The tower
A/N: Okay, this is a crossover with Sacred Stones, which helps me explain a lot of stuff. I already know this chapter isn't the greatest, it's just a filler, you'll understand when I put up the next chapter.
“Move out!” Ike ordered his troops on the rainy afternoon, as they trudged through the mud toward the enemy stronghold. “Soren, what do you think this place is? Why is the Daien army here?”
Soren turned to his commander. “I am not too sure about all of this, but it appears as if Duke Oliver didn’t die during that fight five years ago. He is raising his own army out of the strongest warriors that he can find; that is what we know at the most. My guess is that like any army general he will need solders, and merely brought back the Daien forces. The ones in the black armor are likely to be solders that escaped Crimea and Princess Elincia.”
“How do you know all of this, Soren?” Ike questioned. He was making sure that they were far ahead of the others, not wanting to give out any information if it even had the slightest chance of being incorrect.
“Past records that I found in the Crimea library. Long ago, there was a demon king that was resurrected by a neighboring nation, and to do it they needed to destroy these odd stones to ensure the demon’s safety. Anyway, with the demon’s chaotic energy, they managed to bring the dead to life, but they were monsters. The old countries banded together and they sealed the demon in Mist’s medallion. This brings us to the current date. It is my guess that since the demon has been sealed so long, he has weakened and seeks to be freed from his prison. This could be Duke Oliver’s motion, to free him once and for all. Without the Sacred Stones, we will not be able to imprison him.”
Ike thought for a moment. “And Mist still has her medallion. Now that she is with us, she is vulnerable but untraceable.”
“Correct,” Soren stated. “This is all just a theory, though, so don’t get your hopes up with this being right or anything.”
Ike shook his head at his co-commander and strategist. “We’re almost there,” Ike whispered as they slowed down and allowed the others to catch up. “Alright, because of the mud, the horses will have trouble moving. Oscar, Mist, I want you to stay toward the back. Nephenee, Boyd, Mia, I want you to go ahead and scope out the area and let me know what you see.” The three nodded and ran off ahead. “Alright, Soren, what would you suggest be the formation?”
“According to the archives in the Crimea library,” Soren began, “they hate fire magic. I will be toward the front with Mia and Lucia; speed is more important here than brute strength. Depending on the layout, Marcia will fly up and throw down spears. Simple, isn’t it?”
“What’s up with you?” Oscar asked Soren when they were away from the others. “What’s the matter? You’ve been real weird lately… and self-conscious.”
“You’re my problem,” Soren stated simply.
“Lucia?” Oscar asked, he too was confused as to what she was up to.
“The one woman I like, you swoop in and take,” Soren said, taking out his tomb. “Just stay away from me.” Soren then stalked off. Jumping off of his horse, Oscar gave chase.
“Will you listen?” Oscar asked with his normal squinty look. “She likes the both of us… both! Meaning I stole nothing from you, Soren. Look, just talk to her later on, will you?” Soren just stared at the paladin with a thoughtful look before curtly nodding.

“Hey, Ike?” Marcia called out from above. Slowly, she lowered down her horse and let herself off in front of the lord. “Can we talk after the fight?”
Ike always found that by reading someone’s expression, you could guess what he or she would want or often how important the subject was to the individual. But now, Marcia looked real worried and her face was slightly pale. “We can talk now, if you like. If we wait, it would be on your mind while you fight, and that could be bad,” Ike replied, looking for Boyd and the others. ‘Still not back.’
“Well, two nights ago.... Remember what I said?” Marcia asked with hope in her eyes.
“That love can grow between two individuals?” Ike questioned.
“That is right,” Marcia said with a very wide and silly grin on her lips. “Did you… you know… feel anything?” Ike didn’t know what to do. With him and Titania, it was always a ‘bang and go on with your day’ type thing, never a ‘stick around and chat while cuddling.’ Still, a part of him cried out to say yes, that while they were apart he was thinking of her, and not just the whole hot sex part. Something that he couldn’t explain. It existed with Lethe as well.
