Chapter 7


“Heeheehee.” Lindsay laughed. The Zero Virus is controlling her and has been for years. As the virus spreads, it’ll consume her completely and make her even more powerful and stronger. But what is more terrifying is that she’s now a killer thirsting for bloodlust like all mavericks.

Axl and X had no idea what to do now. But X was shocked as he saw Evilmon. He.. he looks mostly like me! Bass was calm as ever. He knew more about Zero and Lindsay better than anyone. He was their trainer. He knew her weakness and Zero’s as well. Ever since Dr. Wily had built Zero and revived Lindsay back to life, he got information on both of them from the comp data base. He even knew all along that the two were in love with each other from the beginning. Treble growled and roared protectively as Zephyer was behind the wolf bot.

Soldjermon decided to back off since Lindsay was fighting. From what X and Zero have told her, she doesn’t like it when others butt into her battle with someone. Even Lindsay will attack Soldjermon if she interferes, but to Lindsay, Soldjer is like a sister to her. Since she’s become a maverick, is she going recognize Soldjer? That’s the question.


Zero was concerned. “Lindsay...” He tries to get her to recognize him.

Lindsay attacked Evilmon at full force. “Haaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrr!!!”

Evilmon smirked and blocked her attack. “Is that the best you can do!?”

She smirked evilly and shot a beam at him. It didn’t hit him much. She snarled. “Mortal!” she threw a kick but he blocked it.

“A mortal? You’re a fool!” He punched her hard on her face.

“GARRRRRRRRR!!” She was hit back 20 ft against the wall leaving a hole in the wall.


Signas and the others were watching the whole battle.

“Unbelieveable! Lindsay’s winning!” said one hunter.

Everyone in the room were cheering for her. Melissa and Leon were watching too. Lifesaver and Alia were concerned however. Both know that she’s being controlled by the virus.

“If the hunters don’t act fast then Lindsay will be in complete control of the virus.” Said Lifesaver.

“I know but this is the only way for her to win.” Said Alia.

“Not exactly. Remember she has a powerful transformation.” Said Signas.

Everyone looked at him in confusion. “What do you mean?” said one hunter.

“You’ll see. Lindsay will definitely transform soon.” Signas said to them as he continued to watch the screen.

Lindsay jumped out of the wall and attacked Evilmon again at full force. For 3 hours they have been delivering blasts at one another and both seem not to be tired at all. Evilmon however continued to use his powerful attacks but Lindsay keeps regenerating making it more difficult for him to kill her.

“Why can’t I kill her? She’s immortal is far as I know but how come she can’t die!? There’s gotta be a weakness.” He growled.

Lindsay laughed. “Weak as you are. You still can’t lend a wound on me, even though I continue to heal.”

“Arrogant fool.”

She smirked as she lifted her hand at him.

He was shocked. My attack!? How can that be!!?

“Heh. SONICE BLADE!!! HARRAAAGH!!” The beam fired right at him.

Evilmon jumped out of the way just in time. “THAT WOMAN COPIED MY ATTACK!!” He didn’t see her. “Huh? Where did she go?”

She laughed. She was behind him! “Behind you.”

He gasped and in shock.

“Hi. Nice day huh?” She laughed. The ‘W’ mark was still on her forehead.

He snarled. “How? How can you copy my move?”

She laughed. “Oh. I know a lot of attack moves.”

He was shocked. “Even my sister’s?”

She smirked. “Maybe.”

He was shocked. She hasn’t known Soldjer’s attacks yet. That is his weakness, but of course Lindsay knows this.

“I know your weakness Evilmon.” She said.

“What?!”

She smirked. “Power of Balance.” She said as she lifted a finger. She shot a beam from her finger right at Evilmon.

Evilmon was hit. “Arrrrrrggghh!!” His body was split in two and two figures were there. They were both Evilmon himself. One however was a kind one while the other was evil. Both looked the same as ever but different.

Soldjermon looked up. “What happened?”

“Balance.” Said Bass.

“Huh?” they all said.

“Balance?” said Signas. Even he has no clue on what Bass said. Everyone in the room was also clueless.


Lindsay smirked. “Balance Evilmon. I spilt your body as a Yin and Yang. I’m sure you’ve heard of it.”

“What!!? You put me back in my body!!” said the evil Evilmon.

“Don’t worry about my other half. He’s cranky a lot at times.” Said the good Evilmon.

“Holy crap! There are two Evilmons!” said Axl.

“That’s because Lindsay has separated them into one being. Yin and Yang. Good and Evil. Light and Dark.” Said Bass.

“I see. The good Evilmon doesn’t like to kill. Kind of like X and the evil Evilmon likes to kill people like Zero.” Said Axl.

