Description: Sora and Roxas are twins. When they were eight, their mother had a third child and could no longer afford to support all three of her children. Or, was that just what she told Sora. She gave Roxas up for adoption, and kept Sora and the new baby. When Sora turned fourteen he got into a serious accident and lost alot of his memory, including the part about having a twin. Meanwhile, Roxas was adopted at twelve. Now, because of his adoptive fathers job, Roxas has moved to the Destiny Islands and is in the same school as Sora.

Author's Note: PLEASE READ THIS. I got the idea for this story from a Dance Dance Revolution song called Xepher. I plan to have three parts, and each part will have six chapters, the first of which will always be X. This is chapter six of part one. In this chapter, Sora and Roxas spend time getting to know each other once again, while also letting their closest friends know of the situation. But, when Sora suggests telling their parents, what will Roxas say?

When Sora came to, he found himself staring up at a set of lights. Lucky for him, they were off or he would have been blinded. He blinked a few times, letting himself adjust to being awake before he finally allowed himself to sit up. He made a noise and then glanced to his right, finding an empty bed, and at the same time realizing that he was in the nurses office. And then he looked to his left and was shocked to find the blonde new kid laying in that bed. He stared until a voice cleared it's throat, drawing Sora's attention to the figure.

"So, you're finally awake? If you'd like to explain why you suddenly passed out, I'd be thrilled to know."

The brunette gulped, glancing towards the male, making a faint noise of confusion.

"I really don't know why I passed out, sir...It wasn't really something that I could help, y'know? What about him? Is he gonna be okay?"

The teacher shrugged, glancing at the other boy idly, flicking a booger from his fingers, almost as if he was thinking distasteful thoughts about the blonde.

"Eh, who knows. As far as I'm concerned, I blame him for your collapse. Until he showed up, and until he started walking towards you, you've always been fine. Well, since you're up, you can go back to class now. It's already fourth period, so you'll be having lunch soon. Until then I expect you to pay attention to your lesson."

Sora frowned, glancing to the blonde before making a queasy sounding noise. He quickly placed his hand over his mouth, the other around his stomach.

"I think...I'm gonna hurl...!!"

Jumping up, the boy ran towards the bathroom, slamming the door shut. It was silent for a few moments before he started making all the tell-tale signs that he was puking. The teacher grimmiced and shook his head.

"On second thought, I'll call your mother and have her come and get you."

Sora's head popped out of the bathroom, shaking slightly.

"No, I'll be fine. I'd just like to rest here for a little while longer. Right after lunch is over I promise I'll go back to class. Is that okay, sir?"

For a few minutes the teacher was silent and then he sighed, giving in. He waved his hand as he walked out of the office.

"Whatever. Just make sure you DO go back to class after lunch. If I find out that you didn't I'll deduct points off your final grade."

"Yes sir."

When the teacher was finally gone, Sora wandered out and sat on his bed once more. He looked at the boy lying on the other bed, his face twisted in confusion before it came back to him. Trembling slightly, he lifted his hand, moving to touch the blonde, but quickly snatched it away as the blonde opened his sapphire eyes.

"Nn...?"

"Hello. How are you feeling?"

Roxas blinked, rolling his head to look at the brunette, shock written on his features.

"You're still here?"

"Why wouldn't I be? I had to make sure that you were feeling okay, Roxas."

There was silence in the room, neither boy knowing what to say. Then the silence was finally broken as the two talked in unison.

"Are you my---"

"Are you my---"

The both stopped, then tried again.

"Why are you---"

"Why are you---"

"Roxas, you first."

"Sora, you first."

The two blinked at each other and then started laughing, however quiet it was. Roxas could remember Sora's laugh and he knew that even now it hadn't changed in the slightest. To Sora it was like a memory that had suddenly been opened for him. Finally, when the laughing calmed, Sora smiled and took hold of the blonde's hand.

"You are...You're my twin, aren't you? The one that mommy took away."

Roxas squeezed Sora's hand, nodding his head slowly.

"I am. Which means you're the little brother that I've longed to see for so long."

The blonde sat up and tugged Sora to himself, pressing his head into the others neck, holding him tightly. Flushing slightly, Sora wrapped his arms around the elder, rubbing soothing circles around the others back, cooing softly to him.

"We're together again..."

"And nothing will take us apart..."

The twins were waiting outside of the school. They'd both agreed to tell their friends (and in Roxas' case, family) the truth, rather then try and hide it from them. Each had given their group a note, and that note read:

"Me and Roxas (or Sora) have something really important to tell you guys, so call the high schoolers and college guys and tell them to meet us at Capo's."