“Well… yeah. It’s something that I have never felt before… I don’t really know what it is. I haven’t felt this.” ‘Well, I get that queasy feeling in my stomach, and they make me feel like… I dunno… warm.’ Shaking the thoughts out of his head, he quickly kissed Marcia. “There is something,” he stated, wrapping his arms around her slender waist. “I don’t know what it is. Just don’t hope for too much, though. We have to fight soon, so get going, alright?” Ike ordered the young pink-haired woman, and like a solider she obeyed him. He watched as she soared through the skies and temporarily block out the sun from his eyes.
Ike unsheathed his sword and held it at the ready as he heard something like footsteps closing in on him. The bushes rustled and Ike broke down into his fighting stance. The figure leapt out with a howl; it held an axe on its shoulder and had large shapely build. The figure swung its axe as Ike raised his sword. The weapons collided with a large clang, and the metal scraped together as the figure laughed. With a heave, Ike shoved the figure off, and as soon as the sun hit its face, Ike saw Boyd. “Scared you, didn’t I?” he asked with a stupid grin on his lips.
“If you were smart, you wouldn’t try to do this kind of thing to me, Boyd,” Ike stated simply, a scowl on his face. “What did you three find out?”
“There are about fifty enemies total. About twenty Daien solders, and they got thirty of those… things with them guarding the door,” Boyd began. “Nephenee found something, though. It was a large stone tablet; apparently, this place is called the Tower of Valni. To our best estimations, there are ten floors, and each floor has more and more of those monsters on it. Based on experience, the farther that we go up, the tougher the monsters will become.”
“Good job. You, Lethe, Mia, Nephenee, and I will be on the front lines. Gatrie, Lucia, and Oscar will sweep left. Mist, Boyd, Soren, and Ranulf will sweep right. Marcia, I want you to be on top with a bird’s-eye view. Let us know if there are any more of them coming and where the bulk of them appear to be coming to attack. Does anyone have any questions?” When no one shook their head, they crouched down in the bushes, patiently waiting for everyone to get into their positions.
The bushes on the left shook, as did the right. ‘Five, six, seven, eight, nine -- NOW!’ Ike thought as they all jumped out at once, surprising the enemy. Quickly, everyone took out one of the monsters before they could even manage to react. ‘This is far too easy,’ he thought. ‘Whoever is up in that tower… wants us up there.’
“WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!” a nameless solder shouted out. “ALERT THE BOSS! NOW, MEN -- CHARGE!”
The Daien solders pulled down their ebony black helmets and charged, the monsters right behind them. “THEY’RE GOING FOR THE CENTER!” Marcia called out. Ike nodded and braced himself. Three solders went for Mia, two monsters for Ike, Lethe had three, and Nephenee had one.
Ike flipped through the air and cut one of the monsters in half. “They really are this easy,” he said out loud and sent his sights on the second one. If the monster could curl its lips into a smile, it just did at Ike. Growling fierily at him, it charged at a speed that Ike has only seen in Lethe. The monster raked its claws across Ike’s skin, leaving three deep gashes down his chest. Ike winced in pain as he jumped back. Swinging his sword, he sliced the monster’s arms off and watched as it bled to death on the ground.
Nephenee dashed and easily cut through the monster that was before her. Another Halberdier charged at her and swung his giant heavy spear, which she easily leapt over. Landing on her knees, she stabbed the solder through the stomach and winced as it went straight through and out of the other side of the man.
Lethe was before the monster. Something was odd about them. Although it looked like their flesh was rotting, she could smell that it was alive, that they were living beings, not monsters or the dead. Even worse was even though they looked to be the same, she could tell that they were different. With her eyes, she could tell that the way they stood -- foot placement and even the way that they let their hands hang they were different creatures -- that one was far stronger then the other. ‘Not a problem,’ she thought. “Die,” she stated and leapt over and behind them. Slashing one with her claw, it flopped onto the ground feebly. Another charged recklessly and Lethe took him down within the time that it took someone to blink. Smiling to herself, she charged and easily took out the last one.
