"Spread out and find them! They're the last Dealer Operatives, we need to find them!"
Ducking behind an old boiler pipe, next to his sister, listening to the sounds of military boots echoing about the hallways reminded him far too much of things from his past for Jack's taste. Hiding had stopped being his style when he'd realised long ago how powerless situations like this made him feel. Yet, for the first time since meeting Corvus, he was again powerless against such foes. Corvus was gone now.
Everything was gone.
He was huddled up in the shadows of the old Dealer Base. There was no weapon at hand. He couldn't wave change; a power he'd enjoyed, if loathed for having to rely on another being to do it. It was something he'd gotten so used to, but now he couldn't do it. It just reminded him even more how much being human was terrible.
It wasn't that, optimally equipped, he couldn't have done something. He and Tia were the only survivors of Dealer now. They clearly could outlast anyone, right? Well, too bad... the base had long since been ransacked by WAZA when they'd first invaded, and since then... there was nothing they could use.
"...Damnit, why'd I come back here!?" Jack growled, punching the ground hard enough to make his knuckles sting. He didn't want to get too loud, but anger was starting to really overtake him against his better judgement. He felt his sister's hand rest on his shoulder, trying to comfort him.
Despite his outburst, Jack knew exactly why he'd gone there.
Geo fought his hardest, risking his life to give us all a chance to live our own lives to the fullest.
I need... you all... To pray, wish, or picture Geo in your minds that Geo will make it home.
As a fellow human being... and as a father...
Jack wasn't sure why, but he couldn't hate Geo as much as he wanted. Geo had stopped him from finally achieving his dream, from bringing Meteor G down on the planet and wiping out technology. He'd been so close to what it had felt like he'd spent his entire life working towards. Yet, Geo had fought him head on.
When Jack had walked away the loser in that fight, when Geo had told him there was still a place for him anyway, he'd been fool enough to believe. He wanted to believe. To have someone to believe in again. That was why he was here. He refused to just sit back and let Geo float in space when it had been Geo that had stopped him. Fine, if his old dream couldn't come true, he'd try out the world Geo had proposed. One where that hatred could really end with him. Maybe, he'd let himself think, he could go home and just live a normal life.
Still, Geo was his. And he wasn't about to let Geo die out in space. He'd come here and used what little he could find to try to reach Geo. The machines here were almost entirely shut down, but once upon a time they'd been used by King to contact and reign in the red star; surely they could be used again to reach Geo?
He still didn't know if it had worked. And what had come of it?
"Have you seen them?"
"No. Are you sure they're here?"
"They've got to be. Keep looking, you heard the commander!"
Now it was back to hiding as soldiers marched through a place he'd sadly considered home. Last time there had been things to lose that were taken from him; this time, the only thing he had to lose was himself and his sister.
It wasn't worth trying to get to one of the exits. There was only one real world entrance to the Dealer base; every other route in or out was a Noise Wave, and he and Tia couldn't use those anymore. There was no option. Just to hide, hope, and pray. "I can't... stand it..." Jack grit his teeth, slowly feeling his body quaking with the frustration building up inside. "I can't stand it!"
"...Calm down..." his sister's voice, normally so soothing, did nothing to calm his fury for once.
Jack forced himself up to his feet, hands balling hard enough he swore he'd cut open his knuckles. "I can't take it anymore, sis. I've gotta do something! I can't just stand here!"
"You're going to get us caught...!"
"I don't care! I do not surrender to anyone!" Jack didn't even let his sister stop him, walking out into the small room he'd been hidden in. Nobody was there, yet, but he knew it wouldn't be long before someone passed again. And this time, he'd knock them out. It didn't matter who! He was going to take someone out. He had to. If he couldn't even do that...
Footsteps approaching, and Jack's body tensed up, ready to pounce.
"Jack, wait, get back here...!" his sister's protests as she stood up to try to drag him back were a failure. She didn't reach him fast enough and her words were falling on deaf ears.
A shadow in the doorway, and Jack lunged within an instant, charging forward. "You can't take us down!" He didn't care who it was, how strong they were. He was done being beaten.
"...Jack!?"
It wasn't until he had his target pinned down, hands around his neck, that Jack realised who it was he was throttling. Even then it took a moment before his hands retracted quickly.
"Geo!?"
The brunette was gasping for air for a few moments, coughing a little, trying to push Jack up and off. Jack was so stunned it took him a little to catch up to the fact that Geo was pestering him to get off, and Jack pulled back, looking down at the other boy in shock.
