Chapter 6

Jaydn was returning to Spence Manor, yelling into the house as she kicks her shoes off at the front door. Sliding across the floor in her socks and into the living room, before walking into the dining room spotting the boque of flowers. Two of them together, one being roses, babies breath and dasies. The second being a mixture of red tulips and violet-blue iris's; her favorite flowers.

"Wesker." Spence's voice from behind her, holding a bowl of cereal in one hand raising the spoon full of fruit loops to his mouth.

"Fruit loops for dinner?"

Spence nods, "Alice isn't here. She wanted to go look around in the city for a while and get away from the house." Taking another bite. "And incase you didn't know, I can't cook." Tilting the bowl back drinking the milk, the spoon making a little cling in the now empty bowl. "You talking to him yet?"

"Not exactly." Jaydn answers sticking her nose in a rose. "His position in the company just complecates things so much." She sighs, "I'm just not sure how well I know-if i could trust him again." Spence watching her shake her head, "I'll be in my-" She stops hearing her cellphone ring. "Yes Alice?" Getting Spence's attention. "Yeah...sort of...sure, give me about an hour...okay, bye."

"You going to meet her?"

"Yep." Jaydn answers, "Something about one of my stores having a sale." She shrugs, "I need a new pair of converse anyway, even if I don't want to throw my raddy ones away."

Spence smirks, "Have fun."

"I will." Jaydn calls back as she slides across the floor again nearly knocking into the front door, and slips on her ever raggidy converse that look ready to fall apart but being as broken in as they are, being so comfy she dosn't want to throw them away.

Reaching the mall she spotted Alice's red sports car. It wasn't hard to miss since it was pretty much the only one in the city. If she couldn't tell by the red shine she could always tell by the liscence plate that says ITSALICE. Jaydn always found it comical. Standing at the east enterance, having called her right after parking she just had to give Alice a few depending on where she was in the mall.
A hand on her shoulder Jaydn jumped a second thinking it was one of the security guards her, Sofi and Nina had toyed with and had come to tell her to get lost when it was Alice. With her is another straight haired woman, golden blond hair, fair skin with blue eyes and a sort of professional look to her while Alice and herself were more casual. Dress pants, a white shirt with her coat over her arm holding a bag. Alice being in faded jeans, her fashion boots (Jaydn always wondered how she could walk in four inch heels), and a orange speghettistrap tanktop only Alice (because of her red hair) could pull off.

"Jaydn, this is a friend of mine, Jaydn Keller, Lisa Addison."

The typical 'hi' and 'hello' followed by shaking hands.

"Gloria told me." Alice tells her, "More or less, I know about it." Noticing Jaydn's panicky look. "Don't worry, secrets safe, but about the company," She looks to Lisa, "Lisa is a reporter undercover trying to expose the company for what its doing." Alice linking arms with Jaydn and her other with Lisa.

"Something tells me thats not a very good idea."

"It's wrong, I know you agree."

"I do, but imagine what would happen to any of us if they caught on." She tells Lisa. "Should we be discussing this so publically?"

"No one is listening." Alice tells her, "To them we're just friends out together." A toothy smile disappearing as fast as it came. "But we're taking them down with or without your help."

"I better get back." Lisa tells Alice, "I only had a few hours out, I don't want to return late."

Alice nods, "Talk to you later." She tells Lisa who gives a wave as she turns leaving; Jaydn giving a little wave back. "How are you and blondie bear?"

Jaydn smirking noticing Alice using his nicname from her in public to hide who they're talking about, but also because she hadn't heard 'blondie bear' in a long while.

"There are two vases of flowers at home, and I sort of blew up at him the other day, but I havn't seen him since."

"Blew up at him?"

Jaydn nods, "About my mother, why I wasn't speaking to him and what not. I said to him to look at himself from my point of view on how bad this is making him look to me."

Alice smirks, "Pretty damn bad. What'd he do?"

"I left, he sort of just stood there. He caught me when I was leaving my refresher course for my new placement, no thanks to him, but atleast I know my supirior."

