Candles in the Twilight
Right, let's get back on track!

Hildes head was spinning. Was she supposed to believe she had been cursed so that during daytime, she could only under pain leave the house and expose herself to sunlight, while she was feeling weak even inside? All because she had been wounded and was now recuperating and some people told her that? How could she possibly believe that?
Then again, she had experienced what Soul Calibur and Soul Edge could do and she had firsthand seen Auguste... and she had seen the sincerity in Amy's eyes as she had asked her not to leave the castle.
Hilde was confused. Without the maids to lead her through the castle, she was practically free to wander where she pleased and she did use the chance to explore this place a bit. For a start, she decided to go through the first floor. There were several doors on each side of the corridor, but most rooms she entered were either not in use or belonged to the staff, it appeared. The only way she could distinguish one from another was that those not in use were simply not lit by any candles or torches. So, one room for Auguste and a room for the maids. Where those had gone off, it was a mystery to Hilde, but she did not mind it too much. She was even able to discover a small library in the wing opposite to the dining room. But, books had never interested her that much and she doubted they would do much good to her anyway at the moment.
So, she continued to walk through the castles hallways and she was still finding new rooms. But, the silence hung like a magic spell over this place. That was, until one peculiar sound broke that spell. It was a high-pitched sound, definitely coming from a humans mouth. It sounded far away, but Hilde could still hear it. Then she heard it again.Following the sound, she followed the hallway to a section where she hadn't been before. In the far end of it, she spied a door that leaned open. There was light inside.
"Aah, Marienbard... not so.... not so rough!", she heard a pleading voice behind the not fully closed the door. The voice, she recognised it. It was Jacqueline, the redhead maid with the usually cheery disposition. And from the sound of it, Marienbard was in there as well. Her curiosity getting the better of her, Hilde stepped closer and let her head peek through the crack of the door.
On the opposite end of the room was a spacious bed, no doubt it had either been intended for a wealthy guest or even the Lord of this castle himself. But instead, Hilde saw the two maids, Jacqueline and Marienbard, on it. Marienbard was on top of Jacqueline, both their rears facing towards Hilde. But while the skirt of the green-haired maid was only pulled up enough so that Hilde could see the face of Jacqueline squirming underneath her, she was shocked to find that the latters skirt AND underwear had been removed. The redhead was completely exposed and it was visible even to Hilde, who was a fair distance away, that she was wet.
And the reason for that were the three fingers of Marienbard that were driving in and out of Jacqueline at a leisurely pace while the slightly older and more well-trained maid talked down at her counterpart. "Oh, but I have seen how you look at her, Jacqueline, how you touched her when you dressed her in that nightgown when she was asleep. You'd fancy to have a go at her yourself, don't you?", she said, almost sounding accusingly if it weren't for the controversial situation they were in.
For a couple of moments, all that exited Jacqueline were ragged breaths. Marienbards finger not once stopped their lustful work. Every few times, she would withdraw her fingers completely from the maids pussy and then slammed back in. Each time, a slurping sound of Jacquelines wet sex sounded through the room, echoing loudly in Hildes ears, and an even louder moan of the maid. Marienbard kept the pace at random, not giving the other girl a chance to get accostumed to it. "J-jealous.... aren't you?", the subdued redhead tried to talk back, but a small yelp as escaped her as Marienbards fingers plunged deeply into her once and stopped her babbling.
Marienbard seemed impassive, going about this almost as if it was a pure routine. "No. I just think you let your manners down because of your lust for her flesh. That's unforgiveable. Keep yourself in check as I do.", she reprimanded Jacqueline.
Hilde felt defiled and repulsed at those revelations. Those two had been the ones that watched over her in her sleep? She had checked herself during the bath and her maidenhood was still intact. At least that was something they could never take away from her, Hilde thought. But despite her morals and innocence, she could not leave this scene, it was as if she was compelled to stay and... keep watching.
"I am beginnning to think you are losing your devotion to Master Raphael...", Marienbard uttered, and as she spoke her fingers slowly decreased in pace.
"Aah... don't be stupid. You know that Master Raphael is the one I serve and love.", the younger maid mewled in delight at her treatment.
"Oh? Then what about me?", Marienbard asked inquisitively as she stopped frigging the other maid until that question was not answered. Immediately, the loss of stimulation was answered with a groan of dissatisfaction. She had been sooo close.
Jacquelines hips bucked upwards a few times, trying to get herself off on the still present fingers, but Marienbard simply withdrew them. Just then, the redhead grabbed ahold of Marienbards arm, but instead of forcing her to pleasure her more, she brought the hand up to her face and started to suck the juices off of Marienbards fingers. "Uuhhn... y-you know tha..-AH-... well enough.", Jacqueline giggled.
Next thing that happened was that Marienbards face, until now looming over Jacqueline, darted downwards and captured the redheads lips in a kiss. It was only then that Hilde realized what was truly going on: This was not some form of punishment for Jacqueline... no, they both genuinely enjoyed it. With a growing fascination, Hilde watched their kiss, until Marienbard pulled away. Little strings of saliva and Jacquelines juices connected their lips for a moment, then they broke. And then...
Jacquelines eyes wandered from Marienbards straight to Hildes. "See something you like, mylady?", Jacqueline suddenly adressed Hilde.
"Mayhap she wants to join us?", Marienbard wondered aloud as she turned to look over her shoulder. Her tone did not betray any surprise at Hildes presence. Had they known she was there? For how long...?
