Butler pack Ash and Max in Box, then Butler pokemon Dusclop destroy the box after the transport Ash and Max in field the magic show for people. Max ask about Crystal and they respond by saying the crystal contains a Pok¨¦mon named Jirachi. Butler tells everyone that Jirachi only awakens once every 1000 years, and is sleeping inside the crystal, which acts like a cocoon. To wake up Jirachi, the crystal needs two things; the Millennium Comet to be visible in the night sky and a best friend chosen by destiny. Max happens to be the chosen one, so Diane gives him the crystal and as the crystal is due to appear in the sky that night it seems Max's new friend will awaken soon.



May buy a wish maker, stallholder say every night she fold a panel to for her wish come true. Max ready to sleep in night Then, a mysterious light surrounds it, and Jirachi appears! Max introduces everyone to Jirachi. Daine say prophecy was true, Max wish for snacks then bus was full by snacks. Jirachi not create this but he teleported them from shop. A another creature Absol Disaster Pokemon sensed the wake up of Jirachi and go towards him.



Next day, Jirachi play with Max by steal his glasses, Max hears an eerie sound coming from the mirror. The mirror breaks, revealing Absol. Butler recognizes Absol, a Pok¨¦mon which is known to appear just before a disaster. Butler open a trap and catch Absol and sleep him by Kirlia. During night May fold second panel of her wishmaker. Butler put a machine which revealed Groudon to get revenge by Team Magma. Butler ask Jirachi to open Millennium Eye for revived Groudon but Jirachi refuse it. Dusclop forse to open Millennium Eye by torturing and he open his Millennium Eye hitting to comet and going back to hit Jirachi. Absol is come for save Jirachi and take back to Forina. Butler machine explode and Jirachi hurt, Absol break the cage and save the Jirachi. Diane take all in bus and travel to Ferina, she tell Butler backstory, Butler tracking them.



Third day, Ash fall down with May then Max and Jirachi laugh. Diane tell Butler join Team Magma to revive the Groudon from fossil but he need more power or Team Magma kick him for destroy equipment, he decided to use Jirachi Millennium Eye to dream comes true. May fold her third panel.



Fourth day, May fold her fourth Panel, Ash and Max play stone throw, Max wins.



Fifth day, Ash assures Max that really good friends never really leave, and tells him that he recently separated fromone of his best friends and although he misses her a lot he knows that she's still with him in spirit. Max cheers up, knowing that he and Jirachi will still be friends even if separated. May fold her fifth panel.



Sixth day, The gang arrives at Forina, Jirachi's homeland. Many other Pok¨¦mon live there, such as Nuzleaf, Breloom, Tropius, Linoone, Flygon, and Altaria. May folds the sixth panel of her Wish Maker and the gang prepares to sleep, everyone except Max, who knows tomorrow he and Jirachi will part. He plans to remain awake and play with Jirachi when everyone else has fallen asleep, however he drops off to sleep when May sings the lullaby.



Last day, Absol lead them cave where Jirachi absorb comet power and fall sleep for 1000 years. As Jirachi is going to open his Millennium Eye, spikes come out of the walls and purple energy beams capture Jirachi, Butler is finally going to bring Groudon back to life. Abdol and Flygon break spikes, where Butler send Salamence to Fight them, Groudon slowly rising. Groudon finally complete and stuck Pokemon and Earth energy, he stuck Absol then Altaria, Butler claims that isn't the Groudon he want, he also suck human energy. Groudon try to eat Butler but Daine block the way eaten by Groudon. Butler is sad for this then Groudon go to eat May, buy he not able to eat May because some energy protect her, the energy from Ash, May and Max first time see use this. Now Ash open his Chakra he reveal himself in Tail Beast, One Tail Shukako is, it is like the size of Groudon, Ash start beat him by Punch, continue beating or in last knock out Groudon, Groudon is not able to do anything. Groudon is slowly dragged by a white meteor made by Ash and he explode by release all Pokemon he eat or Diana. Butler, May and Max was shocked by see Ash. Jirachi thanks Ash for save him, Jirachi then descends the sky and asks Max one final wish; the lullaby. Everyone starts singing while Jirachi returns inside the crystal and sinks into the earth. Max cries for a short time, and wishes Jirachi a good night and sweet dreams. After this Ash brainwash of Butler and Daine how the Groudon is died he also delete the memory of Max what he see about Ash, only the Pokemon, May and Brock know this.



Next morning Butler and Daine decide to stop in Forina, May not fold his seventh wishmaker, because she says her dream is in her front, no take by wish. As the group leaves, Jirachi communicates to Max using telepathy, saying that they will always stay best friends forever. When Absol see Ash in alone then he want to come with Ash because he feel the power of Ash.

Ash and friends are headed to Fallarbor Town when they are nearly hit by a Bagon jumping off a cliff. Ash sends out Taillow to attack the Bagon, but a girl named Michelle leaps out to accuse them of launching a sneak attack. After learning Bagon was at fault, Michelle apologizes and explains that her Bagon is trying to learn how to fly.

Ash challenges Michelle to a battle so Bagon can get more experience so it will evolve into Shelgon and then Salamence. With Michelle using her special computerized glasses to guide Bagon, Pikachu beat the Bagon.

After this Team Rocket came Meowth swoops down wearing a jetpack and grabs Bagon. Treecko hits the helicopter with Bullet Seed, causing Team Rocket to drop the remote control for the jetpack. Ash and the others run to find Bagon. Ash tells Michelle that she needs to encourage Bagon more so it can evolve.

Bagon and Treecko use the jetpack to follow Team Rocket and attack the helicopter, freeing Pikachu. Pikachu zaps the helicopter, sending Team Rocket blasting off again. Bagon, Treecko, and Pikachu ride through the sky on the jetpack, and when they land, Bagon evolves into Shelgon. Michelle was happy to see this.