Alice gives a light smile, "I know him too. Shade right?" Jaydn gives her a nod. "He's my supirior also." A light smile and spots the payless outlet, giving Jaydn a smile pulling her into the store.

Jaydn and Rain falling down in the ring laughing too much to keep hitting eachother, JD and the other guys outside the ring laughing just as hard as them. Pulling their protective helmets off, and the mouth peices on the canvas of the ring, still laughing. Rain pushing Jaydn over and she was laughing too hard to care and she just smacks the mat and laughs harder.

"Okay, okay, stop!" Salinas yells, "I'm dying here!"

"I can't breath!" Mike yells.

Jaydn and Rain calming down enough to breath.

"Inhale-exhale Mike, you need air." Jaydn tells him.

"And I'm not giving you mouth to mouth." Rain adds making Jaydn laugh a little more.

"Alright, you stink, go take a shower." Shade orders.

"Yeah well you don't smell like roses yourself sir." Andy tells him in a joking manner as he jumps down from ring side.

Getting up and picking up her mouth guard that had become covered in saliva from her laughing so much making her eww at it as Rain does the same. Picking up her little foam-like helmet she caught Wesker out the corner of her eye. Standing and talking with Shade, she immediatly thought something bad was going to happen. Maybe even being moved again, she didn't know, but she did know it would suck if she was placed in another unit since she was just beginning to enjoy herself. Then passes it off as talk about the teams departure to the next city.

"Hey Jayd." Rain gets her attention, "Me, JD, and Mikey are goin' to a bar before we leave tomorrow, you should come."

"You know, get drunk, dance with Rain on the bar." JD smirks and nudges Rain only to have her punch him.

"Keep dreamin'." Rain tells him, "But really, you should. Might get him out of your head."

"Get who out of my head?"

Rain rolls her eyes, "Come on, I saw the deer in the headlights look when you noticed him." Turning her head slightly towards Wesker still talking to Shade. "And cause I squeezed it out of One that you and he had a thing."

JD raises a brow, "I confused. Jayd and the head boss man or Jayd and One?"

Rain rolls her head, "Mens room is that way." giving him a little push pointing down the hallway. "So you gonna come with or am I gonna have ta drag you there?" 

Jaydn sighs, "No getting out of this am I?"

"No."

Jaydn smirks, "Fine, but where you going?

"That Flamingo place. JD's idea to go since apparently Mikey got kicked out of the other place for fighting."

Jaydn smiles, "What time?" Stepping into her private shower and sliding her towel on the rack outside the door.

"Nine."

Leaving the building seperating from Rain and JD for her car she always parked furthest from the door to keep it from being hit. Keeping an eye out for Wesker, but Wesker isn't who she notices sitting on her car. Being about a head taller, and bigger in build, but looking exactly like her but with more masculine features. A stronger jaw, deeper eyes, a slightly broader shoulders, and less plump lips.

"Dare!" Jaydn grinning, "Get your big butt off my car before you dent it." She orders pulling him off by the arm.

"Gee Jay, nice to see you too."

Wesker watching her give the tall, black haired man a hug. Smiling and looking genuinly happy which he couldn't recall a time since before her mothers death. He didn't know who he was, but he looked familiar, but couldn't remember where he might had seen him. Standing and talking untill he reconizes Rain, stopping her car by them and leaning out the window. Rain meeting the young man, and then another moment of talking before Rain moves on. Jaydn and the man disappearing into her car and then driving off.

