Turn Up the Heat
Author's note: I'm so very, very sorry this took a long time to get up, but there was Christmas going on, so I played a lot of video games and stuff, on top of some personal problems I had that unmotivated me. However, I appreciate all the reviews and hits I've gotten and I further thank anyone who's interested enough in my story to continue reading it, even after such a long pause!

Sonic tossed and turned in his bed, the bedsheets rolling up over him and leaving the mattress bare. He groaned in his sleep. He had been restless all night. Even in his dreams, the blue hedgehog slept poorly. Mumbles of incomprehendable words muttered through his mouth whenever he wasn't groaning painfully. Tails sat up on the bed, his ears laying back as he attempted to shake his friend awake. Sonic occasionally had nightmares, anyways, but he never liked talking about them and they had become more frequent lately.
~~~
A young, short blue hedgehog opened the front door to his house slowly, peering in cautiously. No lights were on in the home and it was completely quiet. Quickly entering and closing the door as quietly as possible, Sonic scampered up the stairs, to his bedroom and closed and locked the door. Sighing in relief, he tossed the backpack he had on from school on his bed, but then didn't hear it land. He turned his head to the right, squinting his eyes to see in the dark room.
Sonic's father held the backpack in his hands, having caught it and silently laid it on the floor infront of himself. Soon after, he patted the area next to him and Sonic hesitantly sat down next to him. His father looked mostly like him, simply bigger and a few scars on his arm and one on his cheek. The young blue hedgehog seemed uncomfortable and jittery. Slowly, the father figure hugged his son with one arm, pulling him in closely, the other hand squeezing and massaging the little one's chest. The kid gasped, but he knew if he tried to run, he'd be stopped, then beaten.
Smirking, the older man kisses his son's cheek, "I got a phonecall today..." His voice was deep and raspy, making the young one cringe.
"I know..." was all Sonic could say. He knew what it was. Earlier, Knuckles had stolen a candy bar from him at lunch and it eventually broke down into a fight. They got called to the office and their parents were phonecalled, although instead of sending him home, he was instead punished to spend the rest of the day with Knuckles and a teacher observing them, giving them work they had to help one another on. The hedgehog knew he'd be in trouble, that's why he tried to sneak inside. He was too afraid to simply run away, thinking his dad might catch him and be punished even worse.
Pushing the boy down, the father pinned Sonic down in a helpless position, "You need to be punished." The blue kid whimpered and turned his head, his eyes closed, but Father held his face and forced it to remain forward, pressing his lips againts his son's harshly, forcefully shoving his tongue inside, making tears drip down Sonic's cheeks. Suddenly, the boy felt a slick hardness rub againts his legs, but it wasn't from himself. Crying loudly, he received a slap from his dad, instantly quieting him.
"Shut up, girl!" Father yelled angrily, then smirking and having a sinisterly happily look on his face. "My little girl."
Then, with no hesitation or warning, Father thrusted deeply, tearing the poor young one's insides and not caring about any screams Sonic attemped, as they were all muffled away by deep kisses. All he could feel was pain as his crazed dad continuously thrusted, raping merciessly.
'But, but I'm not a little girl! And, and...' Sonic couldn't think straight to himself, the pain, sadness and confusion mixing up in his mind. He felt gross inside, because a part of him, even if a very small part, liked this happening to him. Sonic tried his best to force his mind to think otherwise, as his father screamed in pleasure as his orgasm was met.
~~~
Suddenly raising up, knocking Tails back without thinking, causing the fox to roll off of the bed and on the ground next to it with a painful 'Oof!' He couldn't see anything, it was all blurred with tears and even his insides hurt, as if the dream was real. All Sonic kept doing was screaming and thrashed on the bed. Quickly, Tails jumped on top of the bed and tried his best to hold his best friend down, licking the tears out of his eyes, but only because it was all he could to, with his hands and legs holding the flailing hedgehog down.
"Sonic! Calm down, please!" the fox begged. "What's wrong?!"
