The little conqueror.. wounded?
Sun Ce was silent the whole ride, a sword tight on his belt. Always checking the way..
Then, when they reached the castle, Ce spoke at last “I’m very furious of you, Da, busting there in the main camp.. All by yourself. Without permission. A main camp is no place for a lady.” Sun Ce explains.
“I apologize.. I was just worried..” Da mumbles.
“next time,” Ce starts to say. He hold up a firm fist in front of her face, “do not take such foolish chances!” he says. And leaves.
That morning, Ce went to hunt a deer or two for fun, it was always his hobby.
When he’s all bored and depressed he’d go out by his own to hunt.
Da, in the garden, reading her story “my charming prince” till..
A maiden rushes to Da, face is pale..
This could only mean trouble.. “my lady! My lady!” the maiden calls.
“what’s wrong?” Da asks, snapping from the world of her imagination.
“its lord Sun Ce. He’s wounded!” the maiden replies.
Da rushed to Ce, surprised, the great conqueror wounded?
“my lord? How are you?” Da asks, worried.
Ce laying on his bed, a doctor checking his wounds.
Ce unconscious. Da checks his wound.. It’s was caused by an arrow.
Lady WU rushed in, “how is my son?” she asks the doctor.
“its poison, the arrow was poisoned, he needs to stay in bed for at least 2 months. Otherwise he won’t heal..” Lady WU checks her son. Sits by his side. Da too, both are worried and surprised, it was all unexpected.. Not part of the ‘routine’.
Lady WU “how did it happen?” the solider replies “it was an ambush, but we toke care of the assassins just in time.” Lady WU asked “who were the assassins?” the soldier replies;
“a formal group whom Ce has expelled from the kingdom some time ago, my lady”
Da and lady WU sat beside Ce almost the whole time.
Some visitors come and go, Ce was slowly getting better.
“what happened while I was unconscious?” asked Ce the officer.
“Nothing,” the officer replied.
“nothing? Nothing at all?” Ce asked for details.
“ah, yes, a wizard moved here days ago. Yu Ji. He has the power to heal, people call him the holy one. He’s very useful indeed.” the officer replied.
“a wizard in WU and you haven’t told me? That’s most objected! No wizards go near WU! Bring him! I shall know his intensions today!” Ce declared.
So they did, the wizard was brought to Ce at the exact same day.
Out in the open, people attended the trial.
