Chapter 5
He liked this closeness, the ability to make Hal feel good with whatever leads the man gave him: The moans, the gasps, what he said to him… Anything he could use to know what Hal liked and what he didn’t… Effectively this was what he was using at the moment.
Hal made soft noises of content as he continued to grip Snake's hair. He closed his eyes and laid back muttering incoherently
Snake groaned at the man’s sounds and used his tongue to pleasure him in the places he was sure his partner liked the most. He wondered briefly but soon enough he had to pull away and found himself kissing Hal, pressing his lips against his in a caressing motion as he slipped his tongue into the other’s mouth.
Hal kissed him back deeply, panting a little. He ran his fingers over Snake's back and over the muscles and scars.
Snake muttered something unintelligible over Hal’s lips as the other man touched him in all the right places. He then pressed against him, trying to bring them, if possible, closer.
Hal held him close. "I love you..."
Snake gently pushed him onto his back to lay down. “…” It was a little complicated to tell the man he loved him back. He wondered for about a split second before he swallowed down his doubts and muttered this against his ear. “…love you…” it was little more than a whisper but he covered it with a kiss to his temple.
Hal smiled serenely having heard the words he wanted to hear for years. "Thanks..." He said nuzzling softly
‘Thanks… he’s thanking me?’ Snake wondered silently as he looked Hal in the eyes and leaned to kiss his lips again, then his neck. From here down it was a little easier to speak, if only a little. “I do, and I need you a lot more than you’d think.” He explained, wondering if maybe he was wrong to assume Hal could guess these things.
"I need you too..." Hal said. He was glad he was needed.
Snake held onto him tightly at this. Now that he had the chance he suddenly didn’t want to speak much: Maybe because he found an open communication he couldn’t exactly understand in this silence.
Hal looked at him. He opened his mouth to stay something but closed it. He snuggled against him and sighed in content.
“Hmmm?” Snake breathed at the man, touching him gently here and there as to admire him. He would, more often than not, notice how beautiful in many ways Hal was but he didn’t tend to say so with more than gestures; not words.
"Nothing…" Hal smiled up at him. He reached up and touched Snake's cheek, running his hand over the stubble.
Snake smiled at this and resumed his more relaxed position. Still he felt he was forgetting something important… he just didn’t know what.
"You ok? You're awfully quiet.." Hal asked after a while.
“I’m calm.” He replied, leaning to kiss Hal deeply.
Hal leaned up and kissed him back. "For once?" he smiled.
“Yeah, for once. It’s strange.” He added. Since it wasn’t a common occurrence that he felt calm in his life it was odd at some point to him.
Hal smiled more and kissed his neck. "But it feels good doesn't it?"
“Heavenly.”
Hal giggled and nodded. "Good."
Ah yes, Hal laughing. What was something ‘heavenly’ without that particular sound? Still it managed to calm him as well and soon enough he had forgotten that he forgot something at all.
Hal nuzzled and soon fell asleep in Snake's arms. He curled up against him and sighed in content.
This was too much a rarity for Snake to give into sleep without much of a fight. He looked at Hal and watched him sleep for a while first, noticing that calm the man had around him like an aura when he wanted to was also working when he was asleep as well.
Hal slept the rest of the night curled up against Snake. He woke up the next morning and stretched. Then it hit him. That guy was still in the other room! He shook Snake a little. "Dave...Dave wake up.."
Dave muttered something and looked at him. “What is it?” He asked.
"That scientist is still tied up in the other room.." Hal said.
“Want me to kill him…” Snake finished for him as he got up and looked for a weapon absently. He’d been out in this place for long enough and he really didn’t want to have to move because of that man.
Hal looked at him. "Give him adavan…Then hit his head really… really hard but don't kill him…"
“That doesn’t seem like a good idea.”
Hal sighed. "Do whatever you think is a good idea but keep in mind he did help you…"
Snake nodded and went to where the man supposedly was.
