Prompt:
Jade/Luke, control.
-
The boy,
the replica, is simply too dangerous to live. He has already destroyed a city.
And yet... he is trying so hard to undo seven years of bad habits, and he is
Jade's responsibility. That means that he will kill him if he must, but then
Luke would rather die than kill like that again (such nightmares! His first
creation was a monster, pure and simple, but Luke is not, although it would be
easier if he were).
It is easy enough to grasp hold of the reins that Van placed on this creature
to control it, the ones Luke escaped the hold of before when Van betrayed him.
But Luke realizes how dangerous he is, and yearns now for someone to control
him, to guide him, more than ever.
Jade invented fomicry, so Jade knows best, and Luke wants someone to know, to
understand, to tell him what to do so he won't kill again. Someone
who will hold him after a nightmare.
All it takes to earn Luke's love is to fake a little kindness. All it takes to
earn his insane devotion is a little discipline.
Jade despises teaching, but it is a means to an end. It increases his control
over Luke and Luke's control over himself. Finding out that Van used a keyword
to force Luke out of control raises his opinion of the boy, so when Luke asks
him if he can get rid of it he doesn't abuse the privilege too badly.
A phrase to shut down a hyperresonance, "that's enough,
Luke." Is obvious. At this level he can do
something about the nightmares, too, and Luke's one of their fighters, not to
mention he's stuck doing the shopping while the others rest in towns. He needs
his sleep.
Luke is already so eager to please he doesn't need to enforce it with hypnosis.
But he can tell certain things to Luke that would prompt unpleasant reactions
or automatic rejection on the conscious level. Or be embarrassing. "You're
a good boy. It's not your fault, but it is your responsibility, and you understand
that now. You're working very hard on this, and I... I may be proud of
you." He strokes Luke's now-short hair, the armor that protected that
frail neck gone now. "Tell me what you think of that." Because he
needs to gauge what Luke is able to hear. Luke would not tolerate platitudes,
he expects Jade to be harsher than Luke deserves.
"I love you, Jade," Luke tells him dreamily, looking at him with such
utter devotion.
Practicality and desire win out over irrelevant moral objections in an instant.
After all, what is immoral when it comes to preventing another disaster like class=GramE>that. "Luke, listen now. If you want me to..."
Molest? He dismissed the thought. "If you want to have sex with me, then
arrange for us to share a room alone at the next in and sit on my bed after
having removed everything but your undershirt."
Jade has some principles: he won't put any pressure on the boy and if he were
to express a desire Luke would want to fulfill it. And Luke would be too afraid
to offend Jade by asking.
So, when Luke innocently (or so he thinks) sits down next to Jade to apologize in
advance if he had nightmares Jade says they should try sharing a bed, as that's
what normal children with nightmares do.
Luke is a teenager, after all, and very excitable, so it's not a surprise that
he's half-hard when Jade arranges to slide a leg over (accidently, if there
were still some doubt).
The rest is easy to direct. After all, he knows where all Luke's buttons are
and can now proceed to install a few more of his own.
