“Ow ow ow.” Kairi stated holding her nose, she wore a pair of short shorts and a white tank top. She sported a bloody noise and had her head tilted back trying to keep the blood from flowing onto her gym outfit.
In gym they were playing what was supposed to be a friendly game of dodge ball but everything turned around as the other students seemed to think it would be funny to aim for her. What bothered Sora the most was that even the players on her team thought it would be fun to join in with the other team and hit Kairi from every angle. Sora followed her instructions and stayed out of it for the most part, up until he started catching the balls and throwing them back when Kairi hit the hard wooden gym floor. The teacher only bothered to break it up when it became apparent of her bleeding.
“I can’t believe that you put up with all of this…” Sora began. “Why didn’t you let me step in? I could have helped to stop all of it.”
“I hold you I can hanle it myelf.” Kairi stated holding her nose and messing up the words. “I wodn’t want you in houble cause of me.”
“It would have been trouble for them not me.” He stated confidently. ‘If I can kill the heartless why can’t I take a group of assholes in a game of dodge ball.’ He didn’t understand her at all, which could be because they both grew a little older but that didn’t matter. No one should have to put up with everything that she does. “You said I shouldn’t be mad but why am I? Oh I know,” Sora stated sarcasm dripping off of every word. “It’s because you shouldn’t have to deal with this…why do you?”
She didn’t say a word, not at first. There was an intense look on her face, showing anger, anxiety and fear. “It doesn’t matter…you’ll see soon enough.” He didn’t have a clue at what she had meant. The statement seemed to come out of air. “Just come in.” They arrived at the nurses office and they both walked in.
The nurse was a short, pudgy and flat out disgusting individual. Her face was covered in grease and her eyes seemed to bulge out of her head. Worst though was that between her eyes there was a large disgusting mole that sprouted a few hairs in it.
“GOD AGAIN!” The nurse screamed as she grabbed Kairi by the arm and dragged her into the back room and slammed a heavy wooden door. Her right hand flew off of her noise and blood splattered onto the clean linoleum floor. He couldn’t hear a word, just slightly muffled yells emitting from behind the door and what seemed to be cabinets slamming open and shut.
He became frightened for her and the life that she led. The courage that she had seemed to tower over his own. He felt his fist clench tight and hoped that the nurse prayed to god of the bitches that Kairi wasn’t being…punished.
After what seemed like centuries the two came out, Kairi’s makeup held, but tears adonned her face. The nurse gave a curt look to Sora. “Well she is fine now you can go back to class.” The tone that she used on Sora was kind, almost a polar opposite of what was displayed just a little earlier. She even had the nerve to smile at him and give a cold unforgiving glare to Kairi openly displaying her hatred for the young women crying her eyes out.
“I will leave when she leaves.” Sora stated, his face stone and cold. In her eyes Sora saw fear and disbelief, if a teacher could get away with such treatment then she must not be used to someone standing up to her for Kairi.
“No, you can go…you don’t have to wait for her.” The nurse replied. The disgust was clear, for whatever reason this entire school had it in for Kairi.
“Don’t you know who I think I am?” Sora stated taking a step forward and flexing his well developed muscles which he just discovered he had. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a small pocket knife he bought just before they got to school with some old money that he had in his pockets. “Here to cut the mole off of your forehead and get a wax you ugly bitch. She won’t be taking anymore of what you have to give out.” With that Sora grabbed Kairi’s wrist and pulled her out of the door and walked out the front doors to the school.
He leaned against the wall outside of the school and sighed heavily. He pulled Kairi into his chest and cradled the back of her head. She broke down without a word and let out muffled cries into Sora’s chest while he whispered words of comfort. For a while they left this world, they left all the other world’s behind and found a place of their own, hoping to spend eternity in it’s tranquility.
The bell rang signaling the end of the day and there call back to reality. It didn’t matter to Sora, but Kairi pulled away and took a few steps back. She smiled and stood still. He in took her figure, her firm body, long legs, perfect facial structure and benign smile. In a moment it faded as the other group of boys, judging from the school jerseys were blitzball players approach her.
None said a word, they just had a sick smile plastered on their faces. Kairi’s head was down and she didn’t say a word or even flinch as one wrapped their arms around her slender waist. Each seemed to whisper incentives into her ear as blush grew on her cheeks.
Sora began to think, there was something seriously wrong with destiny island and he might just have found it out, there shadows. The shadows were warped, bigger and somewhat gave off a wave of intensity. These individuals have given themselves to darkness, or the darkness has taken them, either way it wasn’t a good situation as Sora couldn’t use the keyblade. He didn’t want to kill the humans and release the heart.
Kairi took charge though and slapped one straight across the face. The crowd that had grown let out a low OOOOOh, trying to act shocked. What Sora saw elevated his anger, four more blitzball players came out of the crowd making it a total of eight and surrounded Kairi, each took turns pushing her until she fell down onto the ground.
