Were were the angels....
Riku returns to Destiny Island after a hellish year locked in Kingdom Hearts. He not only finds that his friends have changed but a new love has surfaced for his best friend. And a new hatred for Kairi has arisen. Will he be able to confess his feelings or be doomed to hold them inside?

Confessional:The Return
Deep eyes scanned the beach, a young man walked forward letting the sand crunch under his feet.He was grateful for the sound, it had been so long since he had walked these beaches.
In his youth he used to play here, but now it seemed that things have changed. After all for the past 3 years he was gone, lost in Kingdom Hearts. But he wasn't alone, King Mickey was there at least to keep him company. But he always longed and dreamed of the day he would return home.
And now it seemed that it had all come true. He missed his friends and family fearing that he was going literally insane without them. He had no hope of ever returning to his island. Until they day that he found the door that led him home again.
The King had helped him he somewhat sensed the young man's depression and assumed that it would only get worse in a short while.He would be great help,but he needed his family right now, the king told himself. Making sure that the young boy would be safe. Mickey could handle it from here and if need be he would call on Riku again to help him. But that would be along time from now. The heartless were mostly destroyed and Ansem dissapeared. For now it was safe, and King Mickey hoped it would stay that way for a long period of time. That was whylet let him go. He would be safe Sora was there..Mickey smiled at closed the door once again knowing that it could be opened again. But he didn't care things right now were as they should be. Quietly he watched Riku walked toward his friends, Mickey smiled then shut the door,"He would be all right", he said reassuring himself, "he is a strong lad".
Riku walked the beach until he could see the red sun setting over the horizon, it was getting colder now and still there was no sign of anyone. He sighed letting his fingers run through his hair. He was tired hungry and lost, well somewhat. Riku plopped under a palm tree letting his eyes shut. Hopefully someone would notice him lying there and come over and tell him welcome home, even Selphie who annoyed the hell out of him. But still he missed her and wondered what she looked like now. Probably blossomed into a beautiful young girl now, and Kairi god knows what happened to her.
She probably wouldn't even talk to him after happened between them. Riku didn't care though, as far as he was concerned she was the reason that he turned over to the dark side in the first place. She took Sora from him, until she came along Sora and him were unseprable. But when she came along, Sora had fallen in love with her and the days that the two best friends spent together were scarce. He hated her for that ..and he always would.
Riku sighed and let the cool winds blow at his face, in the distance he could hear voices he crooned his neck to the sounds and saw a bond fire. And huddled around it was Selphie and Tidus and another young boy. Riku at first didn't recognize him until he squinted a bit. "Sora", he said he could believe it. How did Sora find his way home? Riku felt a small twinge of excitement that soon turned into worry. He couldn't just walk up to Sora and say "Hi, Sora ", not after what he did. Riku felt guilty. As he watched Sora talking to Tidus and Selphie. He seemed happy, he probably forgot all about him. Riku couldn't blame him though, after all he tried to kill him. He let his own blinded jealously ruin there friendship. And for what..nothing. Ansem just used him and he lost Sora in the process. He never told Sora how he really felt about him, he couldn't he was just to embaressed. He thought it wasn't natural for friends to have romantic feelings about each other. Riku buried his hands in his face and let the tears roll down his cheeks, this was all just an illusion he told himself. But when he glanced at Sora again he saw him laughing gleefully. "he's better off", Riku said getting up and walking toward home. No one had to now that he was home again, no one would care anyway. If Sora didn't care then it just didn't matter.
Short chapter yeah I know but the next chapter will be added as soon as I can and I promise it will be alot better. This chapter is sorta sketchy but oh well. Please Read and review thanks!