Thus, when all of their friends came pouring out of the building, they began the walk towards Capo's, introducing themselves as they went.

"Roxas, you first, introduce us to your family."

The blonde nodded his head.

"Well, the cubby boy talking to the orange wonder is Pence. He's my age, and when we get to Capo's then I'll introduce you to my elder brother, Hayner."

"Hey, who're you callin' chubby, Roxas? I'm pleasantly plump."

The "orange wonder" also known as Olette smiled brightly.

"Orange wonder? I like that nickname, Roxas."

"You would."

Roxas was grinning as he said it, then he looked at Sora and gestured to what he could only define as Sora's "posse".

"Who're all of them?"

Sora's cheeks took on a bright shade of pink.

"Well, the girl who's chattering her ass off is none other then the Ninth-Grade Queen, Selphie Tilmit. She's dating Wakka, a senior in high school."

"We are NOT dating, Sora!"

"Sure you aren't. If that was true you guys wouldn't be sneaking off to kiss every chance you got."

Selphie's cheeks puffed up and she turned to face away from the blonde that had spoken, while Sora introduced him.

"That is Tidus. He should be in tenth-grade like us, but he ended up flucking and got held back. And the last one is in our english class. He's Zexion. I believe he's dating Demyx. Right?"

The green-haired boy glanced up from his book, an eyebrow raised before he nodded once, losing himself in the book once more.

"He's not very talkative unless he's with Demyx. And even then, Demyx babbles more then him."

Roxas nodded his head. The group chatted as they continued the walk, Sora pointing out things here and there while Selphie pulled on Tidus' hair for making a rude suggestion about her and Wakka. Finally, Capo's was insight---as well as the large group of teenagers in front of it.

"Wow, Sora, you sure are popular."

"Nah. Most of those people are just dating someone in that group. They ALWAYS hang out together."

A silver-haired boy ran over, draping his arm around Sora's shoulders.

"About time, kiddo. And quite the gaggle you've gotten together. What's the occasion?"

Sora rolled his eyes and knocked the elder boys arm off.

"You'll find out soon enough, Riku."

The elder teens had already pulled together three tables, but seeing the rest added another one, as well as grabbing at least six more chairs. Soon, they were all seated and the introductions continued.

"Well, Roxas goes first."

"Er....okay. I've already introduced them to these guys, but this is my brother Pence and our friend Olette. And the other boy over there sucking skull boys face off is my elder brother Hayner."

"Yeah, yeah. Okay, here's how we do introductions."

A tall red-head stood up and pointed to each person as he said their names.

"Riku, Demyx, Rikku, Paine, Yuffie, Wakka, Yuna, Marluxia...the Queer, and Seifer. And I'm Axel. Got it memorized?"

Roxas blinked as Sora facepalmed, shaking his head.

"Axel, I think that was just a little too blunt for Roxas."

Axel mearly shrugged, flicking his hand in a gesture to mean "Whatever" before he sat back down.

Sighing, Sora stood tugging Roxas up with him. They glanced at the large group and then finally, Sora broke the silence.

"Roxas is my twin brother."

Hayner paled and then he glanced between the two boys. He'd have to talk to Sora and Roxas at some point to clear any misunderstandings of previous....activities.

The silver-haired boy, Riku, spoke again.

"I didn't know you had a twin."

At this, Sora looked lost and smiled at Roxas, as if begging for help to explain the situation. The blonde took pity on his younger brother.

"When we were eight years old, our mother gave birth to a baby. When we went to the hospital, her boyfriend took me away, and I was left in a church. I read the newspaper alot, and I heard about the accident, but I wasn't sure that it was Sora until Hayner had come home. And even then I had my doubts...but today, I was proven to be right. Me and Sora havn't been together for eight years. And he's only just remembered my after that accident."

The tables were silent as the group looked at each other. Sora shifted uncomforably and just like old times, Roxas took hold of his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. The two shared a look and sat down, Sora resting his head on Roxas' shoulder lightly.

"I see...In that case, Roxas, welcome to our happy family. By the way, captian red-head didn't mention this, but I'm his brother."

Riku gestured towards Axel with a bored expression.

Blinking, the blonde then smiled and nodded.

"Glad to be accepted. We should be getting home though...mom and da----"

"Who?"

Sora was looking at Roxas rather confused, and Roxas blushed before he shifted a bit.

"Aerith and Squall. They're Hayner and Pence's parents. They adopted me awhile ago."