Finally being snapped out of her weird fascination, Hildes remaining modesty caused her to step back into the hallway, slam the door shut and walk hurriedly away from the room. The only thing that still rang in her ears was a loud, guttural moan that could only belong to Jacqueline...
As soon as she was sure that she got out of the viscinity, Hilde stopped, trying to calm herself. She leaned onto the stone wall of the castles hallway and struggled to get what she had just seen out of her head. True, she had wanted to explore, but not that kind of exploring. Her thoughts were racing, as was her heart. What was it with the recent turn of events in her life? It was getting more bizarre by the minute...
Returning to her original task, Hilde opened the door next to her and was surprised to find a staircase behind it. It was a big one and after counting the staircases, Hilde concluded that there were five floors, including the basement. Feeling that it would be best if she focused on that task instead of remaining idle and remembering Jacquelines naked body quivering underneath Marienbard, Hilde started to search through this house from bottom to top. But even with that resolve, she found it hard to get her body moving. It was as if it refused to let her go at a normal pace, and so Hilde was going at a much slower pace than she had wanted, each step demanding a fair share of determination, lest she would remain standing.
In the basement, she found plenty of fresh food, but it was by far not enough for the castle if every room was occupied. In fact, it seemed to be just about enough for the five inhabitants that lived there now. That, and the fact that the second and third floor were completely deserted and had been so for a longer time. Dust and cobwebs were present everywhere, but there was furniture in every room she checked here. Most of it had evidently never even been used. It just stood here, rotting away in time.
But the fourth floor was definitely still in use. In contrast to the other floors, there were chandeliers burning in the hallway. The second and the third floor had been darkened and Hilde had to get a candlestick from the first floor to even be able to find her way through the hallway. Actually, the layout of this castle was fairly easy to grasp, the hallways were simply two rectangles, connected at their borders, with the staircases to traverse from floor to floor at the far end of each rectangle. Once she had understood that while exploring the first floor, she did not risk getting lost in the second and third.
The fourth floor was no exception to this concept, except it only consisted of one single rectangle, thus it was safe to assume for Hilde that this was the place where she could find Amy. Again, she checked every room and to her surprise, every room seemed to be in use. Nowhere could she see a spot of dust, but what was even stranger, she couldn't find the Lady of this castle anywhere either. The last room she checked was similar to the others: It showed signs of being used recently, the bed being in disarray and a few books were taken out of the shelves and lay on a table, some closed, some opened.
She finally saw the sun again. It stood high over the mountains in the distance, painting the forest that grew over them in lush colors. Hilde enjoyed the sight for a moment as something happened. At first, she merely thought her eyes were not used to the light, but even when she closed them, the light would hurt them and it didn't stop there. Soon, the discomfort turned into pain and passed right through her body. Groaning and squirming in pain now, Hilde fumbled with the curtains, hoping to pull them shut quickly, but even before her hand had found them, her legs had given in and she was laying on the floor, unable to stop the light to stop harming her.
Memories flooded back to her as she writhed in pain on the floor. It was the same pain when the frenchman, Raphael, had latched onto her neck. Her skin burnt, as if it burned under the face of the sun, crumbling away instead of melting though. More and more, and soon it became unbearable as Hilde cried out in agony once.
But then, the pain stopped. It echoed through her body still, but quickly vanished, only an evil afterthought of it remaining. Her eyes fluttered open. Now, the dim light of the room was surrounding her again, it was much more bearable. She looked up to her savior, and saw that it was in fact Amy Sorel who had closed the curtains. And she looked down at Hilde witha rather displeased look.
"Why... the sun...?", Hilde stuttered, still not believing what had happened. The pain had been definitely real, but now that she looked down at herself, she saw nothing wrong with herself. No burn marks, no harmed skin, nothing...
Amy's expression turned from disappointed into something more unreadable. "It will get better in due time. This is why I asked you to stay with us for a week. You would not be able to survive as you are now, princess Hildegard von Krone.", she told her.
No. How could this be? Would she never be able to walk outside anymore? Never enjoy the sun and even fresh air? Unable to do all this without feeling this pain again?
"I believe the maids had told you about this, Hildegard von Krone.", Amy half-stated, half-asked her.
Hilde, feeling her legs working again, got up clumsily before answering. "They did, Miss Sorel. I just couldn't believe it.", her voice was shaking, as was her mind. So it was true. It was all true... everything they had said.
Again, Amy's expression shifted, this time clearly showing displeasure. "Then they failed to be as convincing as they should have been on the matter. I will go and look for them now.",she said
"Well, they.... uh...", Hilde tried to stop her. Did Amy even know about her maids pasttime activities? Either way did Hilde think that she should not be confronted with it, at her age... she was some years younger than herself, after all. But she couldn't spell it out what they had done, after all, she was doing her best to repress that memory.
However, Amy interpreted Hildes embarassed silence quite correctly. "You have seen Jacqueline and Marienbard together, haven't you? Don't fret about this, they do this regularly. You will soon come to ignore it.", she said nonchalantly.
"You allow such indecency in this place, Miss Sorel?", she inquired. How could she know of this and yet not react to it?
Amy glared once at Hilde before returning to her usual demeanor. "I am doing my best in ignoring it, seeing as it doesn't affect me or their capabilities negatively. Is there something else can I do for you, princess Hildegard von Krone?", Amy asked politely.
"You may call me just Hilde.", she simply requested. She did not always be constantly reminded of her royalty and this girls habit of always using the correct title was a bit unnerving.
And it seemed that Amy felt much the same way. "Then you may just call me Amy."
