Bonus Level: Lisa

The sparkling expanse of the ocean stretched as far as the eye could see, and a ninja’s eye can see very far indeed.

Ryu’s trusty canoe glided across the shimmering waves, staying true to its master’s course. Ryu kept a sharp eye on the sun, and relied heavily on his innate and uncanny directional sense. His strong arms worked the paddle in and out of the water on either side, steadily driving his canoe forward.

Ryu sniffed the air, and his eyes lit up. He adjusted his course and picked up speed.

It had been nearly three days since he had received a letter from Kasumi. She had left a week earlier with Ayane for parts unknown. Ryu knew that the two sisters enjoyed their time alone, and though he would never say as much aloud, he found that their technique always improved with private “family time” as Kasumi and Ayane called it. The young ninja had been looking forward to their return and the heated reunion that would follow, but instead he received a letter written in dark generalities, and references to some sort of competition that Kasumi and Ayane were engaged in. All that mattered to Ryu was that they needed his help. He set off at once for the location detailed in the letter.

At long last Ryu’s sharp eyes caught sight of the island. Paradise seemed too small a word. The lush, verdant flora cascaded down rolling hills down to the white sand of the beach. A toucan cawed off in the distance, rising over the soft rustling of the leaves in the gentle breeze.

The canoe came to a smooth stop on the sun soaked beach in perfect silence. Ryu leapt out and scanned the shoreline once more, but saw nothing. Ryu moved down the beach, keeping a wary eye on the dense foliage.

“Wondered when you would finally show up.” A woman’s called out from the tree line. The Dragon Sword was in Ryu’s hand in a flash.

“Show yourself!” Ryu called into the jungle.

“Sure thing, Ryu. Just calm down.” A blond woman stepped out from among the palm trees, and approached him casually. She wore a salient silver V-shaped swimsuit so meager it hardly qualified as a suit at all. Her long muscular legs seemed to go on forever, but it was as Ryu’s eyes rose to take in her chest that he finally made the connection.

“Tina.” Ryu greeted her in confusion, quickly sheathing the Dragon Sword. “What are you doing here?”

“I could ask you the same thing,” Tina walked up to Ryu, stopping so close to him that her barely contained bosom brushed his chest. She licked her lips. “You finally want a rematch?”

“Did we not already?” Ryu spoke with a slight glimmer in his eye at the memory of the massive orgy Kasumi and Ayane had prepared for him after his quest had been achieved.

A moment later the brush rustled and another woman emerged. Her smooth dark skin was striking, and her short auburn hair was styled in a subtle swath over her right eye. Writer Commentary

The bonus levels are best enjoyed as separate entities from the main Koibito "encounters." These stories feature additional characters and are set roughly during the game Dead or Alive Xtreme 2. The setting of Zack's tropical island with the DOA girls sporting bikinis was simply too perfect to pass up.

Lisa, being our first Bonus Level character, was something of a mystery to me. I still haven't played DOA4, so I had to do some research on Lisa to find any sort of personality profile. The ease with which she gets to know other people seemed to be her defining character trait, so the sex scene would revolve around her amiable personality and the knowledge of Ryu which she has gained by chatting with the other DOA girls. The setup for the sex still feels rushed to me, and there is simply no actual reason given for them to start doing it there on the sand. The main series always had some reason (lame as they were) for Ryu to bed the girl, but Lisa just sort of pops by and after a short introduction with Tina, Ryu and her just go at it.

I like the sex scene itself, though. Lisa doesn't take it too seriously, but seems to just be enjoying herself. She references Helena's enjoyment of rear-entry intercourse, and Tina's admiration for Ryu. Lisa is just a chatterbox, and comments freely during their love making. The final climax moment is supposed to evoke the iconic imagery of the film "From Here to Eternity." And we're left with the impression that Ryu and Lisa continue their escapades for quite a while. Ryu seems to be getting used to all this.
