“Kane stop picking on Kalin!” Alex exclaimed as Kane tried to trip the poor cat for the tenth time that day.
“Damn fat lard should be able to dodge it.” Kane replied smirking with mirth as Kalin took another nose dive into the shrubs. He still hadn’t forgotten when the dumb animal had abused his tail and he planed to get even.
They were well into the tropical forest and had been traveling for a few days now, all becoming wary of the heat, bugs the size of footballs and not to mention the raptors. Indeed everyone seemed annoyed and tired of this terrain, everyone except Rolic.
“Ah it brings me back ta da good ol days when we Darkspear ‘ad control of a good portion of Stranglethorn. Back den we were free an ‘appy ta do as we pleased!” Rolic sighed and took in a deep breath savoring the moist hot air that smelled of exotic flowers and fruit.
“Forgive me if I’m bursting your bubble but it’s a good thing the Horde found you trolls and gave you something to do..” Alex said.
“What yo talking bout?” Rolic looked at the redhead quizzically.
“Well hrmm lets see when trolls are left to themself’s they get bored and do some weird ass things…” She replied with a shiver.
“An what pray tell be dat?”
“For one you put you sweat in a bottle.” Alex scrunched up her face in disgust. “And what the hell is mojo?!”
This caused the party to break out in loud laughter; a few birds flew from the palm trees in alarm from the noise. Rolic glared at them with contempt.
“Ignorant ‘umands like yo self wouldn’ unda stan da majestic ways of da troll.” Rolic growled.
“Oh so ‘majestic’ is what you guys call it? Weird ass freaks is what I would say it is.” Alex once again led the group’s laughter. Rolic stayed silent quietly brooding.
A few hours later the party stopped deciding that it was time to make camp. The sun was setting causing brilliant sparks of red, orange and pink to shoot across the tropical skys reflecting the forest in unearthly colors.
“Ok I’m going to hunt for dinner.” Ciera set down a few packs of food and supplies she had been carrying.
“I’m gonna go wit cho mon! I be a good ‘unter!” Rolic clenched his fist enthusiastically.
“What’s your class?” Ciera asked eyeing the troll with worry.
“I be a rouge!”
“Hrm ya know its kind of dangerous out there..” She said with mock concern.
“Yo be mocking me!”
“Well if you think you can keep up with a bad ass elf then you can come I guess..” Ciera said mischievously.
“Ah challenge! I be coming!” He said grabbing the two short swords from a pack that they had given him.
“Alex can you set up camp we’ll be back shortly.” Ciera jumped up into the trees with Kalin and Rolic hot on her trail.
“Well looks like I’m left with the happy couple.” Syrean said sarcastically. ”How joyous.”
“Hey! That was uncalled for my heart hurts now!” Kane joked grabbing his chest in mock pain.
Alex sighed and grabbed the tent pack pulling the contraption from its sheath before tossing it to Kane who was making faces at Syrean who was intern made faces back.
Kane took the tent and saluted Alex. “Not to worry my lady I The great Kane shall have this up and perfected by the time you can say ‘tent’!” He then set to pulling and pushing the tent to get it to perfect stature, getting tangled growling menacingly and trying again.
This went on for about 10 minutes before Alex decided to give him a pointer. “Kane first thing you do is put stakes in the ground.”
“I totally knew that! I was umm testing you both!” Kane grabbed a few stakes from the tent bag and looked triumphant.
He almost had it up when it sprung to the side sending the poor elf flying 15 feet to the left to tumble into the weeds.
“Did you see that?!” Kane exclaimed excitedly pulling himself up, it looked as if he had hit his head. “That was AWESOME!” He ran back at the tent and started wrestling with it.
“Let’s go get firewood and leave the genius here to get this thing working.” Syrean said sitting up after Kane flew to the side once more. Alex nodded and set off into the brush with the undead.
“Don’t worry I know exactly what I’m doing!” Kane said as he tackled the tent again.

