Legal Shit: Lara Croft and Tomb Raider are © the guys who wrote the game. Please note that I am violently allergic to subpoenas, and exposure results in histimine-induced dementia which causes me to lash out in a lethal fashion against every lawyer in a ten-mile radius. Okay, so I'm talking out of my ass, so what. Don't sue me. I don't even exist. Muahahaha!

Permission is granted to repost this as long as no moneys are charged for viewing. The more places this is posted, the harder it will be for the lawyers to get rid of it, and that's good. I would die a happy man if no fanfiction author who included a disclaimer and didn't charge anything for his stories could be touched by those greedy, money-grubbing lawyers. Not to worry, though, they'll get their comeuppance in the end, for the sin of greed.

"Here we are, then." Lara said to herself as spi spied the glyph-marked entrance to a river-channeling cave which local tradition held contained the remains of a knight who once favored spicy foods, but fell into darkness and became a vampire who fed them to his victims before feeding on them. "The final resting place of the so-called Tamale Knight." Lara muttered. "And I'm hours ahead of the competition." She guided her boat into the entrance of the cave, holding her lightstick high to better navigate the restless rs wrs within. Bats screeched and shrieked above her, diving and scolding at the intruder. One of them knocked the lightstick out of her hand. "Bugger!" she exclaimed. Reaching into her pack, she pulled out a pair of nightvision goggles to replace the lost stick, donning them quickly so she wouldn't be shoved against a stalagmite by the current.

Paddling her way upriver, she found a shore leading to a side-cavern, and tied off her boat to explore. The bats grew in number and tenacity the further into the cave she ventured. At one point, Lara had to fight full-time to keep the bats at bay. One of them knocked off her goggles, and she tumbled backwards into a downward-sloping tunnel with a smooth, guano-free floor. The smooth limestone surface offered no traction, and she slid out of control, striking her head against the wall and losing consciousness before reaching the shaft's bottom.

She opened her eyes much later to find herself in a cavern dimly lit by phosphorous veins along the walls. The illumination so far underground was not what took Lara's breath, however, but the small underground town which had been built here. Her vision wavered as she rose to her feet, but she managed to stagger to the nearest of the buildings before sinking to her knees again.

Please don't be a concussion... Lara thought as her head swam. She staggered further, to the center of the little town, resting against an altar of some kind. The cross on which she rested her hand snapped off, sending ho tho the floor.

Her next awakening was nothing like she had expected. She was in a bed with silken pillows and sheets. Sitting up, she received a shock. It was a coffin!

"Thank you." a soft voice said from beside her. "Thank you for releasing me." Lara turned to face the stranger, finding a thin-looking but still handsome Spaniard with red hair, a thin moustache, and very, very old-fashioned clothes. "My name is Jose Rodriguez. Could you perhaps spare me something to drink?"

"I lost my canteen in the fall..." Lara began. Jose locked eyes with her, and she could not turn away or break his entrancing gaze.

"Mere water won't slake my thirst." Jose replied. "I need something a little...thicker." He rose then, climbing into the coffin with her, and her gaze remained locked with his, unable to deviate from their compass-like destination. "Don't worry, my sweet, I won't take much." His mouth came forward, and gleaming fangs sank into her neck. Lara gasped, having expected pain but instead receiving a powerful orgasm. Her eyes closed as her mind swam in liquid pleasure. Even the burning in her veins and the itch behind her eyeteeth couldn't anchor her enough to break the spell over her mind. She lost consciousness a third time.

She awoke once more to a stifling closeness. Acting on instinct, she began to dig upward until she broke the surface. She pulled herself out of the hole she'd made and shook the dirt out of her hair and clothes.

"Good evening, my sweet." Jose said. "I know you're hungry. I felt the same thing when my sire brought me across. Luckily I happened to run across a strong young man to feed you." Lara started to protest, but the sound of his heartbeat in her ears awoke the burning hunger within her--a hunger she could not resist. She felt drawn irresistibly to this young man, who writhed in Jose's grip. Newly-made fangs extended, and were plunged into their first jugular vein. As the hot, sticky fluid from within flowed into Lara's mouth and down her throat, she felt awash in pleasure.

When she had drank her fill, she sank to her knees. Jose put his arm around the man's neck and with a swift twist, snapped it like a pencil. He knelt before her and licked the blood off of her face and neck. Her treacherous body responded to this new stimulation by becoming even more aroused. She tried to fight it, tried to gain some control of the situation.

"Stop fighting." Jose commanded. "You will soon learn that, as your vampiric sire, I have a certain measure of leverage in your mind. My will has priority, as it were. Besides that, the vampire is an extremely...sensual creature, and to fight this nature will only lead you to torment, and leave you with a broken mind."

"I...didn't...want...this!" Lara panted. Jose ceased his caresses, and Lara could not suppress a horny whimper of regret.

"I'm sorry." he said. "Hunger drove me to it. I've been trapped in that accursed coffin for five hundred years, with neither blood nor companionship." His hand caressed her face, and Lara sighed, feeling the attachment she could no longer fight. She was his, and she knew it now. His vampiric child, his slave, his loving pet. A tentative smile crept across her face as she realized the prospect wasn't entirely unpleasant. "I can't undo what I did, Lara Croft, but I can ease your transition into this new life if you cooperate."

"What must I do...Master?" Lara asked. Jose smiled.

"We'll start with those tomb desecrators who followed you to my cave." Jose responded.

To be continued...