Tails was too weak to hold down his friend for long, but he was lucky enough that the thrashing stopped and Sonic began to calm, simply trying to catch his breath. Eventually, he sighed, nodding to himself, thankful it was only a dream. Then, he hugged his fox friend tightly, bringing it up to his chest, then cried into his neck fur, mattening it up with his tears. All the two-tailed kid could think of to do was just hug.
"I'm not a girl, I'm not a girl..." Sonic repeated continuously to himself, rocking in his friend's hugging arms.
He blinked, the fox kid not really sure what was going on in his friend's head. Suddenly, Sonic flipped the two of them over, now being on top of Tails, beginning to nuzzle his friends' neck deeply, chewing on the fur and tugging. The young fox whimpers and tried to push the bigger blue male off, but he wasn't quite strong enough.
"Sonic, please..." Tails begged softly inbetween whimpers.
"But, Tails!" Sonic protested loudly, "I'm not gay, because you're a girl!"
'Are you confused, or am I?' the orange furry creature thought to himself. He didn't know, so all he could do was scream before Sonic kissed him deeply, forcing Tails to be quiet againts the wet tongue. Tears softly fell from his eyes and matted the fox's cheek fur. Eventually, the kid felt something hard rub on his thigh. Hardly even thinking, Tails closed his eyes and did what his instincts told him to do right there.
Suddenly, Sonic shot up on his knees, breaking the kiss with his partner under him, screaming in pain. Instantly afterwards, a sharp slap was met on Tails' cheek and the blue hedgehog spat blood from his mouth on the floor.
"You fucker!" Sonic yelled down to the fox. "You bit my tongue!"
"Sonic, I-I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking! I-" Tails tried to explain quickly, his voice full of fear and haste, but he was quickly interrupted with another slap, causing him to whimper loudly. Lucky for him, though, before things could get any worse, a loud, annoyed knock was heard at Sonic and Tails' door.
"Will you two SHUT THE HELL UP?!" a familiar voice yelled at the door angrily.
Growling softly to himself, Sonic climbed off the bed and then stepped towards the door. Before he opened it, though, he took a deep breath, stretched his arms and neck for a short moment, put on his standard smile and opened the door.
"Heya, Shadow!" Sonic said cheerfully, opening the door only wide enough for his face to be seen. "What're you doing up so late, you crazy guy? Some people try to sleep once in awhile, ya' know!"
"Exactly," the black hedgehog hissed out simply, then grabbed the doorknob and slammed the door shut, causing the blue boy behind it to jump slightly out of surprise. But, atleast the black faker went off again, Sonic hearing Shadow's door close nearby, so he shrugged and turned back to Tails.
Sighing, Sonic smiled and looked to Tails, "Well, now that he's gone..."
Whimpering loudly, Tails sat up and crawled back, his back againts the wall and he hid behind his tails, as if it'd protect him. The fox heard footsteps approach him and a white-gloved hand grabbed his twin tails and moved them down, revealing the little kid's face, make-up smeared from tears and slaps, a small bruise under his eye where he was slapped.
"But, hm, I'd like to do it somewhere else, it'd be too noisy here," Sonic pointed out, though it seemed as if he was talking to himself, rather than Tails. Afraid, he decided to say nothing in return for his hero, if Sonic could still be called that. He grabbed the fox's shoulder and pulled him up, forcing him to walk behind the hedgehog as he made his way to the kitchen, poured out a drink into a glass from a bottle sitting on the counter and handed it over.
"Drink this and we'll be on our way," Sonic ordered calmly.
"Wh-where're we going?" Tails frightenly asked.
He smirked in response, "Just a nice... camping trip, I think."
---
Shadow laid softly on his bed, soundly and peacefully asleep in his apartment. A smile was even on his face, a good dream in his mind. Then, a loud and repetitive knock began on his door, the black hedgehog instantly waking up and flailing in surprise on his bed, rolling off and landing on his face on the ground. Growling, he stood up and walked to his door, opening it quickly with an angry face.
