Don't Think of Me

Both of the got up running to the edge of the counter where they had left Atem and saw something that made their hearts lurch. Atem was sprawled out on the floor flat on his stomach screaming. From the corner of his mouth blood dribbled out leaking onto the floor. His face was red as he struggled to breathe in before letting out another pain filled shriek.
Sora bent down gently gathering Atem in his arms “He’s bleeding we should get him to a doctor now!” he shouted over Atem’s screams.

Riku nodded running and grabbing their coats. He grabbed a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt before came back over and opened the door. The two ran out, Sora holding Atem and Riku following. As they ran through the hall Cloud stuck his head out of his apartment “Hey Riku what the hell is going on!”

They ran pasted him and Riku called over his shoulder “Atem fell and we got to get him to the hospital…I’ll tell you about it later!”

When the two slid into the parking lot Sora handed Riku Atem and got in the drivers seat ignoring the puzzled look Riku was giving him. “Just get in the damn car and I’ll drive” Sora snapped.

Riku nodded knowing that Atem’s safety was more important right now. Sora pulled out and drove at a neck breaking speed breaking several traffic laws as he sped down the road to his destination. Aqua eyes widened when Sora pulled up to his mothers house and cut the engine. “What are we doing here?” Riku asked holding the still shrieking Atem to him.

“She’s a better doctor then any of them in the hospital, c’mon lets just get him in there” Sora panted his eyes filled with worry.

“Fine” Riku muttered getting out following Sora to the door. Before they could even knock the door burst open and Sora’s cousin, Yuki, stood there.

“What the…” he began but Sora cut him off when he pulled the door open and pushed him over.

“I’ll explain later but where is your aunt?” the brunette asked promptly.

“She’s down stairs…you better have a good reason for this…” Yuki grumbled looking over at Riku and then Atem.

Sora grabbed Atem from Riku’s arms and took off for the basement kicking the door open and flying down the stairs managing not to trip. When he reached the bottom he spotted his mother bent over a computer screen typing intently, she looked up at the sound of Atem’s pained screams and her eyes widened.

“Sora! What in the devils name are you doing! Why is Atemu here?” she asked getting up and coming over.

“Atem fell off of the counter and he’s bleeding, I’ll explain after you treat him , please mom he sounds like it’s really hurting him.” Sora said worriedly.

With a stern look Sora’s mom took the little baby and walked over to a metal table and set him down. “Yuki!” she called.

Not even a few seconds later Sora’s cousin came running down with an agitated look on his face. “Sora you damn well better have a good reason….i swear to god…and go talk to Riku…he looks ready to kill something”

“Riku’s here! Sora I expect a very thorough explanation after this…do you understand me young man?” his mother asked sharply. “I’ll treat Atemu but you need to get up there and talk to Riku and I’ll talk to the both of you when I’m done”

Sora gave a solemn nod “...Yuki …can…can you sort of fill mom in with what you know so far.”

“Ya…you just go up there…” the blonde snapped with a dismissive wave of his hand. With one last glance at Atem who was still crying, the brunette turned and walked back up the stairs where he found Riku pacing in the kitchen.

“Is he ok!” Riku asked stopping his pacing.

“I don’t know Yuki and his aunt are looking at him” Sora said softly.

“We shouldn’t have put him on the counter, god I’m stupid” Riku growled pounding his head on the table.
“I was the one who put him on there, it was both of our faults…we should have been watching him. Sitting here and beating our self’s up over it won’t do any good” the brunette snapped.

Riku looked up at Sora with surprised eyes before he nodded. “Ya I guess your right…”

The two sat at the table in silence neither saying anything for what seemed like hours. Finally the door to the basement opened and Sora’s mom, followed by Yuki, came up. In her arms was Atem who was sniffling with big watery eyes, when the baby saw his parents he reached out his chubby hands and began to cry again.

Riku got up quickly and took Atem into his arms hugging the baby close “You little runt, you scared the shit outta me back there” his whispered as he comforted the small infant.

“He cut the inside of him mouth, which was where the blood came from. Just be careful when you feed him and he’ll be alright in a couple of days” Yuki said petting Atem’s head with a smirk. “Playful little thing isn’t he?”

Sora watched smiling slightly, a sharp snapping of fingers got his attention and he turned to look into the very pissed off eyes of his mother.

