An Off Day

“No, Stop, Please stop!” said a shrilled voice in the night. Egg man ambushed him while alone and unprepared for a fight, and tied his hands and feet down so he could not move. “My little genius! When we look at them for the first time I am sure the perfect name will come to mind.” Said Tails looking at the smiling bunny. She hugged him and ran off to play.

He had received so many great gifts from his friends and watched as they all went to go put up the gifts into the house. Amy and Rouge went to put up the food telling him that he should sit and rest. Everything was perfect for once he had the love of his life, a child on the way, great friends, and not a care in the world.

“Jii-chan?” asked a small voice. Tails looked down and saw Cream at his side holding her hands behind her back. Tails smiled at her and she pulled out a bundle of flowers and handed them to Tails. He smiled when Cheese flew up and handed him a little flower too.

“Thank you, Cream and Cheese they are beautiful.” Cream and Cheese hugged Tails. “I am going to go put them in some water.” Said Tails getting up. Cream and Cheese stopped him, and he sat back down.
“I will do it for you, Jii-chan.” Said Cream running into the house with Cheese following. He smiled; after a while Cream and Cheese came back out with a glass of lemonade.
“Mommy thought you might like some.” Said Cream handing the glass to him. Tails patted her head and sipped a little.

“Thank you.” He said and hugged the two.

“Jii-chan? What’s going on?” asked Cream frightened the ground started to shake. Tails looked around seeing the entire Island go dark. He looked up and saw a big cloud and a lot of wind blowing. Tails held Cream and Cheese close to him as the wind picked up. The clouds blew away and out came a big ship. Tails looked up at the ship in defiance as he recognized the design.
“Eggman!” said Tails. Cream held onto him and buried her head into him, as well as Cheese holding onto Cream and Tails.
A bright light engulfed them, Tails shielding Cream and Cheese as they were lifted off the ground.

“Cream!”
“Tails!” someone shouted. Tails looked down and saw Knuckles and everybody else on the ground. Rouge and Knuckles lifted up into the air only to be thrown down by the strong wind. Knuckles looked back up, fear in his eyes. Rouge tightened her hold on Amy from blowing away, tears in her eyes as she tried to reach out for Cream. Cream looked down crying and reached out for her moms. Tails looked down and mouthed ‘I love you’ and both disappeared into the ship. The ship lifted up and blew away into the clouds till it could not been seen the wind dying down. Everybody stood in silence till they heard two ear shattering screams.
“IIE!” screamed out Knuckles and Amy both crashing to the ground on their knees. Rouge hugged Amy along with Big and Froggy, while Sonic and Tikal worried over Knuckles.

“Where do you think they went?” asked Shadow with the Chaotix Team and Chaos Zero was there.
“Not sure. Egg man usually hides in rural areas. Know of one?” asked Vector.
