Partings and explanations
This is not over, I promise. How could it be after all Omen is not a happy troll
When Tasha woke she was not where her mind had her last placed. Nor was she alone. As she opened her eyes she saw Kuu sitting there beside her, a look of concern on her face which faded or was pushed away when she saw the younger troll was concious.
"Ah tought ya wuz gonna sleep da day away dere, c'mon we gonna bat' n den 'ead off. Ah'm gonna run wit ya ta Outland."
"Outland? Ah'm ready fer dere?" Tasha sat up faster than she'd intended, rubbed her eyes a little and then shook her head. "If'n ya say so den mus' be, lemme jus' grab tings." And with more energy than Kuu would have given her credit for, Tasha rose and began gathering her clean gear, a drying cloth and several other things. Once ready she smiled at the silently watching huntress and after a nod passed between them, the two left the hut, bound for a nearby hot spring to bathe.
Meanwhile...
Omen was still fuming.
He had taken Tasha back to her hut in her sleep, tucking the sleeping female into her bedding then headed for the hut he was directed to, the one Imon was resting within. As he'd knocked the curtain was drawn aside and a female had looked him up and down before running off in the direction of Tasha's hut. A male voice, Imon's, called him in.
Omen had bowed to the older male, give him due respect after all and after a few moments of silence as his eyes looked Omen over, he spoke.
"Ya lookin' beat dere mon, ah ask a leetle too much of ya?" There was a hint of amusement in Imon's voice and it made Omen straighten, a flash of anger in his eyes. The younger troll though showed he had some intelligence and didn't react, Imon nodded after a moment then motioned for him to sit down.
"Ah tank ya mon fer 'elpin mah soljer, mah sister in arms and mah frien'. She need more'n dat ah'm sure but dat all dere be time fer. Dey be waitin' on 'er in Outland an'mah mate's gonna escort 'er dere." There was a look on Imon's face, as if daring the younger troll to speak. The look of surprise on Omens face though said most of it and Imon laughed softly. "Ya tinkin we be rushin' 'er off? Stealin' 'er from ya mebbe? Or jus' dat she ain't ready fer Outland?"
"Ya as' meh ta hep ya wit dis, takin' a darkspear gurl tru 'er first 'eat. She be virgin wen ah touched 'er. Did ya know dat mon? Ah took dat from 'er, an' not take 'er as mate." He paused, searching for the words and Imon held up a hand.
"She ain't ready fer a mate mon, she got lotta odder tings ta 'andle 'fore she be ready fer dat. An' ah tank ya fer all ya don, but she ain't be fer ya, ya ain't da right one ta be 'er mate. Dere be one wan' ta court 'er, jus' 'er first 'eat wuz more'n da mon could 'andle." He paused, steeling his resolve and rising from where had been, Imon could see the words were not getting thru to Omen. Still it was do as he must time, and he began to dress for his next journey. The sound of Omen standing too made him look over.
"Ya sayin' ah ain't gud nuff fer 'er? Jus' wait den, we see wat 'appens. Ah tell ya she be mine now, ah sure o'dat. Ah claimed 'er body, ah be da one dat wake 'er 'eart up too ya see dat soon." And before Imon could say more Omen walked out, headed for his own sleeping area . He knew...time was his card to play he just needed to be patient.
It didn't stop him from being angry though.
Several days later...in Outland.
Tasha watched as the death knight walked off, replaying his words in her mind. What had he meant by being careful who she'd given herself to? She knew darkspear usually mated for life but why was he reminding her of this? Calling her a proper lady now? Had the time in the service of the Lich King addled the trolls mind? Or did he know something she needed to and just could not recall? Time maybe to contact Kuu'jin, this seemed to be a thing that her friend and superior might have an idea about.