Quickly, Mia slid across the ground and landed at the feet of a Daien solder. Leaping high into the air, she easily cut him down. The other two charged her in a rage, swinging their swords with great precision. ‘They’re fast,’ she thought as it was all she could do to block and dodge. Another solder charged with is spear and she leapt out of the way. Swinging her sword up, she cleaved the spear in two and sliced open his helmet, leaving a giant cut in his face. Kicking up the spear of his fallen comrade, the other solder cast it at her, slicing her left leg wide open. He then charged and sliced the side of her ribs, ripping her shirt open and sending blood down the side of her leg. She screamed and fell to the ground. The solder now loomed over her, his sword held over his head, ready to dish out the finishing blow.
Hearing the scream, Ike leapt in front of Mia, taking the sword and adding another deep cut to his chest. He fell to the ground as the pool of blood beneath him began to grow. Kicking up the broken spear, he tossed it and skewered the solder before more damage could be done. The solder let out a gargled noise that sounded like a curse word before he fell to the ground, no longer breathing.
“Ike…” Mia gasped out, pushing down her pain she crawled over to her commander and collapsed next to him. They stared into each other’s eyes. “Thank you… for saving me.”
Two more solders charged at Mia and Ike. Too weak to stand, they began to back away. “You stood up to five feral lords,” one solder stated, the sun gleaming off of his black armor. “You did very good. I commend you… but like all of our enemies, you must die.” Hoisting the lance high in the air, Ike watched in astonishment as it flew straight out of his hands. Looking to the rear, Ike found Titania standing there, her tomahawk flying back toward her. Marcia picked up her javelin and cast it straight down into the second solder. Ranulf easily sank his teeth into another solder and took his life before anyone had time to react.
“Get back!” Lethe hissed. Using Ike as a crutch, the pair wandered back to Mist. Boyd easily cut down the enemies that got within ten feet of him, and Soren blew them away with his wind magic. Looking over to Lucia, Oscar, and Gatrie, he saw Gatrie take the front and easily skewer the enemy with his spear. Oscar would then swoop in from the side and with Lucia would cut down two at a time when they came in from opposite sides of Gatrie.
“BROTHER!” Mist cried. Soren turned and found both Ike and Mia half awake and barely walking. The lines of solders thinned, and it wouldn’t harm anyone if Soren and Mist took some time to heal the pair of swordfighters. Mist lunged at her brother with her staff, quickly healing the wounds; Soren did the same to Mia. “Stay put. After this fight, we are going back to the camp. Understand?” Soren instructed before he ran off to fight another charging unit.
The wounds still felt very raw on the two swordfighters as everyone walked back to camp. “Don’t worry,” Soren said to a very tired-looking Ike. “I’ll tell you what, Titania has to report after you and Mia get some rest.” Ike nodded and limped off to his tent. Lying down on his cot, he closed his eyes and slept soundly.

He was on a large beach; it was warm and incredibly comfortable. Behind him were palm trees and a small house with a plush bed and had a warm fire going in it. Ike lay down in a stretched-out chair on the beach. To his left was a beautiful woman with long, flowing blonde hair that cascaded down to her rear. She had clear sky-blue eyes and soft pink lips, as well as an hourglass figure and wide hips with shapely well-muscled legs. Her chest was large, but not to a humorous degree. ‘Not only am I trapped on the beach with no fighting, but there is a beautiful woman with me?’ Ike thought with a small smile.
He rose from his chair and walked down to a small bridge that went over a creek. He sighed and watched the fish that swam up and down. He continued to walk and came upon a large waterfall. The noise of the water hitting the rocks did something to Ike that nothing has done for a while: it made him relax.
With another large yawn, he closed his eyes, and when he reopened him he was in the house down by the beach in his boxer shorts. The large bed had soft violet sheets that felt as if they were made out of silk. There were four large bedposts that had sheets hung on them, slung shut around the bed. Sitting up, he saw the silhouette of a figure standing outside.
