The Letter Goodbye

Handsome young teenager is about to write a letter. His white hair is shoulder length and his ice blue eyes peer down with calm thoughtfulness. His fair skin held some tan. He sits on a cliff, pauses as he tried to decide how to start. The waves below seem to inspire him. Sun hangs low in the sky as it gets ready to set.

Have you ever wanted the tide? Just sit on the beach between the shifts of the tide and watch the waves for a while. I have watched the tide roll in and out for many years of my childhood. I used to live on a chain of islands that sat in the most crystal clear waters. I spent many warm days with my best friends Sora and Kairi. Sora I have known the longest. We were inseparable, until Kairi came. Maybe that is when we started to compete against each other? I can’t blame it all on her though, for we always did challenge each other. Just that was when we really started to try tng eng each other. Trying to be better. I always thought it was because I wanted her to like me more. She would smile in such a warm, sweet way to us. I ran races and fought spars just to get that extra attention my way.

The daily things that keep us all busy

That's when you came to me and said,

It seems so long ago now. I have the time now to reflect back on my errors. Ironic that I was to be the key bearer, yet I lost my right to Sora. I understand why. Heart can hold a great deal of light and dark. I opened my heart to darkness and lost my place in the light. I become trapped by the same power that I tried to use. Sora, you became my light. I was left here on my request because I finally understand. I never wanted Kairi. I wanted you Sora. I only chased her because you wanted her more then me. So now I live in this world, away you you both so you may love each other in peace. I hope she can make you happy. I hope you can protect her. She is a gentle sweet person, hard for me to hate her.

I will always love you, Sora. I can not live without your light.

He stops writing to put the letter down next to him. Had no intention for anyone to read it. Just the need to write was ahe rhe reason. The waves hit the rocks below. The water is not as clear as his home waters, but those waters he may never see again. His stands up and takes a step off the cliff. As he falls, he can hear someone say his name.

Voice, “Riku!” So familiar yet older then when he last heard it.

His eyes stay open as the rocks rush towards him. The someone grabs him into a tight hug. They glide to a gentle landing back on clifcliff. Riku is being held by a handsome teen with spiky brown hair and intense blue eyes.

Riku in shock, “What? Why are you here?”

Sora, “When the worlds reformed, I was unable to join Kiari in our home world. Plus, I wanted to find you. I’m glad I got the flying ability from Peter.

Riku, “But you had her... “

They both look at the letter on the ground. Sora quickly picks it up reads it.

Sora surprised, “You... love me?”

Riku faces the ocean, “I always have.” Afraid Sora wasn’t that way with him.

Sora placehandhand on his shoulder, “I wanted to find you because I love you too.”

Something weight seems to lift off him and Riku grabs Sora into a hard hug, kissing his lips with passion. Sun sets on the two as they embrace each other for a very long time.
