Deku Scrubs Can't Win
The imp looked on with wonder as the poor girl screamed bloody murder. he giggled as she started yelling in a squeaky voice and flailing her arms about. "Well! whaddaya know, it worked!" he beamed. As she continue to freak out, he scowled. "Great! now we have to go all the way back to clock town and see the Great Fairy to remove it." then he smirked again. "Or we could just ask your dad how he got it off... Ester?"
she was still screaming.
"ESTEEEER!!!" he shouted. "look, we still have to get that mask to the Deku palace, so man up and... or should that be woman up?" he shook his head. "Oh nevermind! your dad, or the Great Fairy? take your pick. and before you ask, I met Link some time ago. the details are extremely fuzzy, but maybe if we can find more of those masks I'll get my memory back! So whaddaya say? partners?"

Hearing him shout made her suddenly shut up. She stared up with huge eyes, then they narrowed. "You put this thing on me in the first place! We CANNOT go to my father about this! He'll kill me! I went back on my word and holy crap this huuuurts!" She held her face, letting out another moan. "Ugh.... why did I have to gain my dad's sense of heroism? I wouldn't be IN this situation!" she mumbled. She held her face in her tiny wooden hands.
Her long hair shook as she shook her head. "Man, why do I have to.... uuuuuugh! Fine! Alright, I'll help you! Just get this stupid mask back off me!"

"Alright!" the Imp said. "Now all we have to do is get to the great fairy's fountain without anyone seeing us and... hey! what is wrong with seeing your dad anyway? I mean, If I remember him knowing me, then I could explain the whole thing and we could ask him how to remove it! Simple as that! Or is it something else???"
The Imp circled Ester and brought his right hand up to his chin in a thoughtful manner. "Is there something going on between you and your dad? He did lie to that Kafei fellow about the Great Bay. What if he has a Zora mask? this bears investigating!" The Imp was excited now. So much so that he was literally dragging Ester along by her tiny wooden hand. "Please let me at least ask your dad! Please please please pleeeeeaaase?"
Anoter Deku Baba suddenly attacked them, but this time they didn't have a sword. "Maybe we should run..." the Imp said as they dodged the teeth of the carnivorous plant.

"Oohhh nononono NO! We aren't going back to my dad! He can't see me like this! I'd look like a lying idiot tree thing! He'd never be able to trust me again!" She tried to yank her little hand out of his, but he was stronger than she was in this state. "There isn't anything going on between my dad and I! I just don't want him to think I can't be trusted! And what does a mask of a Zora have to do with this?" It didn't quite get through to her that his mask might be just like the one she currently had on.
The sound of another plant beast made her jump. She reached down to her side for her sword, but there wasn't one to be found. "Aww Deku nuts!" she cursed. Quickly she was on her feet and ran back to Clocktown. Ester let out a sigh, "I guess, since I have no idea where the Great Fairy is, we HAVE to go see my dad.... man he isn't going to like this..."