*You're upsetting me Jaydn. You don't want that. *

Darryll laughing as he closes the door of his sisters car and crosses the street with her for the Flamingo Bar. Rain and JD stop seeing them coming towards them and enter the bar together. Little did Jaydn know that Wesker had put a tail on her; some rookie looking to take a leap up the military ladder that would do a favor for Wesker and Wesker would put in a good word for him giving him a boost up that ladder. A young man fresh out of highschool though he looks older, and so he wouldn't get ID'd for beer though they're supposed to ID everyone no matter how old they look.
A wire taped to his chest, and the latest in technology for espionage resting on his shirt: the camera button. The Button itself isn't a real button, but a tiny camera built in diguise as a button; genius. So no only could Wesker hear her, he could see her when she spoke so he could tell weither or not she was lying. He too didn't know her lying face just like she didn't know his. He didn't trust the rookie, and adding the button he is practically pushing him up said ladder. He reconized JD and Rain, but still have yet to ID the other male with her she seemed so happy to see.
Sitting at the bar a few seats away from her, seated perfectly letting Wesker watch her. Seated on the stool with her shoulders slumped slightly with her beer he realized to be Heinekin, then again being half german he wasn't surprised by her choice in beer. Sitting up and smiling at something Rain said, and gives the dark haired woman a playful slap on the arm.
Time ticked by, Wesker watching and watching but nothing was happening between them, Jaydn and the other man that would make him think anything more than friends. She had told him majority of her friends were men, save Nina and Sofi, and Alice ofcourse. Mostly sitting at the bar, he could tell they were talking but couldn't hear them over the noise of the bar. Beer after beer, time passing slowly for him but fast for her and the others in the Flamingo. JD and Rain laughing hard about something, and then her and Darryll stand picking up the few empty bottles from the bar.
Darryll with two and Jaydn with two in her hands, and a few feet between them. Counting on three and then tossing the bottles juggling them back and forth between eachother. Wesker let out a chuckle seeing as they're both buzzed, and Jaydn was beginning to laugh uncontrollably like Rain and JD. Jaydn accidentlly dropping one and then sheilding herself from the oncoming three bottles her brother was juggling back to her. Darryll leaning against the bar laughing and then Rain falls back off her seat knocking her and Jaydn to the ground in a fit of laughter.
Wesker watching his man following them out the door. Jaydn and Rain argueing about driving home. Rain not wanting to fuck up the car since its a rental, she didn't want to pay any damages, so they were going to take Jaydn's car home.

"Like hell you are." Jaydn pointing at Rain, "No one drives my baby but me," She hiccups, "And I'm too drunk to do so, and you're coming home with me s-s-s-so you don't get into a accident." She looks at JD, "Am I right?"

"Right." JD agrees, and it donns on him he didn't know what he was agreeing to, "Wait, what did I just agree to?"

Again laughing while Darryll was calling a cab. The four standing out on the street waiting for the cab to show. Rain and Jaydn with their arms around eachothers shoulders singing some song in Spanish making Wesker give a small smirk. He had never really seen her drunk before, quickly realizing she was a silly drunk. Her foot dropping over the curb landing her on her ass, and Rain right beside her.

"Holy shit! Where the hell did that curb come from?" 

JD and Darryll laughing as they pull them up and get them in the cab.

"ORGY!" JD yells

"Ewww!" Jaydn shreiks, "Dare's my brother you retard!" Jaydn screaching as she climbs in the back of the cab followed by Rain and then JD.

"Well, then can it be us three?"

"No!" Loud and clear from the two women making Wesker smirk again.

*Nothing to worry about then.*

The next few months went by quickly, and September was upon them once again, and once again Jaydn was in Raccoon City meeting with Alice. Thinking about how if they were still together, her and Wesker, it would've been their two-year aniversary. Unfortunatly they only made a year, but no doubt they were missing eachother some, only both of them were far too stubbron and hard-headed, and too full of pride to admit it.

"Jaydn?" Alice brings Jaydn out of her thoughts.

The little air bubbles appearing in Jaydn's orange soda stop and she looks at the redhead sitting across from her. Lisa seated next to her in The Great Wall Chinese resturant having lunch together, little did they know it would be the last time all three of them would be together.

"Did you hear me?" Alice asks her.

"I zoned out a little, repeat that?"

“Marcus was killed last week.” Lisa answers, “Wesker is in full ownership of the corporation. He’s having a meeting in France, he left this morning.”

“And I’m just now hearing about Marcus? Think Wesker did it?”

“Does it sound like something he’d do?” Lisa questions.

“Sounds like something he’d have done, but not something he’d do himself. It’d look like he was trying to elimate his partner and keep it all for himself.” Alice says.

“Exactly my thoughts.” Jaydn tells her swirling her noodles around her fork.