"WHAT?!" the black hedgehog practically yelled in the face of a pink blur, his eyesight still not having adjusted quite yet in the morning daylight.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Shadow! Were you having a good dream?" a voice asked with interest, that annoying high-pitched sound could only be cursed on one living creature on the planet, Amy Rose.
"An excellent one," he answered quickly.
"Aw, that's so adorable! How about some cookies? I made them myself, just for you!" Amy then held up a bag, the smell of freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies. 'Damn it,' Shadow thought. 'No matter how annoying she is, her cooking is the best.'
Shadow sighed and grabbed the brown bag and laid it down on a drawer next to the door, then looked back to the hot-pink girl, "Was that all you came here for?"
She then looked down to the ground in a sad and worried way, very much unlike her usual attitude and appearance, "Well, no... I wanted to talk to you about something."
Taking a more serious look, Shadow placed a hand softly on Amy's shoulder and waved for her to come inside, which she did so. They then both took a seat on his black couch, looking to each other in the eyes.
"It's about Tails," Amy finally spoke after a long, awkward silence.
"Is he alright?!" the black one asked quickly, sitting on the edge of the couch in an instant, but a moment later, he embarrassingly sat back calmly and cleared his throat. "I mean... what's happened?"
Amy giggled, catching the intense interest in Tails' status, but she didn't press that particular aspect further. "Well... A couple days ago, Tails and I spent a day together and, uhm..."
"And what?" Shadow asked impatiently, wanting to get to the point.
She hesitated for a moment, thinking. Amy had come here wanting Shadow's help in this situation, but should she spill the beans and ignore Tails' privacy?
"Oh, it's probably nothing!" she giggled and held a hand over her smiling lips. "But I think Sonic might be acting a little mean to Tails."
Shadow scoffed and crossed his arms, "That jerk isn't that nice to begin with. What's your point?"
"What're you talking about?!" Amy asked with a sudden burst of anger, but it quickly faded into girlish school girl love. "He's cute, he's blue, he's fast, he's strong! Oh!"
All Shadow did was twitch an eye a little as Amy complimented the blue faker, but she eventually stopped and continued, "Anyways, I don't think it's anything major, but Tails has been acting weirder than usual! He's not as interested in mechanics lately, so I just thought I'd ask you if you could help me look into it and make sure they're both fine?"
The dark hedgehog closed his eyes and sighed. He did like Tails, he admitted to himself. He's a nice kid and a good friend, Shadow couldn't just sit back and let things go if the fox kid was crossdressing around and, even worse, spending time with Amy and becoming an amazing cook at a costly price.
"Alright, alright," Shadow agreed with subtle annoyance in his voice, standing up and then pacing in front of the couch. "But, where should we start?"
Amy stood up on her feet and clapped her hands happily together, "I was thinking I could go find them on their camping trip and bringing them fresh vanilla pudding and a pair of pretty pink dresses!"
Before Shadow could comment on the pink dresses, his eyes widened, "Camping trip?"
Amy blinked and held her hands down to her sides, "Yeah, camping trip! Would you like to go with me on one? Jeez, Shadow, you're so blunt!" She giggled and blushed, her cheeks going from pink to slightly red, "But you know I'm in love with Sonic."
"No!" the red-quilled hedgehog growled. "Did you say they're going on a camping trip?"
"Oh! Yes, I did," she answered. "I saw it on a note at their front door. It wouldn't be Sonic to bother taking the time for a note, he's too impatient." Amy sighed lovingly before continuing. "So, it must've been Tails."
Shadow furrowed his eyebrows and leaned againts a wall, "Alright. The only decent nearby place to camp is the same place me and Tails went to together, the forest. So, go look for them there." Then, Shadow walked to his front door, opened it and began to walk away. But... he turned around and grabbed the brown bag of cookies after a moment's though on the porch. Damn those delicious things.
"But, where are you going?" Amy asked worriedly, holding her hands up under her chin with a purse dangling on her wrist.
