Please rate and review, I'd be grateful! :)
Zeyhan: Blood Elf Paladin
Crikton: Human Warrior ------------ Crikton looked puzzled at his friend’s actions; crying, weeping and backing away was not something he had expected, not at all.
‘’What’s wrong with you, Zeyhan?’’ he wondered, lighting up a candle, though the sun was probably going to rise any moment soon.
Zeyhan gasped for air once again before curling up on his spot, not wanting to tell. His shell-like position provided somehow what he thought as a barrier to the world; a wall that will let him feel harm no more.
‘’What is it? What’s bothering you?’’ Crikton asked once again, concerned about his friend. ‘’You told me everything was fine, but things are not as fine as you make them seem to be, are they not?’’
‘’Nothing’s wrong… with me’’ Zeyhan said, his words cold as ice, trying to deny in his head what had happened almost two years ago.
Trying not to put on more pressure over his friend, Crikton sat away from him and spoke serenely.
‘’You were never a good liar, Zeyhan… I see through your tears…’’
‘’You will never know what happened to me when you left! You will never find out! You can’t see through me!’’ Zeyhan shouted at him, almost in rage. He was trembling, and his fists so tightly closed that his nails left bloody crescents on his own palms. Crikton’s look was sad, he was worried about his friend and the events that had turned the little frail elf so disturbed since then.
‘’You know I never intended to leave, you understand that, don’t you? And you also understand that I always thought about you, don’t you? Every single day, what was up with your life, what might you have been doing, everything…Do you?’’ He calmly said, his words sincere and pure.
Zeyhan nodded, half listening to what Crikton was saying, and half crying silently in a corner of the bed.
‘’Good.’’ Crikton answered, and rose up from where he was sitting, slowly approaching the elf. ‘’Now… you can tell me, Paladin, what is wrong with you?’’ His voice was now serious, if Zeyhan was not thinking on cooperating, he would have to use pressure to hurry him up and set him free of whatever it is that was killing him inside.
Noticing the warrior getting nearer and nearer, the elf cried out: ‘’Back Off!!! Don’t!! Don’t come any closer than that!!’’
Crikton didn’t stop, not until the elf rose from the bed and threw himself at the human, attempting to punch his face. Crikton’s strong hands caught the thin frail arms of the elf and held him in midst air for some seconds before he placed him down and back on the bed. He didn’t let go off the elf, and just pushed him so that they were both lying on the bed, the Paladin below, the Warrior on top of him.
‘’Nooooo!!’’ Zeyhan yelled, crying out loud. ‘’Get off of me! Don’t do this! Don’t hurt me more than I already am!’’ He wiggled and twisted under the warrior’s weight, and Crikton suddenly jumped off of him, letting him go, and suddenly getting a hint of what had happened.
‘’Hurt you?’’ he wondered, surprised and horrified. He backed away to give his friend some space.
‘’You want to know, don’t you? So badly, what do you want, to see me suffer and cry as the last bits of my spirit crumble down and I just fade away into nothingness?’’ His words were powerful, he didn’t mean to accuse Crikton like that, but he was finally letting all of his anger away, and Crikton knew that. ‘’Fine, I’ll tell you if that’s what you want. You will then leave me alone, will you not?’’ He spat.
The human didn’t answer; he knew he was not going to leave Zeyhan alone, he knew he would stay by his side no matter what.
‘’Almost two years ago…’’ He began ‘’Just some months after you had gone away, my father got ill. I had to stay at home taking good care of him, for my mom was the one working and couldn’t quit her position or else we wouldn’t have had money to pay for his medicine. ’’ He paused, breathing in and out a few times before going on with his story. ‘’After he got better, I went out to Ashenvale to finish some tasks that I was given. I was minding my own damn business when out of nothing…’’ he stopped, unable to go on.
‘’Out of nothing….?’’ Crikton asked impatiently, wanting to know every single thing that happened.
‘’Out of nothing came… three men…’’He sobbed, ashamed of what he had to tell to his dearest friend. He had told nobody about the incident, and he had hoped that the moment in which he had to open up to someone never arrived, but it was there… it seemed torturous, but in fact it was something rather positive; he would be finally free; his secret would be out and he would have his best and only friend to support him… So he clung hardly on that thought and finally stuttered;
‘’I was alone, ready to head back to my c-camp… and then three m-men… they took advantage of me being alone there in the forest… and… they…’’ he choked, but held the sudden urge to puke and swallowed hard, nervous and sweating, crying and gasping for air. He looked into the warrior’s eyes, looking for shelter in those gentle blue eyes. ‘’They- raped me, Crikton…’’ he whispered.
Crikton gasped, completely shocked by his friend’s story. He couldn’t believe what he had heard.
‘’They raped you? The three of them?’’
‘’No… just two, the third j-just stood and watched. ’’ Zeyhan suddenly rushed upwards and forward on the bed, clinging himself from the wooden end and instantly throwing up on the floor out of nervousness; the memory was still fresh on him… the human standing, just watching as his ass was ripped off by a Death Knight and his mouth was violated by another Elf. His stomach compressed itself and he bent his body like a little ball, hugging his knees. He coughed and clung again from the wooden end, but it was just a reflex; he had nothing in him to throw up anymore.
Crikton approached him and softly brushed the hairs out of Zeyhan’s pale face. Green eyes stared at him as he tied the Elf’s fair, soft hair back into a tail. He brushed his fingers through Zeyhan’s cheeks, and then ran his hand up and down his back in a reassuring gesture. ‘’If I ever find those men…’’ he said, his voice soaked in such an anger the Paladin had never heard before in his friend. It was frightening. ‘’They’ll regret every second of their miserable lives.’’
He softly pushed Zeyhan against his chest and hugged him tenderly.
‘’Don’t worry, no one but me will know about this, Zeyhan.’’ He said into the Blood Elf’s long, thin, elegant ear. There was a silence in which Zeyhan’s eyes closed lightly, assuming everything and finally feeling protected and supported from his haunting nightmares.
‘’T-thank you…’’ he replied as he felt color coming back to his face, his trembling stopped and his sobbing too. His cheeks and his hair were being softly caressed by Crikton’s rough, big fingers, and he felt at ease; his body beginning to fall into a trance of peace and sleep; his head tilted against the other man’s chest; he could hear Crikton’s hard, slow heartbeat, and the sound of it reassured the Paladin even more. The one and only man he had ever learnt to look up to, the only one who knew him better than he knew himself, the man that had shown him that factions didn’t matter when it came down to friendship and love. His velvety pink lips curved up in a vague smile as he finally fell to sleep. Crikton felt inside him a sudden urge to kiss the man in his arms, but he held his emotions back because of the fragile state of mind at which Zeyhan was right now, any more sexually linked ideas and he would lose it. He decided it would be best if he let his friend settle down and finally accept facts, embrace and face reality before he could try another move on him.
The sun finally began to rise over the horizon; and the pinkish clouds began to turn orange, red, and violet; sunrise was a beautiful part of the day; the bright blue sky stained in little colorful clouds.
Crikton held Zeyhan tighter and sat straight up, not wanting to move too much so that the other man wouldn’t wake up from his finally deserved rest.