“Let go down stairs really quick, I want to talk to you about something” she whispered harshly before grabbing Sora’s arm and pulling him down stairs.

When they got down there the small, but formidable, women turned and gave him a heated glare. “What in the world do you think you are doing! Do you have an idea of how traumatizing this can be on Atem! What about you, have you thought about yourself!” she screamed. “This is the most stupidest thing I have ever seen you do Sora! If you want to be around Atem then take him back! Tell Riku what happened, pretending and all this …this stupid bullshiting is going to do nothing but hurt Sora, I would have thought by now you’ve had enough hurting but no you had to go and do this! Tell me what in the fucking world possessed you to do this! You know how wrong this is, you can’t risk having Atem becoming attached to you, as seeing you as a motherly figure! Think of what it will be like when he’s older, think what it’s going to be like when Riku tells you to leave and you have to tell Atem goodbye! So what do you have to say about all of this!” She finished, by now she was red with rage and panting from all the shouting.

Sora looked to the floor not saying anything and taking in what his mother had said. After a bit more of silence his mother spoke again.

“You didn’t think about Atem did you Sora? You knew plain well of the problems it would cause you…but you didn’t think about your baby” she whispered with a hint of understanding. “Sora honey you can’t do this….you know you can’t…just tell Riku the truth and get Atem back. You can arrange for him to come and see Atem periodically if you want, just put things right…and no more secrets”

Sora nodded numbly, he couldn’t think of what to say, so much was going through his head. He glanced at his mom before going back up the stairs into the kitchen. Sora’s mom watched him go with a sad look in her eyes. “Oh Sora….”

Riku looked up as Sora came in and smiled “You ready to go? You can tell Sora’s mom that I’ll pay for the treatment”

“Oh don’t worry about it Riku dear, I don’t mind giving a freebee for a friend of the family” Said Sora’s mom as she came up.

“I’ll still give you something…I’d feel bad if I didn’t” Riku said, he looked over at Sora noticing the slightly put out look, before he could say anything though Atem butted in.

“Ora momma!” he whimpered reaching out to Sora.

Sora snapped out of his little daze and took Atem into his arms “How’s my little boy doing hm?” he gushed kissing Atem’s cheek.

“We should get going, thanks again” said Riku grabbing onto Sora’s arm gently “umm…if you see Sora around can you tell him to give me a call or something?”

Sora’s mother gave a slightly strained smile “oh yes, you never know Riku….that boy of mine just may pop up unexpectedly.”

“bye aunt” Sora muttered as pulled out of Riku’s grip, he walked to the door. With a last wave Riku followed him shutting the door. Riku took the drivers seat as they entered the car and Sora slipped into the passenger seat still cradling Atem.

“Well this was certainly an eventful morning” Riku sighed as he pulled out and drove off.

“You can say that again, but at least Atem is ok” Sora said kissing the head of soft downy hair. Atem cooed falling into a slumber; he curled his tiny body against Sora’s giving a content grunt.

As they drove on Riku’s cell phone rang, Riku answered it quickly and talked with who ever was on the other line.

“What …now? It’s my day off damn it!” Riku growled, he went silent as the person responded. “So I’m the only one who has to show, why can’t someone else show her around? I’m sure Seph wouldn’t mind , that shit head ain’t got nothing better to do” again Riku stopped , he finally gave a sigh “ ok, ok , stop your damn whining…I’ll be there in a while , and this better be worth it…” Riku expertly flipped the phone shut before turning to Sora.

“I got to go into work, some new Jr. Manager is taking over and they want me to give her a tour. Shouldn’t take to long, hopefully if the ‘one winged asshole’ doesn’t show up I’ll be home before dinner.” Riku grumbled.

Sora chuckled remembering the nickname that Riku had graciously given to their manager Sephiroth. Seph had been part of a legendary band called the ‘One Winged Angels’ hence where the name came from. “Does Sephiroth know you still call him that?”

“Not unless Vincent or Cloud snitch on me again” Riku mumbled “Cloud took Sora’s place after he quit, he’s ok but he could use some work still”, he cocked his head and looked at Sora “How’d you know my managers real name? Friends with him?”

