Violet Queen

"Violet?"
"Yes Dr Abel."
"Did you finish what I asked you to do?"
"Not yet, Dr Abel. I have a large percentage of my systems working to complete your bidding, and cannot draw any more away from my current resources as they are necessary for the proper maintenance of this Hive."
"I need that information from your sister, Violet. I need it now. Every passing hour, every long week that drifts by after its destruction is another length added between us and finding out what was going on down there. Divert some of your energies away from expendable things like the sound systems and breeding facilities and put them into this directive."
"Those would not be enough to create a significant increase in the speed with which I can penetrate White Queen's systems as a whole," Violet replied, her image flickering for a moment as she placed her hands behind her back and looked up at the doctor. "My sister is putting up quite the fight and Dr Issacs equipped her well to do so; whatever he was doing he did not want to be found out, not even by one of the Queens. To achieve the speed and accuracy you are requesting of me, I would have to shut down more vital parts of the Hive, such as the lighting, security and ventilation systems, ultimately leading to chaos within this Hive if not the collapse. The employees within my Hive are sensitive enough as it is after the destruction of another Queen and would succumb to panic if they were left in the dark, unmonitored, without fresh air."
Abel sighed loudly and looked over at the hologram who was staring at him with sweet young eyes and her full mouth pulled back into a kind smile. He was tempted to do it, but he wouldn't, and she knew that.
"I am doing my very best, Dr Abel," Violet assured.
"I know," the doctor said quietly, before looking at his monitor once more and keying in the sequence to bring up the few records Violet had already managed to gleam from White Queen's cold, dead clutches. "And that psychic wave you detected earlier?"
"No signs of further activity," Violet said with a nod, "It seems to have been some sort of random incident but I will keep my sensors on it."
"Good girl."