Sora smiled brightly, hugging the blonde.

"I'm so glad that you were able to find a family. But...don't you wanna come and see mother with me?"

Roxas tensed, and the air at the table suddenly turned stale. One by one, Sora's group of friends excused themselves til only Riku, Axel, Hayner, Pence, himself and Roxas were left. He waited, silent for Roxas answer.

"I'm sure that mother probably misses you, you know? And don't you want to see he---"

"No. I really don't want to see her. I'm happy with my new family, and you can't tell mother that you've met me." //I don't want you taken from me again...//

"But Roxas!"

"Sorry, Sora..."

The remaining friends blinked to each other, confused and then Hayner spoke.

"Sora, why don't you sleep over our place tonight? I need to talk to the both of you anyway, and I'm sure that mom and dad would wanna meet you."

Roxas was surprised by Hayner's invitation, and then a greatful look spread over his face as he smiled to his brother, a silent "thank you" being given to the older boy.

"I'd have to call and ask..."

Riku offered his cellphone up two seconds later, shrugging.

"Guess this means no date tonight~!"

"RIKU!"

The silver-haired one just grinned, and they fell silent as Sora called his mother.

"Mom, is it alright if I sleep over at a friends tonight?.....Selphie's....Er....something like that....Yes....NO MOTHER!....I have plenty...Yes, yes....YES. Fine...okay bye."

By the time Sora hung up the phone his cheeks were a bright pink and he was obviously embarssed by something that his mother had said. He glanced and then scrolled through Riku's phone, knowing that Selphie was on speed dial. He called her and quickly told her of the situation and she readily agreed to back him up lest his mother call and check up on him.

Once Sora was done, Riku snatched his phone back and stood, grabbing his elder brother by the hair, tugging him away.

"See you in school tomorrow guys!"

"LET MY HAIR GO!"

Once the two siblings were out of sight, the remaining four stood. It wasn't odd for Sora and Roxas to hold hands. They were twins after all, and Hayner had to admit that he could definately see the resmblance. He chatted quietly with Pence as the twins hung back, speaking to each in soft whispers. By the time they were at their house, the twins were fully comfortable with one another again. Hayner opened the door and let the others in before he followed.

"Mom! Dad! Something big has happened!"

It only took a few moments before Aerith was in the room, a worried expression on her features as she looked at her son's...and a new boy. She was about to speak, but Squall walked in and did before her.

"Who's that?"

Roxas stepped forward, pulling Sora forward.

"Mom, dad...remember when I mentioned to you that I had a twin....?"

His parents glanced at each other then back at him and nodded.

"Well, I'd like you to meet Sora Yamato. He's my twin brother."

By the time Roxas had told his parents who Sora was, Pence and Hayner had disappeared and Sora had hidden behind the blonde, slightly afraid.

Aerith however would have none of that. She gently pulled Sora from behind her son and wrapped her arms around him.

"It's so wonderful to meet you, Sora! You really do look just like our Roxas. Although you lay your make-up on rather thickly."

She smiled warmly to him and Sora couldn't help but to wrap his arms around her, holding the female close as he too smiled.

"I'm pleased to meet you, as well. I'm glad that Roxas was able to find a loving family."

Squall gruntted and patted the brunette before glancing at Roxas.

"...he's staying isn't he?"

"Er...only for the night."

"....."

"Dad?"

"....."

"Oh, Squall! Please! He's just gonna spend the night with his brother. They've been apart for a long time. Honestly."

"Whatever."

Sora flushed brightly, inching towards the door, looking down embarassedly.

"I..it's....if it's too much trouble..."

"Nonesence. Squall is just showing you he cares. Don't worry about him. Come on, you two must be hungry after your day. Squall, go finish your work if you're going to pout."

The older brunette grunted and walked back towards his work room, smiling once he was sure none of the others could see it.

That night, Roxas and Sora were getting ready for bed, just like old times. Roxas had a brush in his hands, moving it slowly and carefully through the youngers locks as Sora doodled on his homework. A knock on the door startled him, but Roxas calmly said "Come in" before resuming his task.

Hayner walked in, closing the door behind him. He looked at the two and then sighed heavily.

"Damn. I really did good this time."

Roxas frowned, putting the brush down, glancing to the elder.

"In what sense? Now that you know me and Sora are related, I think I know why you...did what you did with him."

Sora watched the two siblings, chewing on his lower lip, nearly biting through it as he felt the tension in the room rise.