Kairi stood up and swung at one, but he caught her fist and swung her around so her butt collided with his crotch, he groaned and Sora had seen enough. He charged and leapt high into the air falling back down he bared his fist on the back of his head. He fell down into the dirt face first and Sora tried looking all around himself at once.
“Knock it off Ya!” A voice called as a blitzball came threw the air and hit the boy that was holding Kairi in the back of the head. He fell forward and Sora took a hold of Kairi. Pulling her into his chest she kept her safe from what he thought was another asshole.
He was stunned though, it was Wakka, he didn’t have the cowlick anymore but instead it fell freely over his face. He wore a white tee-shirt and a jet black armless vest and a dark blue pair of jeans. The sun showed off his muscles and seemed to make them gleam. “Well if it isn’t the wanna be blitzer, want another beating boy?”
“If you mean a one on eight then no, but if you mean us kicking your ass then yes.” Another voice called out. Sora recognized it as Tidus. His hair was short and sandy blond, and his eyes were a deep blue that seemed to match the ocean. He held a surf board but thrusted it into the dirt and took off his belt and handed it to the girl standing next to him, which was Selphie.
“Leave Kairi alone.” Selphie stated placing her finger into the belt’s loop and cracking it down making a whipping noise. “Or someone will be whipped right here right now!”
The jocks didn’t budge for a moment. “Now Kairi, get to the side, let us handle this.” Sora whispered into her ear.
“No way.” She cried out. “I think I can take the one that I smacked!” In that moment Sora saw a different Kairi, this one was confident and lighthearted. She showed courage and held her head up high. ’Maybe its because of Wakka, Tidus and Selphie being here.’ Sora thought. ’When she isn’t alone she’s different…strong.’ Shaking the thoughts he glanced around, there were six on eight. The girls couldn’t take two but by the looks of Tidus, he probably could and so could he.
They sized up and the other few hundred students formed a human ring chanting FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT! “LET’S GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT!” The jock that took hold of Kairi cried.
The man that Sora wanted to fight had short spiked brown hair. He was toned and had a slight tan his name was Michael, the other one though was very pale and had almost light bright white hair, his name was Ian. Sora ran forward and rammed Michael with his shoulder sending him sprawling backwards. Ian took up charge and swung at him, he caught the fist and dodged the swift shot. While he continued forward Sora ran his right fist directly into his stomach. The jock that Sora struck in the stomach side stepped and another threw a fist and struck Sora across the face. ‘They attack in sync…this could be tough.’
Kairi knew the one that she was planning to fight, his name was Matt. He had short black hair and was fairly ugly. He had made many passes at her over the past year and everyone seemed to go a lot farther then the last. Sora’s reappearance, the support from her friends finally gave her the push she needed. Kairi walked forward swaying her hips, which almost made Matt drool, in a flash she was at his face and kneed him in the side of his leg, he almost fell over. Taking the opportunity Kairi leapt on his back and had her right arm holding his neck tightly. “FALL ASLEEP!” Kairi shouted.
Wakka ran at Brandon, the one that called him a Blitzer wannabe. Hurling his ball he struck him in the stomach , the ball easily weighed five to ten pounds to help control it underwater. Brandon doubled over but charged at Wakka so low that his head was at Wakka’s knees. At his legs Brandon sprung up and flipped Wakka through the air, he landed in the dirt and it let out a small ring of dirt to come out from under his body. Before anyone could react Wakka sprung up and charged forward knocking him with a swift right in the mouth making him bleed.
Selphie lifted the belt and charged. She didn’t know the boy and for all she cared his name could be penis. All she knew was he was the first to start shoving Kairi and for that he was going to pay. She swung the belt and struck the boy straight across his face. He hissed out of pain and stumbled backward and away from her. Keeping up the pace she cracked the belt down on his back and he straightened up. She then aimed for his eyes but he caught the belt and cracked her against the cheek. Selphie flipped threw the air and hit the ground hard. Dimly aware of Tidus crying out to her.
Tidus was on the ass end of a kicking. One of the jocks in the confusion had gotten behind him and was now holding him tightly, the other jock was on the offensive striking Tidus in the ribs, stomach and occasionally in the face. “THAT’S IT!” Tidus cried and leapt up in the air and threw his legs up striking the jock in the lower chin. He fell back and onto the ground. Letting himself fall Tidus threw his head back and struck the jock that held him in the groin. Breaking the hold he got up and raised his fist in an uppercut motion knocking another unconscious.
Selphie cried as the fist knocked against her face. “SELPHIE!” Tidus cried charging at the jock named Jason. He looked up just in time to catch Tidu’s arm coming into his throat. Jason did a flip through the air and hit the ground as Tidus brought his foot down on his stomach with the greatest of ease. He went over to Selphie and cradled her in his arms. They were out of the fight.
