was walking on his way to work from school with his old friend Tidus. Tidus was going to meet a couple of his and Sora’s friends for a milkshake at the family restaurant Sora worked at. Sure he was a little young to be working there, but under the circumstances he was in, his manager let him stay. After all, Sora sure worked hard for all the extra tips he earned.

Once Sora and Tidus showed up at the restaurant, the split in their own directions. Sora got ready to serve and Tidus sat down beside two girls and another guy. Not so surprisingly Sora was assigned to serve table 5, were the four teens conveniently sat at.

“Hey guys!” Sora said in his cheerful voice, “What can I get for ya?” he asked.

“Hey Sora!” said a redhead with sholder length hair, “how’s it going?”

“Oh it’s good Kairi, thanks.” Replied Sora.

“Well Sora, you gonna’ take my order or what, ya?” said the boy at the back. He wore brightly coloured clothing and he had a cinnamon tan. His hair was bright orange and stuck up. Just as anyone could imagine though, his accent was just as thick as his hair.

“Yea, yea. Lemme’ guess. Selphie,” Sora pointed to the other girl with a yellow spring dress on and brown hair. “You want a banana split.”

“Yupperoni!”

“Kairi, you want a strawberry milkshake. Right?”

“Right.”

“Tidus and Wakka, you’ll both share a chocolate milkshake.” Sora proclaimed and Wakka nodded with a grin. Tidus on the other hand, blushed like crazy; his face resembled a tomato on only a mere amount of seconds. Wakka wrapped an arm around the other boy’s shoulders and Tidus looked so dumbstruck. The girls across the table began to giggle at the too and began to share secrets. Sora took their actions as an approval that he ordered them the correct things.