"You said you loved me, and then you were with Seifer. But when you went away to Destiny Islands, you made Sora your lover. So tell me, is it really because Seifer was ignoring you?"

Hayner gave a warning growl and tried to stare the younger down.

"I loved you, and I loved Sora. It had nothing to do with Seifer. Seifer isn't even my boyfriend. He's a good fuck once in awhile. Dammit, Roxas, how was -I- supposed to know that Sora was your twin?"

"You knew him before the accident! You were even forbidden to speak about me!"

"There are more then one Roxas you know!?"

The two continued to bicker, and Sora watched, confussion, hurt, and then finally pain slipping over his face as he hiccuped, sobbing and not even realizing it til Hayner looked at him and gasped.

"Sora! What's wrong?"

The brunette was unable to speak, he just burried his hands in his face, crying into them as he trembled. Roxas wrapped his arms around the brunette and tugged him close, running fingers lightly through the brunettes hair, glaring at Hayner.

"I think you need to leave the room."

Hayner opened his mouth to protest, but the death-glare that Roxas gave him was enough to make him flee the room. When Roxas was sure the older blonde was gone, he tilted Sora's chin up, looking into the watery sapphire eyes that mirrored his own. Gentle fingers tangled into the brunette's locks, his breathing becoming a bit quicker.

"Sora....I've missed you....so much...."

Timid fingers reached up to caress the elders cheek, the tears slipping from his eyes, though they seemed to be stoppping. Between them it was silent, the only sound was their breathing. It was Sora that spurred Roxas in the next moment as the brunette's gentle fingers traced from his cheek to his jaw and then along his throat. Before he could stop himself his lips were pressed to his twins.

Sora didn't pull away. Instead, his arms moved to wrap tightly around the blonde, pulling him closer, willingly pressing into the elder ones lips, his eyes fluttering closed. They remained that way until they could no longer breathe, and even then, gentle kisses were dropped on each others faces as they became reaquainted with their twin.

"Roxas...don't ever go away again..."

"I won't. I swear to you. From now on, I'll protect you, my precious light..."

Author's Note: IMPORTANT!!!! I realized when I was re-reading this, that alot of the times are screwed up. As I'm too lazy to actually go and re-fix them at this point, here's an outline of the REAL timeline:

Sora and Roxas: Age 8, Roxas is taken away.

Sora: Age 10-12, learned of suicide and spent his days cutting himself. First signs that he was insane as he saw Roxas when he looked in the mirror.

Sora: Age 13, admitted into the psychiatric ward.

Sora: Age 14, moved to Destiny Islands where he met Kai (Hayner). Got into his accident and forgot about Roxas finally. Broke up with Kai when he went back home and was with Riku.

Sora: Age 15, Experienced his first relapse and forgot that he was dating Riku. Remained single from that point on and became a model student.

Sora: Age 16, Experienced his 2nd relapse and was reunited with Roxas in 10th grade.

Roxas: Age 8-12, Taken away and left in the orphanage.

Roxas: Age 12, Adopted by Squall and Aerith Leonhart. Spent his first christmas with his new family, as well as his new parents anniversary.

Roxas: Age 13, Fell in love with Hayner and lost his virginity on his birthday.

Roxas: Age 14, Caugbt Hayner with Seifer and Hayner was sent to Destiny Islands.

Roxas: Age 15, Over Hayner, and Hayner comes home. Squall tells them of his re-assignment and they move to Destiny Islands.

Roxas: Age 16, Reunited with Sora.

Fallen To The Slashy Side: Actually, after I decided the whole Hayner is Kai thing, I knew right away that Hayner saw Roxas in Sora. Unfortunately, everytime I tried to write something to elaborate that it came out really bad and so I gave up. But yes, Hayner was with Sora because he was remined of Roxas. That's why when Sora left him for Riku he wasn't too sad. After all, he had the real Roxas.

Kitara "Katarix" Strife: Hee-hee. I miss school....Seriously...I do.

Kitara "Katarix: Strife: The deal with Hayner not dating Seifer when he was on Destiny Island is that after being caught, Seifer distanced himself, leaving Hayner alone. And Kairi is the sister because I hate Kairi (kinda) and decided that she STILL had to be in the story somehow. OH! And I have plans for Cloud. Trust me, I have this whole thing planned to the T! I think most people will be surprised by Cloud's role in the story.

Final Angelic Requirum: The best? -flushes- You're embarassing me, seriously! This story blows compared to others. -Secretly thrilled- Sadly, my lack of humor is not from lack of trying. I just can't think of anything funny. xD