Sora’s breath hitched in his throat, he quickly covered up his blunder “no, Sora told me about him and the name you gave him”

“Oh, figures, Sora was the one who helped name him” Riku snickered. They continued the rest of the drive in silence until they pulled up to the apartment complex. Sora got out but was stopped when he felt a tug at his shirt. “…um….wait…I got a little question” Riku said giving a sweet smile.

“What?”

“What’s your real name…I know you’re a guy…so what’s your real name?” Riku asked with a tilt of his head.

“Sky …my name is Sky” Sora answered, he wasn’t lying, Sora meant sky in Japanese.

“Sky…I like that name…alright then I’ll talk to you later tonight” The silver haired man said. Sora nodded closing the door to the car and watching as Riku sped down the street.

Atem blinked his eyes sluggishly before waking up completely rubbing his eyes. “Ora momma?”

“Hey there sleepy head, ready to go for a walk? Remember we told that nice lady we would go and talk to her…and boy do I need someone to talk to…but I think I should go change ne?” Sora asked as he walked inside.

After Sora changed, putting on a pair of baggy black jeans and a blue shirt that brought out his eyes, and getting Atem wrapped up , he headed back out locking the apartment up.

As they were walking down the hallway, the door to Cloud and Leon’s apartment opened up and a blonde head came into view. “Hey Sora what happened this morning?” cloud asked leaning against the door way.

“Atem fell off of the counter and cut his mouth, nothing to bad but we took him to my mom’s house and she fixed up him up” Sora answered.

Atem looked at cloud tilting his head before reaching out to pull at the blond locks but his pudgy hands couldn’t reach them. “Gah!”

“Well he looks alright to me , I though something worse happened with the way he was screaming his damn head off. For a second I thought you and Riku were killing him or something” Cloud muttered glancing at Atem and giving him a mock glare. Atem returned the glare while pouting evilly.

“He looks like Riku when he does that” said Leon coming up behind Cloud.

“I know, speaking of Riku, where is he?” cloud asked.

“They called him in and asked him to give a tour to a new Jr. Manager” Sora replied shifting Atem to the other arm.

“Heh so the ‘One Winged Asshole’ is calling in for backup? I knew he would snap” cloud snickered.

“I wouldn’t let Seph hear you call him that; you should have seen what he did to Riku when he caught him saying that.” Sora giggled “He pulled Riku by the ear and sat in a chair before he threw Riku over his lap and spanked him saying that his younger brother should be more careful with what he says.” Sora finished before dissolving into a fit of giggles.

Cloud’s eyes widened before he laughed “Wonder boy got his ass spanked!”

Sora chuckled softly and for a moment he felt more lighthearted. Then the thoughts of what his mother had told him earlier came back to him. His smile faded and he let out a long sigh.

Leon noticed his vanishing smile and quirked an eyebrow “What’s wrong with you?”

“Nothing, just some stuff has been bugging me and I’m confused….I need someone to talk to for a bit so I’m going over to a ladies house to talk” Sora answered with a slight smile.

“You can talk with us if you want, we’re not doing anything” Cloud said

“It’s ok, plus I told her I would be there today” Sora said, Atem fidgeted and began to blow spit bubbles again.

“Do you mind if we come with you?” Cloud persisted; Sora raised an eyebrow wondering why Cloud seemed to want to talk to him so bad.

“He wants to find out what Riku did to you and see if the rumors are true” Leon said answering his silent question.

“I am not!” cloud snapped before shrugging “well just a little”

Sora giggled “Sure why not, I need someone to help me keep an eye on Atem”

Sora waited while Leon and Cloud locked up their apartment before they headed off to the old women’s house. The walk was relatively quiet, Atem took another nap after getting bored with staring at Leon.

When they got there Antoinette was out on her porch just as she was the previous day , when she spotted Sora and Atem she stood up and beamed. “Sora dear, I’m glad you came! I see you brought little Atemu with you, aww isn’t he a little darling?” She gushed.

Sora climbed up the steps of the porch and smiled warmly “It was no problem, plus I could really use someone to talk to.”

“Oh my dear, why don’t you come in and you can tell me what’s bothering you” She offered, she looked over Sora’s shoulder and saw Cloud and Leon . “ oh and who are those fine young gentlemen?”

Sora turned and motioned to both “This is Leon” he said pointing to the brunette “and he’s Cloud” he finished pointing to the blonde. “Do you mind if they come in with me?”

