The Chaos Within

Sorry for the delay in updating after the next set of 5 reviews were given. Stuff happened that involved sleep and work. Anyway, here they are. Only two more chapters to go! Keep reviewing! I promise to be more linient on my next story.

Knux lays by the Master Emerald shrine, the wind peacefully sweeping by as he snores. He's suddenly awakened by a soft glow from the gigantic Emerald. He looks within, knowing its trying to tell him something. He sees Rouge within the facets, though she seems... distorted somehow. He also sees Chaos beside Amy as the two combine into one, Amy's usual cheery smile replaced with a dark stare and a slight smirk.

"What in the world... What are you trying to tell me, Master Emerald?"

The giant stone does not answer him as the light fades and the images disappear. He looks to the distance and sees a figure flying towards him that he recognizes as Rouge.

"Was the Master Emerald trying to warn me...? She better not try anything funny."

Knuckles puts his hand on the Emerald, smiling softly as he says, "I'll be right back..."

He sees Rouge land on the Angel Island beach/forest line. The area was still charred after all these years, even after his attempts to rebuild the area. He wasn't even a quarter finished. Rouge has apparently spotted Knuckles, because she starts running off in his direction, waving.

"Hey, Knuckles!" she yells as she continues running towards him. He seems on his guard as she approaches. She seems to be dressed for a day at the beach as she stops in front of him. "Hey there, Red. Long time no see."

"What do YOU want here, Rouge? I hope you don't plan on trying to steal the Master Emerald AGAIN!"

"Now what would make you think that little old me would do that, Knuckles? No, I'm here for a little fun, a little sun... And you. Knuckles, I don't know how to say this but... Ever since the ARK... Knuckles, what I'm trying to say is..."

"What? Spit it out, already!"

"I love you."

Knuckles stands there, mouth gaping, while Amy forces Rouge to blush, her plan seeming to be working. Get his guard down and then take what she wanted, through whatever means necessary.

"You... You what? Rouge, I... I don't know what to say."

Amy goes up to Knuckles and kisses him on the cheek, whispering into his ear, "You don't need to say anything." She then kisses him full on the lips, Knuckles obviously enjoying it, though a bit startled. Amy is thankful that those emotions of Rouge were real, and that she just needed to prod them out rather than having to act them out full fledgedly.

Knuckles then embraces her as they fall to the sands, rolling around, kissing each other. When they finally stop rolling, Amy, as Rouge, finally ends up on top of Knuckles as she kisses him one final time. Knuckles is glad to return the kiss, but something was wrong. He could feel something crawling down his throat and Rouge would not let go. He tries to free himself, but she has him pinned. Rouge then morphs into Amy as she says, "Nice to know you care, Red. Its time for you to join her."

The Master Emerald glows brightly, visible from even where the two lay as Knuckles struggles to get loose as Amy continues to poor inside of him. A bright pink orb shoots out of it, landing near Amy and Knux. A sudden flash of light comes from the orb as Tikal appears, a worried look on her face.

"Amy. Don't let Chaos control you. Fight it! Leave the guardian be. There is no point to your actions."

Amy sneers at the ancient echidna, melting around Knuckles, her torso jutting up from the ball of water that surrounded the poor guardian.

"Chaos does not control me, Tikal. I control him. With all his friends at my disposal, Sonic will finally be mine!"

"No, Amy. That's not true! Chaos has twisted your mind, clouded it. He is using you as the object of his revenge against Sonic, not trying to help you! Can't you see?" Tikal pleaded to Amy.

"That's where you're wrong. You won't stop me! All of the people that try and keep me and my darling Sonic apart will suffer the same fate!"

Amy was almost done absorbing into Knuckles. As her head sinks into his, the assimilation completed as he melted and reformed, and thus says, "You're too late for this one, Tikal. And now it's your turn. You will not stop me!"

Tikal goes wide eyed as she is pounced upon by a large ball of water, but does not fight it.

"Fine. If you refuse to listen to reason, then I will not help you, Amy. I'm sorry. I hope that you soon come to realize the foolishness of your actions."

The camera fades to Tikal laying in the sun, wearing Rouge's bikini.

"Ahhh... This is nice. A break every once in a while doesn't hurt anyone. That's... Almost everyone... Just two more Chaos Emeralds and one more person... Tomorrow, I'm going to Prison Island... That's where the red blip is... And I know that my future husband has the green. And then I'll have all seven emeralds..."

She falls asleep on the beach as the sun begins to set, the half moon rising high in the sky.


Knuckles and Tikal have both met their fate as their minds, bodies and souls have been absorbed by the Chaos tainted Amy Rose. The only people with the knowledge of how to stop Chaos have been dealt with, as well. Can Amy be stopped? And what will happen when she gets all seven emeralds? Find out next chapter!