Geo was slowly pushing himself back up, holding his head for a few moments and trying to readjust his goggles. Then he tried to glare up at Jack, managing to get out a "What was that for!?", before his gaze softened again. Geo was smiling. Smiling, then starting to cry.
Before Jack knew what was going on, Geo was clinging onto him tightly. "Where did you go!? What are you doing hiding out here!? I've been worried about you!" he sounded so angry, between sobs. "I was worried you'd run off! Or that you didn't even make it back! You... you didn't even..."
Things didn't line up, but for just a little bit, Jack was willing to forget that. Geo was here, and clinging onto him, and... he didn't know what to do. He just wrapped his arms around Geo, sighing a bit.
"It's... I was waiting for you. Stupid," Jack tried to cover up his embarassment by acting like his usual tough self. "I had to work my ass off to bring you back, you know, I--"
Jack would have been surprised by Geo interrupting him with a kiss, but his brain was already a little overloaded as is, so the shock never really registered. Jack just let himself be kissed for a moment, before his brain kicked back in and reminded him that his sister was probably watching. At that, he remembered a great number of other things that were going on, cued by the sounds of footsteps down the hall. Panicking, he broke the kiss and grabbed Geo's collar, scrambling backwards and pulling the other back into the room. "C-comeon...!"
"Wait, wait, Jack, what are you doing!?"
"I can't let them find--"
"It's alright. They're here because I asked."
Jack stopped halfway through pulling Geo into the doorway, looking at him in confusion. "What, why would you...!?"
"Well, I mean..." Geo flushed a little, rubbing the back of his head. "I pulled a couple strings... WAZA's willing to forgive you, especially with Ace backing me up, and..."
"Ace?" Jack blinked, even more confused now.
"...Ace is--" he could hear Tia begin behind him, then stop as Geo broke out into a grin.
"There's a lot to catch up on," Geo smiled, absently hugging Jack to his chest - whether or not Jack liked it.
* * * * *
Stars were shining overhead, in the same patterns they had forever. To Jack, even with the complexity of the night sky's patterns, it wasn't interesting how it was almost always the same. Still, beside him, Geo seemed enthralled with the stars. Not that Jack could blame Geo; having been out there himself gave him a bit more appreciation for it all too. Wasting away the end of his day like this wasn't something he would have done before. Now, though, after a long hectic day, beside Geo...
...It wasn't bad.
"You didn't have to do all that for us," Jack sighed, turning to the other boy. Geo was sitting with legs crossed, staring up at the night sky lazily; Jack had both his knees pulled up defensively. Even after all this time, he still didn't feel like he could drop his guard.
"You're my friend."
"Drop it, Geo," Jack stuck his tongue out. "People don't stand up for criminals just because they're friends."
"Why not?" Geo turned his gaze away from the sky and back down to the ground, to Jack. "Is it so bad I wanted to help you? You don't still think I'm your enemy, do you?"
"No, but..."
Geo turned seriously this time, staring Jack down in a way that forced the other to stare at him back. For once, the intensity of the gaze belonged to Geo.
"I really mean it. Please, Jack. Stop acting like this."
"Jeez, what's gotten into you?" Jack bit his lip a bit, a little irritated at being told what to do. It was what he'd been doing all day. Getting shuffled around to WAZA, and the whole nonsense of an official pardon, and having to get separated from his sister who was overjoyed at seeing Ace again, and a whole lot of other meaningless, irritating procedure. "I'll do what I want."
"That better not mean leaving me," Geo didn't sound like his usual cheerful self when he said that. It wasn't a challenge either. It kind of worried Jack, hearing that tone from Geo.
"The heck does that mean?"
This time, Geo was the one who pounced on Jack, surprising the other and pinning him down while Jack's guard was dropped. "It means exactly that. I... I don't want someone I really like to just leave me again."
Somewhere in Jack's mind, he wanted to ask. Again? What was Geo talking about? Not that it would have entirely surprised Jack at this point to find out Geo had been fucked before, but... what was the story with that anyway? ...Well, there'd be a lot of time to figure that out, because... "Don't worry. I don't plan on going anywhere for a while, okay?"
"...I really mean it, Jack." Both boys' eyes were locked on the others, with Jack's wide in confusion and Geo's beginning to show signs of tears. "I... I want you to be my friend, and... and..."