"That’s enough let’s head back.” Syrean started too bent over to pick up the wood when Alex stopped her.
“No…wa..wait! Let’s rest a bit.” Alex panted and fell back onto the mossy ground.
Syrean walked over to the near unconscious human and poked her with a bone toe. “Alright but only for a little bit, it’s getting dark.”
“Thanks.” Alex smiled at the undead girl gratefully. Syrean plopped beside her with a sigh; she turned her head to look at Alex and frowned.
‘She almost looks like..” Her glowing eyes widened in shock. ‘The Theramore girl…’

“Syrean! Get your boney ass front and center, you’re our priest.” An over sized orc barked pushing her roughly with a bulky hand toward the front of the mob, she now faced the human town gate reluctantly.
“If you intent to keep your soul, you will never touch me again.” She snarled at the orc who intern ignored her completely. ‘Pompous asshole’ she thought venomously eyeing their so called ‘raid leader’.
“The rest of you move your hides we’ve already been seen!” The orc pumped hit fist in the air causing the crowed to cheer out excitedly. “FOR THE HORDE!!!” With that they charged the fortress tearing through the poor defenses like tissue paper.
“Stupid.” Rolic said miserably stepping next to Syrean who was walking casually along with the mob casting a few healing spells when needed but manly disgusted by the barbaric ness of the mob.
“Why are we attacking such a low defensive town again?” Syrean asked.
“An easy win.” Was all Rolic said as he stelthed and walked forward to begin his own missions.
A few hours later the town was in ruin, building stood crumpled and burned and the people which were housed by then dead and strewn around the ruble. ‘Blood’ and ‘death’ were the only words that come to mind when Syrean walked amongst the gloom feeling guilt wash over her.
“DO IT TROLL!” an angry voice screamed to the left. Syrean jumped a bit and turned to see what the commotion was all about.
Her companion was being held at arms length by the raid leader and being shook violently.
“Yo sick if yo tink I would be capable of sum tin like dat.” Rolic spat at the orc clutching his green forearm with hate.
“Betrayer of the Horde.” The orc threw Rolic to the ground with a growl.
“What the hell is going on here?!” Syrean ran up and in front of her fallen friend to protect him with her small body.
“Daddy!” A pitiful voice sobbed from behind them.
Three pairs of eyes looked back at a small redheaded girl sobbing and clutching the chest of a male human that was no doubt dead. Her clothes were torn and she was covered in his blood. Syrean grimaced and felt another stab of guilt; she had been told that there were to be no civilians in the fortress.
“I won’t kill er” Rolic growled at the orc.
“Betrayer of the Horde, your people and friends.” He bellowed back.
“You’re a sick.” Rolic spat.
“Fine if you abandon the Horde then we abandon you.” His beady black eyes turned to Syrean who was still staring at the girl.
“Syrean come leave this traitor we need to report back to our superiors, but first I’ll finish what Rolic started.” The orc raised his gun aiming at the sobbing child. “Die wretch.”
The gun let out its bullet with a mighty ‘boom’ Rolic screamed ‘NO!’ and screwed his hazel eyes shut in misery. The smoke cleared and Rolic strained his ears for the girl’s cries and was shocked to hear just that.
For there directly in front of the oblivious girl stood Syrean, eyes glowed with hate and venom that was directed at the orc. The orc intern stood frozen and stunned.
Syrean gasped and clutched her belly dark fluid gashed from her clawed hand as she fell forward.
“Syrean!” Rolic dashed forward and caught her before she fell to the dirty ground.
Rolic turned her so that her small back rested on the belly of his arms and his hands cradled her gently. Blood flowed from the wound like a river making her grimace in agony.
“Idiot.” Rolic said sadly before glaring at the orc. “Murderer.”
“I didn’t…she got in the way..” He dropped the gun which clattered to the ground. “Not my fault…..not my fault” He turned around and ran the opposite direction.
As he ran his voice floated back to them. “You’re no longer welcome to the Horde! Exile!”
“Like I give a damn.” Syrean growled.
A sudden anguished scream came from behind them; the girl was clutching her head with bloodied hands as she stood up and started walking toward a cabin sobbing incoherent words.
“Go help her.” Syrean whispered to Rolic, she was near fainting.
“Not until you’re healed.” Rolic picked up the undead women and walked away from the scene, away from the town.
Syrean watched the girl from Rolic’s protective grasp and to her relief saw a night elf warrior follow her into the home.
‘Good.’ She thought before giving into the darkness of unconsciousness, ‘you’re safe.’

“Enough rest lets go.” Syrean said pushing Alex to her feet.
“Alright.” Alex bent down and picked up her pile of lumber enthusiastically.
“I happy you were spared..” Syrean muttered more to herself then to the redhead.
“What was that Syrean?” Alex asked quizzically looking over her shoulder.
“Nothing.” Syrean smiled as they came into the clearing with the tent victoriously on top of Kane who was out cold.
