I do not own Golden Sun, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Follow Me to Eternity
This is my first attempt at a Golden Sun fic. I hope it turns out alright o_o;; Well, anyway, the pairings will be Picard/Felix/Piers, and Alex/Felix. There might be some NC later on in the fic. Also, this will probably be fairly ooc as it’s AU. O.o Wheee.. * typetypetype *
DISCLAIMER: I don’t own Golden Sun. I don’t own Alex, or Felix, or Piers, or any of the other characters that may appear in this fic. I wish I did; all those pretty, long-haired-boys would make man-love all the time for my viewing pleasure. But, sadly, they do not belong to me. Oh well.
The rain clattered to the ship’s deck in buckets, a seemingly endlshowshower with wave after wave of icy blasts that tore at the sails, water lashing the side of the boat and spilling over the railings. Bodies, soaked to the bone, scrambled about the deck, trying desperately to reel in the ropes and lower the helplessly flailing sails that struggled against powerful gusts that threatened to tear them apart.
A horrific cry of what could only be described a pure agony tore out like a bolt of lightning in the storm as a brunette was tossed against the railing of the ship like a rag doll. His back arched forward against the slender, slippery board that slender digits clawed at, desperate to hang on as his life depended on it.
“Felix!” Another shout soon followed, a head of turquoise darting across the slick floorboards, hand outstretched to the other boy, desperate to save his comrade. “Felix! Grab on!” The frantic voice called out, reaching for his hand while trying not to fall off the ship himself.
Wet fingers eased away timidly from the railing at first, only to moments later lash out for the tender hand that beckoned him. Slowly, mocha-colored eyes lifted to meet those golden orbs that gazed upon him, and a brief smile had touched his lips before another wave threw the other form against Felix and the pair tumbled from the deck to the salty water that waited hungrily below.
~*~*~*~*~*~
A dull throb burbled at Felix’ temples and his eyes stung from too much salt water, which the insistent sun was only making worse. There was something at his back, so he could only assume he was laying down. His head tilted away from the light and he squinted. In an attempt to rub at his sore eyes, he tried to lift his arm only to discover a sharp pain tearing through his shoulder. A loud cry followed as the form rolled onto his side to nurse his arm.
“Ah! Careful…that’s broken.” The voice that came from behind him was soft and tender; like the chorus of angels, and it seemed to make the pain disappear. “Must have gotten hurt on the rocks during the fall.”
Felix cracked open an eye so he could look up at the other form. “Picard” He croaked, only to realize his throat was painfully dry.
This only brought a faint smile to Picard’s lips as he sat down beside him, then assisted Felix to sit up as well. “Here, drink this” Came that tender voice as a small, blue vial was placed into Felix’ fingers. “That should fix you right up”
Felix stared at the valmoalmost skeptically for several moments before uncapping it and downing the wy suy substance. It was slightly bitter, but right now he was thankful for anything to counter the gallons of salt water that he must have downed. Instantaneously, he felt the throbbing leave his arm and head, and he could breathe a sigh of relief. “Picard” he tried again, this time his voice smooth and nonchalant. “Where are we?” Felix took this moment to take in his surroundings. He was on a long stretch of beach along the ocean; the sand a shade of white, gray, and brown from years of seashells being ground to dust under erosion. Several trees with long, drooping branches swayed against the gentle breeze, leaves ruffling under the touch. The air was warm and dry; not exactly fresh due to the natural seabreeze and the oconalonal smell of fish, but it was relaxing all the same.
“’Don’t know” Picard shrugged and leaned back on his hands. “Somewhere in Angara, I presume”
Felix nodded lightly in response, which was quickly accompanied by a shiver. This of course drew a concerned eye from Picard. “You must be freezing” he announced and reached out to cover Felix’ forehead with his hand. “You’re soaked to the bone”
Felix shook his head away from the hand. “So are you” He countered.
The other smiled. “I’m a water adept so it doesn’t bother me as much.” He pressed the tip of his index finger to Felix’ nose. “You on the other hand aren’t so lucky to be able to say that.”
Upon receiving a glare-of-death from the brunette, fin finger was promptly removed. “You should really get out of those wet clothes.” The glare persisted and Picard rose his hands defensively. “I wont look! I’ll even let you…ah…borrow my headdress to cover up.” He added, while removing said headdress from his forehead, freeing the long tendrils of turquoise hair which spilled forward and fell past his cheeks. He was oddly dry, but Felix dismissed that, assuming it was because he had been up and moving around in the sun all morning while he himself was laying against the wet, sandy beach under the shade of a tree.
Felix eyed Picard suspiciously as he undressed and accepted the long strip of fabric from the other male, wrapping it around his waist.
“Thank you” he murmured lightly to the other, then slumped against Picard’s shoulder, who in turn, draped an arm around Felix’.
A soft breeze brushed past, fanning through their hair, followed by the rich, sweet smell of carnations, which made the atmosphere feel suddenly thick and heavy, almost intoxicating.
Felix could feel the pad of Picard’s thumb brushing against his cheek, coaxing him to tilt his head up to meet the warm, sweet lips that smothered his own. A noise that sounded somewhat like a purr dabbled his throat and he leaned into the kiss. His eyes fluttered closed and he brought a hand to Picard’s cheek.
The scent of carnations was growing stronger and everything became fuzzy, like they were a pair of clouds against the endless blue sky, floating away into eternity.
And that’s when he opened his eyes.
~*~*~*~*~*~
He lay against his bed sheets which were slightly damp with sweat and other such things, breathing heavily as he awoke. Somewhere nearby he could hear someone humming the chorus of ‘Green Sleeves’, and the occasional ‘snip’ of scissors. The brunette lifted his head enough to see another male, standing over a round table in the center of theroomroom with a cobalt blue vase perched atop it, filled with violet carnations which he was snipping the stems of. Felix briefly turned his attention to the long, pale blue hair that spilled down his back; a silk curtain that framed the pale cheeks and danced over his shoulders.
“I see that you’ve awakened, Felix” The voice was smooth and cool like liquid metal, and in turn he wished he could melt into that voice. The figure took a carnation from the vase and carried it to Felix as he sat on the edge of the bed, placing the flower in Felix fingers. “You took a spill off the bed last night. You must have hit your head on the floor, and your arm appears to be quite banged up. I’m surprised you didn’t wake up even once.” Felix rose the carnation to his face and took in the flowers scent, hoping to bring back memories from the dying dream. “I put you back into bed and tended to the cuts on your arm; you must have hit it on the bed-frame.” He placed an arm around Felix shoulders. “Are you feeling alright now, Felix?”
There came a long pause as Felix daydreamed, barely listening to what the other was saying, before he slowly nodded and leaned against the form.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks, Alex”
Well that’s all for this chapter. Your feedback would be much appreciated, but please no flames >.> o.o cause then I’ll cry.. cry, and then sic my giant, man-eating sponge on you, at which time I will laugh and point and call you names. That would be fun.
Oh, this is sort of an experiment. I’m not sure if I’ll continue this fic or not. =3 I hope I do. I rather like the idea I have. But whether or not I actually have the inspiration to continue writing.. I don’t know..