Kairi screamed as Matt began to swing his wieght around making her legs fly with him. She was having a harder time holding on as fatigue took over and the force made her fall off. ‘I’m in deep shit…’ She thought as a look of pure anger took over Matt’s face. He raced at her and took hold of her shirt, without effort he flung Kairi across the grass and into the waiting crowd. They caught her and pushed her back forward. Matt cocked his fist and struck her in the ribs then in the face, she went straight down on her stomach. Rolling over on her back she flipped up and kicked him in the ribs, Matt moaned and fell back.
Sora looked at his two aponents and it came to him, hit them both at once, or use the other as a body ram. Hitting Ian, Sora watched as he stumbled back. Just like last time Michael charged forward and threw a fist, catching it he knocked out Michael’s back knee and made him fall to the dirt, swinging him like a light child he hurled Michael into Ian. They both tumbled to the ground and Wakka, who had already finished his opponent leapt on their chest and struck both with his heel.
Matt regained his senses…mostly, he failed to notice that most of his friends were knocked out. He charged at Kairi and knocked her in the stomach, Kairi doubled over and saw him draw his steel toed boot back, but before anything else could be done she was shocked, Sora leaped frog over her and dropped kicked Matt. “Leave her alone.” Sora stated in a deadly cold voice. Everyone fell silent, no one bothered to stick up for Kairi, yet here he was.
“Let’s go.” Tidus stated lifting Selphie in his arms. “We won…and we need to get home, I’ve got a truck. Kai do you and your friend mind sitting in the back? There is only room for three in front.”
***At the old Island***
They sat on the sand, the boys pulled off their shirts and basked in the sun while the girls went to the old hut in an attempt to patch themselves up. “No way man.” Wakka stated sitting up and staring at Sora. “Is that you? After that storm a boy disapeared…two of them…your one aren’t you?”
Sora was shocked. He thought that they had all forgotten about him. ‘It’s your face and my noise ways.’ a voice in his head shot out. Sora understood instantly, it was Roxas. ‘Right on…I, I mean Namine and I unlocked their memories. They’ll start to remember, until then re-introduce yourselves, trust me friends will be very valuable in this upcoming fight.’ Sighing heavily Sora decided to listen. “my name is Sora, and yeah. I have a feeling that you two will remember soon.”
“I remember some now, I use to fight you…for fun. I don’t think you ever won.” Tidus stated with a very cocky grin.
“Wanna fight now? Let’s see if you losing will jog your memory.” Sora stated getting up and picking up and old wooden sword that they kept on the small island.
“UH…SORA COME HERE!” Selphie cried leaning out of the small hut. “WE COULD USE SOME HELP!”
“I guess you got lucky.” Tidus stated tossing down the sword he just picked up.
“He’d waste ya man.” Wakka yelled waving Tidus off. “Face it you aren’t good at all.”
Turning his back Sora took a light jog up to the hut. “What is it?” He asked not opening the door. If Kairi was getting bandaids on then she might not have a shirt on. ‘Get in there then.’ Roxas cried. ‘No way, I don’t want her to think that I’m a perv.’ Sora argued with himself.
‘She’s in love with you.’ Namine stated in her head. ‘Why would Selphie call you and not Tidus or Wakka? Chances are Kairi is embarrassed.’
‘If she likes me and is embarrassed then why would she chose me?’ Sora argues. ‘You’ld think that she wouldn’t want to be embarrassed in front of me.’
‘Your arguing with yourself.’ Roxas pointed off. ‘What kind of sane person would do that? Who’d do you think Namine?’
‘God fine I’m going.’ Sora stated. He could hear the laugh of Namine and Roxas deep in his head. ‘Yeah, I’m insane.’ Pushing the door open he saw that there was now a wood floor put in and there was a blanket underneath Kairi. She wasn’t wearing her shirt, but instead had tapping over her chest and ribs. “She said that she would be less embarrassed with you.” Selphie stated. Leaning into his ear she whispered “She likes you and wants to spend a little time with you.”
In his head he heard the smug voice of Namine ‘Told you so.’ “Oh, okay.” Kneeling down next to her he lifted her up to her feet. “Let’s go outside, it’s beautiful.”
Kairi blushed at Sora’s forwardness and asked Selphie to get rid of Wakka and Tidus. She didn’t argue and walked out. It wasn’t long until they heard the boat’s paddles hit the water. “I remember the bridge that led to the hill we use to sit on and watch sunsets, lets live in the past for a little while.” In silence they took a seat on the old tree.
“Thanks Sora.” Kairi stated resting her head on his shoulder
“For what?”
“For being you.” Sora turned to Kairi and they shared a quick kiss. Immediately after she turned away blushing. ‘Maybe acting like a tease will loosen him up a bit.’ He sighed and laid down on her lap, just enjoying the silence and the way the wind cooled their bodies and flew threw her hair. “Where do you think Riku is right now?”
“Behind you.” A familiar voice called out.
AN:// yeah I’m a jackass for leaving the cliffy. The next chapter will be all about Riku and the chapter after that they will start going to planets trying to figure out the mystery that is organization 13. Leave reviews.