"I'm going to do something that you can't do," he answered. "Besides, you shouldn't be walking around in the streets by yourself. So, go find Tails, I'll find you later when I'm done."
Amy nodded and Shadow instantly became a blur, disappearing with his super speed. Not wasting time, Amy... well, okay, maybe we can waste a little time. She hummed happily to herself, picking it up as she danced her way to the kitchen and singing softly to herself, helping herself to Shadow's purchased goods and began to stir up some ingredients from a box labled "chocolate cake". It'll make a nice gift to bring to Tails and Sonic, she thought.
---
Shadow had crept along the city, making his way down to where he had last seen that strange man in an overcoat with Sonic. The hedgehog didn't know what he was expecting exactly, or if the guy would show up, but all he knew was he'd probably have to wait until it was night. He had to find out who that person was and what Sonic was doing. This was the only lead and clue he had, so Shadow had to take it. What if it was some kind of special set-up meeting? Then the overcoat man wouldn't show up. Or what if he constantly changed location? There were so many possibilities.
The black hedgehog set the brown bag infront of him and slowly began nibbling on the treats, waiting patiently, perched up on top of the same building he was on before, looking down into the alley...
---
Time passed and it was now dark, Shadow just having finished the last cookie. He sighed, crumpled the bag up and threw it into the alley. Having just given up, the hedgehog decided he had better stop pissing time away and go catch up with Amy.
"Ack- HEY!" an angry voice boomed down from the alley. Instantly, Shadow turned and saw that strange man in the overcoat again, shaking a fist.
'Huh?!' Shadow widened his eyes, surprised that the person was there. Maybe he dozed off on accident and the guy arrived then. 'Whatever, at least the bastard's here.' With that, he hopped down in front of the stranger.
"Ah, Sonic. You're here at a strange time, you usually don't come for a couple more weeks," the man sounded suspicious, obviously unable to tell apart the darker hedgehog and the blue one in such darkness. He was also fat.
"I'm not that blue faking bastard," Shadow responded. 'So, Sonic comes to this person regularly for something. I've only been with this guy for seconds and I'm finding things out.'
"Huh?! Who are you?" the fat man asked, backing away a few steps and holding his hands up.
"I'm Shadow. Shadow the Hedgehog," he answered with obvious intense anger in his voice. "And I'm here to ask you questions, such as what your relation is with Sonic and what he comes to you for."
"Hah!" the fat man gave a hoarse laugh. "You think you can get me to answer you?!"
The hedgehog instantly blurred forward and slammed a fist into the fat man's gut, then whispered into his ear, "Well, if not, you'd make a good punching bag."
An attempt to push the hedgehog off was made, though Shadow simply quickly leaped back and slid on the ground forward, intending to kick the overcoat man's legs and trip him. But, before he could get the hit, a metallic shield broke through the ground and blocked it. It didn't stop arising from the cement, breaking up the ground and making intense noise. As it rose up, it carried the stranger with him and with it all the way out of the ground, Shadow could make out its' shape. It looked like a giant robot version of the grim reaper, complete with scythe and black clothes. The object that blocked his kick from before must've been the blade.
It floated off in the distance with the man riding on it and Shadow wasted no time, leaping inbetween the alley walls to avoid the hole in the ground that had been made and then landed on safe ground, racing to chase the fleeing man. The hedgehog barely even noticed it when they had ran out of the city and into an empty field, far away from civilization enough for something big to happen unnoticed. No cops seemed to be coming, either.
The fat man's disgusting laugh rang through the air, "I don't know who you are, you freak, but I know what you are!"
Scowling, "And what's that?" Shadow looked around. Nothing he could use as a weapon, looks like it'll have to be done the old-fashioned way.
"Dead! Meet my latest and greatest creation yet, the Egg Reaper!"
The giant reaper then hovered lower to the ground, holding the scythe with metal bony arms and raised the weapon up, heading in Shadow's direction.

Author's Note: I'm sorry this took awhile to write. I'll try to bring the next chapters up more quickly and I hope this was enjoyable to read.