Pulling them apart, he saw the brunette woman that lounged next to him on the beach. With a smile and a giggle, she shoved him back onto the bed. Before his eyes, the brunette’s hair changed. It became short and much fuller; it also changed to a light red, almost orange color. Her legs grew a little longer, her breasts shrunk to a “B” but were still very nice, and her eyes went from a sky blue to a violet color. “LETHE!” Ike cried out before scurrying back under his bed. “I DIDN’T SEE ANYTHING!”
Lethe yanked the sheets back and smiled to Ike. She now wore her regular outfit: the short green skirt; the light, almost see-through top; and the bells that wrapped around her neck. “I want you to see.”
She ran her fingertips down her neck and over her shoulders, slowly pulling down the straps to her shirt and let it slowly fall down to the floor. “Oh, yeah,” Ike stated. He must have said it loudly, as Lethe laughed and put her fingers on her nipples, tracing small circles, making the pink area erect. She threw her head back and moaned as she pinched and pulled. She panted for a minute, then let her hands come down onto her stomach. Slowly, her nails ran against the muscles of her stomach and down to her green miniskirt.
She had little hair on her body, other than that her head and the small trim bush of pubic hair. Walking up to the bedpost, she pressed herself up against it and spun around before sticking her ass out in front of Ike and giving it a fierce smack, leaving a small red mark.
Lethe grinned seductively and pulled Ike’s boxers off of him and flung them off of the side of the bed. Pushing him manhood down, she laid on top of him. Ike could feel her nipples poking his chest and the same delightful pressure being pushed against his manhood. She laid on him so her face was inches from his. Closing her eyes, she began to close the distance between them, lips centimeters apart now.
“Big brother?” Mist asked as Ike opened his eyes. Once again, he was on the cot that he first laid on when he was originally hurt. Groaning, he sat up and looked toward his sister.
“How are you feeling?”
“Good. How long was I out? What time is it? What has everyone been up to? How’s Mia?”
“Slow down. Alright. You were out for three days. It’s nine at night. Everyone has been going back and forth from the camp to the tower. Mia is fine; Ranulf has been keeping a close eye on her. But Lethe and Marcia…” Mist began with a nod. At his left side sat the Laguz, who had her head on his cot, fast asleep, and Marcia, who was in a similar position. Mist’s demeanor changed to a very sad one in a moment’s notice. “And Titania wants to talk to you. You should rest for the rest of the night, though; it will have to wait until you get better,” Mist stated as she walked back out of her brother’s tent.
Ike threw his head back onto his pillow and let out a long low sigh. “You had us real worried, handsome,” a beautiful voice called out from the side of his bed.
“Marcia,” Ike rasped, his voice raw from the three-day nap/coma he took. “How have you been?”
“Fine. Oh,” Marcia stated with her head snapping up, “she,” using her thumb, Marcia pointed to Lethe who appeared to be dozing peacefully, “wanted some time alone with you.... Let me know how everything goes.” With that, she rose up and walked out of the front of the tent.
Ike wondered what Marcia meant. ‘How everything goes… does she know what Lethe wants with me?’ Gently, he brushed the front of her bangs out of her face, revealing peaceful features.
“Like what you see?” she asked without bothering to open her eyes. Ike’s hand shot back out of surprise and Lethe smiled at him. Finally, her eyes opened, making her smile all that much more alluring. Without a word, she climbed into his bed and nuzzled closely to him. “Go to sleep; you need it.... What we have to say to you will not make you happy.”
A/N: Sorry for the cliffy; I had to. Anyway, the Ike and Lethe lemon is in the next chapter. There’ll be another Ike and Marcia in a later chapter. Oh, and also there will be the Oscar/Lucia/Soren one.
There will also be an explanation as to what’s in the tower and Titania’s report on Greil’s little grave robbery.
Leave a review, and I promise I will type faster.
