Disclaimer:
I do not own the Tomb Raider game series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
UPDATE: Roadmap
First off, this isn't a new chapter, so sorry to disapoint. I did however put up two new chapters to the fat man remake in case any of you haven't noticed, so head over and read that.
I can't believe it took me this long to notice that they removed my Roadmap from the misc section. They didn't notify me at all of the removal. I guess it does make sense tho, because after all the Roadmap itself wasn't a fanfiction. So I've decided that from now on I'm going to keep an updated roadmap attached to at least one of my stories so you guys could still give input on it. At the very least, they can't be bothered to delete my roadmap if it's attached to a legit piece of FF. Or so I hope...
I can't remember alot of the stuff that I've said on the old roadmap, so I'm going to have to start anew. Basically right now since I have too many ideas and not enough time to do them all I'm only going to list stuff that have a higher probability of me getting around to actually writing about. I'll also list stories that I'm considering discontinuing and the reason I'm not really motivated to update them. Obviously this entire post is just me ranting about a whole lot of nothing, so be warned that you probably will find it all a little bit trifling/boring.
Reality of Lara's Legend:
This piece of work is what I consider to be my AFF debut, even though it was posted after the NFS piece went up. It really does bear alot of the marks of my early inexperience with fanfiction (also evident in the NFS piece). However I have no intentions of going back and revising them now, because they serve as milestones of my own development in writing fanfiction. What I will do eventually is finish a chapter for each level of the game.
Fat Man Remake:
I think I'm in love with the idea of Lara being forced to do all sorts of nasty stuff for a vile obese man. What started out as a simple remake of a short story may actually last me my entire tenure here at AFF. If you read the latest chapter, I discuss the possibility of doing a one chapter flash forward to the eventual end of the story continuity, where Lara gets her admitedly underwhelming revenge against fat ass (even the most gruelsome of deaths for Gordo IMO will even be enough to account for what he has done to Lara). The flash forward, if I do it, will give me a direction to take the story, while giving me the freedom of cramming as much filling into the story as I want without the fear that somewhere along the line I'll lose sense of how it's all supposed to come to a close.
Reality of Lara's Underworld:
The logical follow up to my Legend fic. If I ever get around to doing it it will have at least partial continuity with what happened in the Legend fic. What I do want to do though is at some point between the two pieces have Lara's mind partially wiped of the sexual encounters she went through in Legend. The reason being if she remembered everything from Legend it's too emburdening (word?) and I'd rather Lara had a semi fresh start for Underworld, maybe reuse some aspects of the Legend fic.
Reality of Eden Prime:
For some odd reason, I've lost all interest in that story. A good part of it is because I wrote it before even playing the game, and now that I've played the game the story just no longer seems as enticing. I'm considering taking the piece off of AFF entirely and shelving it until I could find a way to make it work. If someday I suddenly get a burst of inspiration I'll try to finish it, but right now the piece is on indefinite hold.
Mass Effect short pieces:
The Detox piece recieved a decent but less than stellar response. Basically in my book if my stories aren't getting a five star rating then I must be doing something wrong. AFF is a pretty forgiving place in terms of grammar and subject matter but I know my readers still have standards. I admit freely that the piece was probably subparr or lacked in certain departments in a way taht cut into believability and enjoyability. If I do any more Mass Effect shorts from now on I'll probably maul them over a little more and get opinions on them. Basically all of you who have emailed me sometime in the past I'll send rough drafts to for preview and critical analysis and take whatever feedback I get back into account.
The same will probably be happening for any other short stories in the future. The longer works however are largely fire and forget. This is because I tend to devote more time to the chapters in Fat Man, as an example, and by the time I post it it's more or less in the form that I want it to be in, a sort of take it or leave it thing. I'll only make minor grammar or detail adjustments, but nothing more than that.
Naruto:
The tsukuyomi story is technically finished. While I left it in a sort of a cliff hanger the purpose of that was to leave things to the reader's imagination. also in light of recent developments in the manga (spoiler: Kurenai becomes pregnant with Asuma's baby, and Uchiha Itachi is actually a good guy who actually wants to protect Konoha)
The story seems to have lost a certain amount of credibility.
Inferno's Mission:
I only own soul calibur 2, and that was for the gamecube. Seung Mina and Xianghua were pretty much the only two girls that I really had hard on's for. Mind you I'm ignoring the fact that Xianghua's voice actress is hopelessly annoying. I originally intended to include all the characters of the game into them but I wanted to make every encounter unique, and I need to at least find the motif of the encounter erotically stimulating. In short, I'm having a writer's block with the piece.
Dawn of the Silver Dragon:
This is a series of hentai mangas that are REALLY GOOD. Some of my writings actually were inspired by them. To get the english translations google "sahadou" and you should be able to get them from his weblog. If not email me and I can give you a link. Volume 2 in particular is on my eternal list of wank-worthy illustrations. I can't even begin to describe how addicted I am to the manga. The problem is that the magazine running the manga ran out of money and had to close prematurely, resulting in the manga getting a rushed and REALLY BAD ending. By really bad I mean the protagonists (girls being raped) basically decide that they don't have a problem with serving under the villain and being his sex slaves. I have basically blotted out the entirety of the 4th volume and chose to write my own ending to the manga series. It's a bit of a deus Ex machina, because the further you read the manga the more hopeless the situation becomes for the heroines. I should've expected a primarily rape and Mind Control hentai manga end on a bad note, but I really had hoped that the author would pull out all stops to bring some justice to the ending, and as such I was immensely dissapointed. So basically I want to write out a literal rendition of everything up to the point of the third volume, then branch off from there and create my own happy ending that somehow doesn't come off as contrived and cheesy.
I finish the real Chapter 5 of Reality of Lara's Legend (I finally found a way to make it work and am drafting it at intervals between my writing of the Fat Man piece) I'll put that up. What I'll probably do is to keep an updated roadmap stickied to the latest update I make to AFF from now on.
But seriously, now that I've mentioned it, all of you HAVE TO go download the Dawn of the Silver Dragon series. read Volume 4 at your own risk, you've been warned. The ending REALLY SUX.