“No not at all, hello Cloud and Leon, my name is Antoinette pleasure to meet you” she said giving them both a motherly smile.

“Hello” Leon said gruffly

“Pleasure to meet you too” cloud said giving Antoinette a charming smile.

The old women ushered the party into her house. She guided them into a well furnished living room and sat them each in large somewhat squishy chairs. “Make your self’s at home while I make some tea” She ordered before disappearing into the kitchen.

A few minuets later the elderly women came back in with four steaming cups of tea and a warm bottle. “I used to have children and I still have a few old bottles left” She said as she handed the bottle to Atem who quickly grabbed it and began sucking. Antoinette handed the tea out before seating herself in a chair next to Sora. “So tell me Sora dear, have you been cross dressing long?”

Sora choked on his tea before looking up sheepishly “It’s sort of hard to explain…”

“Start from the top Sora” Cloud quipped; he was seated comfortably on Leon's lap.

“Yes, from the top” Antoinette agreed with a nod of her head.

Sora let out a sigh “Well I’ll warn you now that a lot of this is going to sound really weird.”

“Try us” Leon said sipping his tea.

With another sigh Sora began “Well way back when I was 16 I got with Riku, he was my most best friend and I loved him…a lot. I got the guts to tell him about it and he said he felt the same…at least I thought he did. We kept going out for the longest time , about three years I think , but in the last few months I noticed he was changing…he was more distant…cold …and made me feel so unloved” Sora said , his eyes filled with pain as he remembered “I had a hunch that he was cheating on me…but I didn’t say anything. I let him do what he wanted. He would come home some nights smelling like perfume with lipstick all over his mouth and drunk as hell , he would snap at me and then force me into bed….he didn’t make love to me…it was more like being speared. One night he brought in some women and…” Sora paused blinking rapidly “ and he fucked her right in the living room and he told her I was nothing but his roommate. The next morning I asked him about it…and he told me….and we broke up” tears began to roll down Sora’s face.

Antoinette looked at him sadly “oh dear ….that must have hurt so much” She whispered.

“I didn’t care …I loved Riku so much…I still wanted him back and I waited….i waited for him to tell me he wanted me back…I waited for him to tell me it was all a fucked up joke and he never meant any of it. That wasn’t happening….so I quit the band. Me and Riku have been in the same band since middle school….but it kept reminding me of what we had and I couldn’t take it anymore so I quit. I still regret it and if I could I would love to go back.” Sora continued wiping his eyes “After our break up I moved back in with my mom and worked with her as an assistant…and then one day she came up with something huge. She found a way to make males able to carry and produce children, and I offered to be her first human test subject.”

The room was silent before Leon spoke up “so was the experiment a success?”

“Take a look at Atem, he’s the product” Sora said with a smile looking down at the silver haired bundle. Atem cooed and blew a little spit bubble.

“You mean you had Atem? But…I thought he was Riku’s….I mean he looks like him so how…” Cloud stopped as realization hit him.

“Ya…he’s Riku’s…and ya me and Riku had sex again after we broke up. He called me out of no where and asked to talk to me. It was his birthday so I bought him something and we talked for a bit. Then when we were walking back he shoved me against a wall and just kissed me…I swear to god he was going to fuck me on the wall had he not stopped and thought about what he was doing. We didn’t stop, he took me out to an old hotel and we …well you know”

“And you let him?” cloud asked shocked “He fucking treated you like shit and you let him fuck you! What in the hell were you thinking!”

Leon pulled cloud back into his lap and held him down “keep quiet”

Antoinette sighed “Well Sora dear I don’t think that was such a wise choice on your part. But I can tell that, that isn’t what’s bothering you….it’s something else”

Sora gave a tiny smile “ya…I guess. After that I found out I was pregnant and I had Atem nine months later. Before Atem was born though I had run into Riku at a confession thing at some counseling job I got , he didn’t know it was me at the time and he told me how he had wanted both me and other women…he acted like he cared and I got hopeful and at the same time pissed. When we finished I told him it was me and he chased me through the building, he…he knocked me against a wall and then pushed me around…and when I fell it caused me to go into labor and Atemu was born”

“That mother fucking asshole” Cloud fumed but kept still.

“A few days after Atem was born I gave him to Riku and soon after I met up with Riku again, dressed up like a girl and offered to work for him.”

