Crazy Sunshine

‘I wish I met her sooner, but I feel like I’ve known her forever…Just a few days and we have already made a bond that only one of us can break. Meaning, nobody else has the right to say a word, and even if they do, they won’t get far. This was my home, and she was my maker. I wouldn’t let anyone find us. I prayed the scouts would presume me dead and continue their hunt for this... Darnassian spy elsewhere.’

We awakened a few hours later, the early-afternoon sun shone brightly. Colorful reflections bounced off the fountain water and glittered on all the walls. We lay in bed, smiling at each other, my hand caressing her face, her arms around me.

“Good morning, my love.” I gazed lovingly at her, taking in her glow. She scooted closer to me and placed a small kiss on my lips.

“Good morning to you too, handsome.” She giggled and I blushed a little.

We both got out of bed, wandering about to find our clothes. She got dressed in a white shirt, a slightly formal one, but more pirate-y. And some cut-off leather shorts that showed off those perfect legs.

“Nooooo!” I whined out loud, “Adia!” Her cat had taken a liking to my pants, apparently; she had chewed them to shreds. Isra laughed hard.

“I think she likes you!”

“Well, I wish she didn’t!” I scoffed, gently patting the cat on her head.

“It looks like we need to go shopping for you anyway, Kurdt.”

“Oh?”

“Uh huh, and I know just the place.” She winked, and I sensed something was up.

“Isra… where exactly is this place?” I tilted my head to the side. She grinned.

“It‘s a village in horde territory.” She picked up a pair of pants and tossed them at me. “Wear those… Oh, and--” She took off the shirt she was wearing, exposing her lovely breasts to me for a split second before she tossed it in my face, “this.” She picked up a tighter, button-up linen shirt and put it on. She also put on some rather cute black slippers that I found unbefitting to her personality, but still intriguing. “Boots don’t look good with shorts,” she mumbled.

I had to admit that we both looked rather dashing in Isra’s random clothing, which I assume she pillaged. But, the pants were a tad tight…I’d noticed her ogling me.

“Let’s go, Kurdt!” She picked up a large backpack and slipped her weapons into their holsters.

We walked through the woods at a steady pace, admiring the scenery. Adia even trailed off to chase a rabbit. It was cute to watch her stalk it, but that quickly faded when she tore it to shreds and played with the carcass gleefully. ‘Poor bunny…’

As we walked I began to think about that morning, blushing at the memories. I felt her slender fingers enclose around my hand, giving it a squeeze. I smiled at her and swung our arms between us as we went.

“So…Isra.”

“Hm?” She played with my fingers idly.

“How do you know Thalassian?” She stopped walking for a moment and her eyebrows creased in thought. She then looked at me and her expression softened; some sort of inner battle with whether she should tell me or not.

“Let’s just say…” She smiled meekly into the distance, at a memory, perhaps, “My father was not Darnassian.”

“And your mother?” I pried a little, but I was simply curious. It didn’t seem like she minded, just more like she was lost in thought.

“A rebel, of sorts.”

“So that’s where you get it from!” We laughed. She stopped at a small stream, sitting on one of the rocks. “Well, where are your parents now?” Her eyes widened a bit, and then she looked at me with a sad expression.

“They have been gone for a long time; they were rather old when the Elves lost their immortality. I have lived alone since the age of 12, with Adia at my side. She was actually my father’s pet.”

“Wow, how old is she?” I watched the cat lap up water from the stream.

“57.” My mouth dropped open and she chuckled humbly with pride, “Yea, old kitty. But, she’s enchanted in some sort of way, to live almost three times as long. She’s the only one of her kind, and it took my father a year to tame her. She’s all that is left of my family, but really… the only family I ever knew was my parents and Adia. Actually…I can barely stand to think about it, especially losing Adia,” she changed the subject, “So, what about your parents?” I didn’t respond right away, I was too distracted by her sad face. I leaned forward and looked dead into her eyes, then placed my hand under her chin and drew her into a slow kiss. I pulled away and kissed her shoulder. Her eyes glistened with oncoming tears, and then Adia came up beside her and licked her hand. A reassurance. My huntress gave her a weak smile and hugged her furry neck, then kissed the cat on the nose. I rubbed Isra’s back gently as we stood up to continue on our way. She asked me again, “So, what about your parents?”

