Hakuba Shrine

(2036)

“…Why? What the hell happened to you?!” Nanase breathed as her eyes snapped open. She was covered in sweat as she had noticed that the car had stopped. “We are here Nanase.” Yoko informed her. Genya ignored the woman and stepped out of the care silently. “Damn…what the hell was I…?” Nanase thought as she unbuckled herself out of the backseat. “Nanase, are you alright? You look like you had seen a ghost.” Yoko was worried. “I am fine. I just need some fresh air.” Nanase gave the woman a nervous chuckle and open the door to get out of the car.

“Shit…that was not a dream and that woman was more than I thought.” Nanase thought as she headed up the steps to the shrine. Yoko looked down at her notepad and remembered hiring Nanase to help her. “She’s such a serious worker. Especially with her family being of Aristocrats. Her parents born in France and this woman had traveled the world learning about mythology and more. Hopefully, she does not freak out about vampires. Even though, she has a dead woman’s spirit inside her.” Yoko thought as the three were heading north.

“But from what Genya had mentioned, that nun was a nice girl who had made sure he was going to sleep until Dracula had awakened the next time. So why is he not trying to help Nanase remember a thing?” She had her eyes on the back of the man. By the time the three had reached the top, Nanase noticed a young woman approaching them. “Ms. Tokugawa!” Mina smiled as she happily ran over to the three. “You finally came!” She added before giving Nanase a hug. “I am alright Mina. But how are you doing?” Nanase hugged the young woman before giving her a smile.

“You haven’t been getting any nightmares have you? Yoko has mentioned that you’ve been stressing a lot since she took you in for the job.” Mina said concerned. “Oh she has mentioned that, hm?” Nanase turned her head over to Yoko. Having a crooked smile on her face, Nanase’s eyes twitched as she gave her a glare. “Well, the thing is…I just been having visions of this one woman. Violet Rose. Can you tell me anything about her?” Nanase sighed in slight irritation before turning her head back to Mina. “I might be able to help you with that one. Rumors say that she was born but never died.” Mina said cheerfully.

“I’ve heard that even in research. This woman had met Dracula before…or what closely resembles him. She was his servant for only a couple of years until she ran away. That’s all I got.” Nanase said before plopping herself on the stone tiles. “She’s the incarnation Mina. Do not mind her tongue though, Nanase has not received any home training.” Genya said as he kept his hands in his pants pockets. “Shut up.” Nanase stuck her tongue out and cocked her head to the side. “I got a dead woman or whatever she is haunting me and no one thinks that this is awkward.” Nanase complained.

“You just have a gift for attracting ghosts.” Yoko teased. “Eh!? Screw this, my parents did not mention anything about me being spiritual with oneself. I want to perform an exorcist or some crap.” Nanase yawned. “She’s been sleeping all day.” Yoko chuckled. “She needs to be nocturnal with that bad insomnia.” Genya commented. “…Let’s not get started on being nocturnal-Mr. Pale Skin.” Nanase smirked at her wits. Not much of name calling if she chose to be appropriate with her language. “You were more proper sounding when you first came here.” Genya sighed.