“Riku is really stupid if he didn’t notice that it’s you and not some girl” Leon grunted.

“Well he knows that I’m a guy…but he doesn’t know it’s me though…”

“He’s not stupid, he’s fucking dense” cloud snapped “So what in the hell made you want to work for him?”

“I did it so I can be around Atem…but …I don’t love Riku not anymore...” Sora said choking up and savagely wiping the tears away “My mom wants me to tell Riku the truth …but I can’t…Atem…”

“It’s not about Atem, it’s about you Sora….and as much as you deny it…you are still in love with Riku” Antoinette said sharply.

“No I...” Sora began but the women cut him off.

“You keep saying that because you don’t want to believe that you love him. You still care for Riku and I don’t think even you realize it. Your trying to have what you can’t by staying with Riku and deceiving him” she continued.

Sora shook and began to sob “….I do….I do still love him and I don’t want to!” he cried pitifully “I don’t want to have him use me again…but I don’t’ care any more. If it mean’s he’ll love me then I’ll do it…I don’t care!” Sora sobbed. “He can rape me, he can use me I don’t care as long as he’s there! I love him …I don’t’ care anymore…”

SMACK

Sora gasped as his cheek stung, he looked up with watery eyes up at Cloud. The blonde was breathing heavily and the fires of hell were burning in his eyes.

“What in the fucking hell is wrong with you!” he shouted

“I…I…”

SMACK “don’t even start with that shit! What the hell are you crying for huh? Why are you being so damn weak! How can you let Riku, that fucking silver haired asshole control you like this!”

Sora whimpered and held his stinging cheek. Antoinette took Atem from him and walked into the kitchen leaving them in privacy. “I love him…I don’t care if he hurts me….I can’t live with out him…I..”

SMACK “Get” SMACK “It” SMACK “Together” SMACK , SMACK Cloud screamed. “You’re acting like a fucking girl! What kind of man are you huh? Are you so weak that you’ll let Riku walk all over you like a welcome home mat? How can you let someone who isn’t even worthy of being with you, walk all over you? So you love him , good , I’m happy , but you need to make Riku pay back! You need to show him that your not some weak little bitch that he can use when he wants!”

Sora whimpered clutching his cheek “Stop it , …I can forget what Riku did…I want him to love me again …I can’t take it…my heart can’t live with out him…he’s…”

SMACK “Cut it out with the pity fucking speech! You can live with out him Sora, he learned to live with out you. What you need to do is wake up, and smell the fucking coffee already! Riku does not deserve to know you, he shouldn’t have had the privilege of being your lover, and hell I don’t even think he should be your baby’s father! Love him Sora, love him all you want. You can love him with all that you are, you can give every ounce, every breath to make him happy but in the end it will all amount to absolutely nothing, you hear me NOTHING!” Cloud roared “ Riku is not worth crying over , he’s not even worth the love you have for him. If you want something to cry about , I’ll give you something to cry about , I’ll keep smacking the shit out of you until you get it together. I bet you like that huh? You’ll take the hits and cry like a weak baby , a weak little baby who will let someone treat you like the lowest life form just for a little fuck time huh?” SMACK, SMACK, SMACK…SMA….

PUNCH Cloud fell to the ground, holding a hand up to his eye where a hard punch was landed. Standing over him was Sora; his eyes were blazing with fury and zeal. His face was red from the smacks and anger; he looked ready to kill despite his busted lip and blood leaking from his mouth.

“Don’t you ever call me weak again!” Sora screamed “I’m not a fucking baby that you can smack around. I’m not going to let anyone walk all over me again, not even Riku”

Cloud smirked “oh? Really now?”

“I’m going to make him suffer….suffer just like I did. I’m going to show him that I’m worth keeping, I’ll show him that I’m not some weak bitch he can use” Sora shouted as angry tears fell, he wiped them away savagely.

“Good, it’s nice to see I’ve got you to wake up there” Cloud muttered getting up. Sora raised his fist to hit Cloud again but it was caught by Leon before he had the chance. Furious ocean blue met with calm and collected stormy blue. “What you need to do is calm down Sora”

“Let me go” Sora growled

“You are still very much the same Sora, you haven’t changed all that much at all” Came a cold voice from a dark corner in the room. Sephiroth stepped out of the shadows and walked over with a sick smile.