It didn't bother him near as much as it should have. Perhaps facing ultimate defeat was humbling. Maybe losing sight of a horrible dream he'd pursued so fervently had finally given him a reality check. Or maybe it was that he finally didn't need to hate Geo. Maybe he had finally found reason to stop forcing himself to feel one way or another. He didn't need to be angry. Didn't need to fight Geo. He still wanted to, though, if just a bit. He wanted Geo to still be in his life. Maybe as a rival, or maybe as a friend, but most likely as something closer. Maybe all of the above. He still had a lot of time to make up his mind. For now though, Jack had sorted his mind out enough to know that leaving wasn't what he wanted.
"Shut up," Jack managed a bit of a smirk, and flipped Geo over onto his back. It didn't suit Jack at all to be on his back. This was the way he liked it. The other boy looked a little startled, now, rather than as sad as he had before. "I'm not going to be your friend," Jack continued, trying momentarily to draw some sort of angry look up on his face.
The look of a frightened puppy popped back up on Geo's face. "Wh-" Jack enjoyed it for the moment it existed, then he leaned down and shut Geo up with a strong, hard kiss. Lips locked, and Jack could watch Geo melt into it almost instantly. It didn't help that he felt it too; shutting his eyes and letting his body lean down against Geo's, rubbing a little against it. This was... something else. Something different than what Jack had dreamed. This kiss, was love.
When the kiss was finally broken, both boys were flushed up and breathing heavy, eyes opening slowly and almost in sync. "I can't be your friend... I do own you, afterall," Jack joked, cracking a weasel's grin.
"Boyfriend it is," Geo smiled back, leaning up to get another kiss. He got a bit of a playful glare, then Jack met Geo halfway, leaning in for a strong, rough kiss. Kissing someone wasn't directly pleasurable, not in the same way sex was, but Jack was finding he didn't mind it at all. And speaking of that...
"Boyfriend... owner..." Jack whispered as he pulled back from the kiss. He drew Geo's hands up past his hands a bit, letting a bit of his weight rest on Geo, and causing their laps to rub together. He felt himself digging into Geo a bit... and Geo digging back. Wonderful. "How about I fuck you again and show you which?"
It was a little surprising to see Geo grinning back at this offer, after how Jack had treated him for so long. "Go for it."
Even if there was love and passion being shared, even if touches lasted longer and lingered to explore the other's body without the restraints of fear or haste, Jack was still not used to the idea of an encounter like this with Geo, or with anyone. For someone like him, the idea of really loving someone - and how to show it - was not something he knew. So Geo's clothes were coming off rather harshly, one by one, and so were Jack's, as the fiercer boy sought to keep the lead and his control.
It wasn't until both boys were down to boxers, that Jack felt Geo's hands wrapping around his own wrists. He paused, looking up from Geo's slim chest to his face, to see Geo looking over him.
"I... just give me a moment," Geo was flushed, still staring at Jack's body.
"Huh? Why?"
"I... I just... I mean, I know I saw you at Alohaha, but... like this, I, well..." Geo seemed embarassed, having to explain it, but Jack nodded as he caught on. He'd hardly exposed his body to Geo before when they'd done these things. He felt his own face heating up a bit at the realisation that Geo wanted to see him like this, then flushed more when Geo's hands softly rested on his back. Curious, Jack looked back down, to see Geo staring back up at them.
During the next kiss they shared, Jack decided this whole love thing was way more complex than he'd thought. On the other hand, there was something simple and just as enjoyable, and he made that desire plain when one of his hands strayed to start relieving Geo of the last of his clothes. The other gasped into the kiss, which felt a little odd to Jack, so he broke the kiss a moment later and finished stripping Geo down.
For a moment, Geo gave him a slightly questioning look, as if to ask what Jack was going to do, then Jack's hand wandered in between Geo's legs and wrapped around the other boy's flesh. Geo let out a startled moan of pleasure, his body tensing up beneath his new lover. It occured to Jack that this was something else he'd never done... he'd never deliberately sought to please Geo at any point up until now.
Wait, when had he decided to please Geo? Damnit, he was here to prove to Geo just how much he owned him! Yeah, that'd do for now. Jack leaned back a bit to get some balance as his other hand went to finish stripping off his own boxers.
"Jack..." Geo managed to breathe out, then he moaned as Jack decided to reward the use of his name with a sudden, strong stroke. "Will you at least... try to be a little... gentler this time?"
Gentle? That was a word that was hardly in Jack's vocabulary. All the same, he nodded after a moment's consideration. "Alright, but, er, I mean, I don't exactly know how to... I mean I don't know what I can do to make it easier on you, and..."
Geo flushed a bit, then took Jack's free hand to shut him up. He lead it to his mouth, and with his cheeks practically on fire, took a couple digits into his mouth. Just a little at first, then he pulled them in deeper, letting his lips sink down around them, sucking lightly.