“My mother died a few years ago, she was a high rank under the Blood Elf King’s Army, a paladin. My father also died in battle. They say he was a great fighter, and an excellent spy. It’s what inspired me to be a rogue.”

“A spy, huh? Is that why your eyes are brown?” She sure was very perceptive. I froze for a second, and then decided it was okay if she knew. Most spies are cross-bred from working for the opposite faction…and meeting someone. It’s part of the reason why I was kept undercover.

“Yes…But it’s not 100% what you think.” She raised an eyebrow, and I continued, “My father was only half. It was my grandfather that was full-blood human, but he was a spy for our side. The King liked my knowledge of Common so, as a rogue, I’m trained to listen in and translate.”

“Fascinating…we both come from mixed bloodlines. Rebel spirits.” She had just practically ignored my subtle confession about being sent to find and kill her. You know, spy stuff.

“So, your father was a Blood Elf? Like me?”

“Oh, yes…And from what I remember, a very, very handsome one.” She laughed, “But I don’t remember him being as striking as you are.” I blushed bright red, once again taken aback by her compliments. “Be grateful for that human blood…it’s made you beyond exotic.”

“Not nearly as exotic as you are. I have never seen a Night or Blood Elf as gorgeous as you. You got the best of both worlds… You are so, so beautiful. Isra, I could stare at you forever.” She smiled meekly, “You do look more Darnassian, though. I imagine that your mother was very prominent in her Kal‘Dorein features?” She nodded, wanting to get the subject off her.

“Yes… She was pure blood, royal blood in fact; the most beautiful in our race at one time. Strong, ancient features. She was like a statue to me… I was more of a daddy’s girl.”

“Royal?!” I exclaimed, mouth open in shock.

“The High Priestess. She was to be kidnapped by my father and taken back to Silvermoon for ransom. But…they fell in love, and had a bastard child. My mother was disowned by the Cenarion Council and my father simply never returned to his home. They lived alone with me… in these very woods. I remember that my father was the only thing…that could make my mother smile and laugh. She was beautiful when she did. And she loved him so much, so much that she gave up everything: all her hard years as Priestess, her rank, her royal home. Just as… you’ve given up similar things for me.”

“What?” I was worried now, desperate to hide this from her… But I guess she did know after all.

“I saw your insignia, you know. You were head of the Thalassian scouts and spies, which means your mother‘s rank was higher than you let on, also that means you’re a Corporal. Why were you all the way out here?”

“I…”

“It’s okay.”

“I was, yes, and… The reason I was out here was to track a Darnassian spy, which, unfortunately…Is you.” She grinned wickedly. I then put my arm around her waist, and kissed her neck. “But I don‘t think I‘ll be kidnapping you anytime soon.” I winked and she giggled; a keen spark in her eye.

She pinned me to a nearby tree, her body pressed against mine all of the sudden. I gasped and she halted it with her lips, kissing me roughly. I let out a moan into her mouth as our tongues dueled. She whispered to me, “You’re addictive…I just can’t stay away from you, and I can‘t stop thinking about you, even when you‘re right here with me.” I melted against the tree. She slowly drew her tongue up the edge of my ear, and I shivered in delight.

“I am so happy that you feel that way…” My voice breaking due to the attention my sensitive ear was getting, “I don’t think…that I could ever--Ahhn--live without you.” I heard a growl and felt something big and furry rub up against my leg. Isra stopped and looked down.

“What is it, Adia?” The cat grumbled in its throat then started walking away and rolled over. Sort of like, begging, in a way. “Oh…” She pulled away from me, holding my hand once again. “Adia wants to go.” I laughed and went over to scrub the cat’s belly.

“Cat, I think we have some things to straighten out!” She growled and bared her teeth at me. “I’m kidding, haha, let’s go.” Yeesh.