“S-S-Seph!” Sora sputtered.

“Holy shit, what the fuck are you doing here!” Cloud gasped.

The tall silver haired man smirked “I saw the three of you on my way to the corner store so I decided to follow. I must say I learned something new today” he drawled.

Sora blushed looking to the floor “did you hear everything?” he squeaked

“Every last word” Sephiroth replied.

“Are you going to tell Riku?” Sora asked worriedly

Sephiroth chuckled waving a delicate hand “oh no , I think I would like to see you bring down my beloved younger brother , his head has gotten a bit swelled up from his fame and it’s time someone pop is ego”

“Whoo even the manager is in this!” cloud cheered.

“I will be discreet though” came the clipped reply.

Sore sighed “….i got a lot of shit ahead of me….but it’s going to be worth it. If not for me, but Atem as well…” Sora paused looking around “Where is Atem?”

“He’s right here” Came Antoinette’s sweet voice as she came out of the kitchen with Atem who was sucking on a cookie. She handed Atem to Sora and looked up to Sephiroth “And who might you be?”

“This is my old manager Sephiroth” Sora introduced. Sephiroth shook the elderly women’s hand and gave a charming smile.

“I see, well Sora dear do you feel better?” she asked looking him over , she smiled at his ruffled state “it’s nice to see you had some sense knocked into you”

“Heh, heh ya” Sora laughed “Thank you so much for having me and my guest over Antoinette…and thank you for the advice” he said hugging the frail women.

She laughed merrily “oh it was my pleasure, and be sure to stop by again; it was a great pleasure having you over” she said.

“We will bye” Sora said opening the door. The others said their good byes before following Sora out. The group of five, headed down the street back to the apartment complex still chatting lightly.

“So he must be my little nephew” Sephiroth said glancing at Atem who was staring at him intensely.

“Heh yup, Atemu this is your uncle Sephiroth, and Sephiroth this is your nephew Atemu” Sora said holding out the baby and placing him in Sephiroth’s arms.

The silver haired man looked at the tiny body nestled in his arms carefully while the baby looked up at him. The two stared at each other for a while as they walked taking each other in; Atem took a piece of Seph’s hair into his hand and tugged. “Ehwaff” Atem mumbled.

“What did he say?” Sephiroth asked tilting his head.

Sora giggled “I think he said your name”

“Awww how cute, can I call you that Seph? Ehwaff!” cloud chortled.

“If you value your life you won’t” Sephiroth snapped. Atem giggled and tugged at his hair again. “I suppose he can call me that…but no one else”

“Ehwaff!” Atem giggled.

“I think he likes you” Sora said laughing.

“So do I” Sephiroth with a tiny smile.

They continued the rest of their walk talking casually, Atem refused to be removed from Sephiroth’s arms even when Sora tried to get him.
“I don’t see how Riku can’t tell that Atem is related to you” Seph said as he tossed Atem up into the air and catching him gently. Atem squealed with delight, his little legs kicking and squirming. “His eyes are the same as yours, he has the same smile, same nose, and…well the face shape”

“Riku has been known to be dense, but this is really hard to believe” cloud muttered

Sora eyed Seph he tossed Atem “Well my cousin said that I look a bit different …so maybe that’s why…”

“You don’t look that different Sora, a little skinnier at the most” Seph said as he pried his hair from Atem’s grip.

“Ya and that don’t explain why Riku doesn’t notice that you and Atem look a lot alike” Cloud quipped up.

“He’s in denial” Leon said “He knows he fucked up when he broke up with Sora”

“What?” every one asked

Leon rolled his eyes “I’ll explain once we get back to the apartment complex.”

Everyone shrugged and continued the rest of the way in relative silence. Once they reached the complex they headed up to Leon and Clouds place. After everyone was settled down in a chair they turned to Leon.

“What I’m trying to say is that when he broke up with Sora he didn’t think that Sora had felt so strongly for him. When he saw Sora so depressed he started to get annoyed with him because he felt that Sora shouldn’t be feeling like that. If you haven’t noticed all the girls and guys that Riku has ever dated since the break up look like Sora in some shape or form, he doesn’t realize that he’s still attracted to Sora. When ever he looks at the real Sora he automatically thinks that it’s just some look alike and not the real thing.