Jack, in all his limited experience with such things, expected nothing like this. At first, he was confused, but then he was staring in rapt fascination as Geo bobbed up and down on his fingers a bit, and could feel the other's tongue working around them. Was that what Geo like when he willingly sucked someone off? Damn, he'd have to try that later, Jack decided, because just watching was making his cock twitch. Still, after a few seconds, when Geo slipped back and off of his saliva-coated fingers, the confusion returned. "Why...?"
"Put those.. in me first. It... you know..." Geo was flushed red, apparently a little too embarassed to give the full details, but Jack shrugged and went ahead with it, slipping that hand down Geo's body, past his hips... and then pressing them in to Geo. This felt strange too, actually feeling inside of someone else's body, feeling it clamping down around him, and not doing it with his cock. It was amusing, however, how Geo tensed up all the same, letting out a little whimper.
"Gh..." Geo grit his teeth a bit, momentarily shutting his eyes, before looking back up at Jack. "You don't... do gentle very well, do you?"
"Not at all," Jack grinned, pressing them in further, and as he watched Geo brace against it, used his other hand to stroke Geo's member a little again. That made the boy's body shiver and almost convulse a bit beneath him, and Jack could feel the other's body tightening down around his finger.
Wait, if stroking Geo made the boy's body clamp down tighter, then...
Jack's fingers withdrew sharply, leaving Geo with a bit of a startled look, then his eyes opened even wider as Jack hastily climbed between Geo's legs. "Jack!" he gasped out, bracing his body again already.
"Hey, I'll make it good for you, promise," Jack grinned, about to thrust in, then he paused for a moment and started down at Geo, hardly able to handle the urge between his legs. "...You don't mind, do you?"
Geo couldn't quite meet his eyes for a fe wmoments. "Well... it's not like... anyway, yeah, I don't mind," Geo flushed as his eyes came back up to look at Jack. Not like what? Not like he was used to something else? Not like he wasn't used to it? Just another question to file away to ask Geo later, Jack decided. Then the former criminal made another decision, and pushed into Geo.
This time, Jack tried to take it slow. He didn't exactly succeed; his hunger for Geo and for release was far too great. But this time, hearing Geo's whimpers among the moans bothered him. So he leaned down to kiss the other, wrapping his hand around Geo's flesh once more to stroke him. That seemed to make it all better in so many ways; Geo's hesitant moans became full-bodied, and his body reacted heartily to Jack's thrusting and touches.
And in the way it perhaps mattered most at that precise moment, Geo's body was now actively working Jack's flesh. Within only a couple thrusts it was overwhelming Jack and snapping the fiercer boy's restraint, and with a lusty growl any semblance of gentleness and care was lost in the desperate thrusting for release, and both boys' moans were fighting to be heard over the other.
"Jack... oh g-god... more!"
"Geo... I'll give you... hah... more than you... can handle..." Jack couldn't handle it all either, though. He drove Geo over the edge quickly, feeling the other's juices spurting out and onto his hand. That hardly registered though, compared to the feeling of Geo's body shaking and tensing around him, and then Jack couldn't make much sense of what he was feeling, except the warmth around his cock and the feeling of being milked for everything he had.
"...you're kinda... crushing me..."
"...whu?" It took Jack a few moments to realise that he had very nearly lost consciousness for a few seconds, then he lifted himself off of Geo's chest, feeling the stickiness of the other's release on his stomach and hand still. It wasn't like he hadn't fucked Geo before, but something about what had just happened had literally reached mind-blowing levels. "Oh, sorry."
Geo chuckled a bit, then let out a long and content sigh, looking up at the other. He hesitated for a moment, then smiled, and spoke calmly. "I love you, Jack."
For a small time, Jack was stunned. Well, he loved Geo back, sort of, probably, but actually hearing those words aimed at him...
"Well, maybe I love you back," Jack finally managed, looking a bit embarassed. Geo didn't seem too phased, at first, then the hero was giving a grin that only Jack thought he could do.
"Fine, I'll have to finish seducing you," Geo teased. "Then it'll be definite love."
"Oh, is this a contest, is it?" Jack returned that wild grin. "Fine. As your rival, afterall, I'm going to make you swoon for me so hard you'll be begging me to love you."
"Sounds like a plan."
Yeah, Jack figured. For now that he was free from Dealer, free from Meteor G, free from Corvus... free from his dreams, free from his hatred, free from himself, he could use something to do while he decided on his own future.

~~The End~~