“That’s right Axl. But it’s no good for the Earth or anyone. Lindsay doesn’t want the earth to be corrupted. If the balance of earth is corrupted, then evil and good will be locked in battles for all eternity.” Said Bass. Treble roared in agreement.

Lindsay laughed. “Now, how do you feel about being apart and listening to your good side?”

“I don’t like it!!” said the evil Evilmon.

“I like it.” Said the good Evilmon who is happy.

“Oh man. I hate to see what one of us would look like if we’re split up like that.” Said X who looked like he was about to puke.

Zero ran toward where Lindsay was. I gotta stop her! If this continues then the virus will spread! She won’t remember me or our son! I don’t want to lose her!

Lindsay punched the two Evilmons and the two of them fell hitting the ground hard. She then shot the beam back at him putting the two back into his body. She smirked. “Pathetic. And he’s suppose to be strong.” She landed. Evilmon was knocked out.

“She did it!” said Axl.

Soldjermon however was unsure. She knows her brother is not out just yet.

Zero rushed to her. “Lindsay!”

She turned around. “Zero?”

“It’s me. Zero. You’re mate.”

“Zero..” she recognized him but she was still in the control of the virus.

“Lindsay.. you must stop this. You are not yourself. Please.. stop.” he walked over to her.

“Get back!!” she snarled. “I’ll come after you next!”

“You wouldn’t do that now would you?”

She snarled. Zero got closer. He loved her a lot and never wanted to see her as a maverick. He was closer. They were inches from each other. Lindsay started to pant hard and breathe hard as well. Even though she’s a maverick, still she knows that he’s her mate. Zero was about to kiss her when... “GAAAAAAAAHHH!!” Both Lindsay and Zero were struck through their stomachs. Lindsay coughed up blood and so did Zero.

“Ghaaaaahaaahaaa!!” Evilmon laughed as he withdrew his hand out of their stomachs. His arm is leaking in their blood.

Zero collapsed as Lindsay just stood there watching him fall to the ground. She was shocked. Her mate was struck. She healed her wound and was now angry as ever. Her mouth glowed as she fired her attack at Evilmon at full power.

Evilmon was struck and was sent flying along with her attack. “GAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAA!!” He and the blast was sent toward the sky.

“ZERO!!” Shouted both X and Axl.

“Daaaddddy!!!” Zephyer cried as he ran to his parents.

Lindsay looked back down at Zero. He was bleeding heavily. Her memory came back. “Zero..?”

“Lin.. Lindsay...”

“Daddy!! Mommy!!” he reached to them. Lindsay sees and recognizes her son. “Zephyer?” Her memory came back. My family. She sees Zero bleeding heavily. She shoots a beam at him. Zero was healed completely. “Zero?”

Zephyer looked at his father. “Daddy?”

“I’m alright son. Lindsay healed me.” He said as he looked at her. Zephyer hugged his father and crying. Zero patted his back soothing him. “It’s alright son. I’m fine.”

Lindsay slummed on her knees. I can’t believe this. I almost killed my family. I went maverick again. She was now scared. What if she transforms and doesn’t recognize everyone? Would she kill them? She held her head and shaking her head. She had failed Zero yet again. She was pulled and was in his arms.

“You didn’t fail me. It’s not your fault.” He said.

Zephyer hugged both his mother and father. He was scared and just saw Zero almost getting killed.

Lindsay hugged Zero and her son. “I’m.. sorry.” She then shed a tear. This has never happened before in her life and now she’s crying.


Soldjer and everyone else was watching this and were shocked. Lindsay was feeling emotion.

“I never seen her like this before.” Said Axl.

“We all haven’t.” said X.

Treble however was crying too. Bass just sweat dropped.

“How touching. But I think it’s time for you all to die.”

Lindsay and Zero gasped as Evilmon landed. Treble ran fast and grabbed Zephyer out of the way. X and Bass ran to protect both Lindsay and Zero. “We’ll take it from here.”

“Demi run!” said Bass.

“What!?”

“Do it! Get Zero out of here!”

Zero and Lindsay nodded as the two ran to where Soldjermon was at. Evilmon sneered. “Do you really think you two can protect them?” He lifted a hand and swiped them both sending them 10 ft.

“Aaaaaarrrgggh!!”

“X! Bass!” said Axl.

Lindsay was now angry. “EVILMON!!!!” She ran over to him. She was pissed as hell.

“No.. Demi.. don’t! He’s too strong!” said Bass who was wounded. X was wounded as well.

Evilmon smirked. “Coming back for more, eh? What do you have up your sleeve this time?”

“You’ll see. Something that you will fear right before everyone’s eyes.” She snarled.

Bass gasped. No. She’s going to transform!
