Chapter 4: Eternal Rivals
"I'm better!"
"No way, I am!"
The sounds of two people arguing could be heard throughout all of the building and even into town, had the doors and windows been open. But as it was, the two noises echoed loudly in Snidne's office, as Twonk and Dooley were standing on opposite sides of the room, each one giving the other a glare. Snidne was sitting at his desk, wearing his usual black attire, with a worn look on his face.
"Damn it you two, can you stop arguing for all of two seconds!?"
"Not until Twonk admits that I am the better thief" Dooley said.
"No way! If anything, I'm twice the thief you'll ever be" came Twonk's reply.
Personally Snidne hardly cared which of them was better. Twonk stole lots of ramen, and Dooley stole lots of cheese. In the beginning, each of them were constantly trying to outdo each other, stealing more and more to prove who was better. And Snidne easily profited off of this silly arguement. But now it was beginning to be tedious, often ending up in shouting matches that Snidne had to, more then once, break apart.
Dooley had not dreamed anything more about Snidne ever since that careless fantasy she had. In fact, she could look Snidne directly in the face and see only her boss, nothing more. In the end, she dismissed the whole thing as nothing more then a quick random thought that emerged from her particular 'condition' she was in at the time. Besides, now she had other things on her mind.
"I could steal truckloads of ramen in my sleep. There's no way you could do the same!" Twonk said confidently smirking.
"Well then maybe you should do it, then you can get one step closer to actually being in the same league as me," Dooley responded, clearly pleased that she had wiped the look of confidence off his face,
"DAMN IT, THAT'S ENOUGH!" Snidne shouted striking the desk hard with his left fist, the wood probably breaking under the force if he used his right one. The sudden shout from their leader, as well as the bang that was heard made each of the thieves jump to attention. "I've had just about enough of all this nonsense from you two!"
"He started it-" Dooley began, before Twonk interjected.
"Me!? As if! Your just jealous cause I've been on the team longer."
"I said that's enough!" Snidne said again, his voice rising. "You two have get along if your going on this mission! I need you to infiltrate Durem and find something..."
Durem was a modern town, unlike the more countryside view of Barton Town. It held a grand church and courthouse, where Ian had been tried and proclaimed innocent for the crime of arson on the Gambino Mansion on Gambino Isle. Here too was a Mansion run by the Gambino family, where once stood the mansion of the Von Helsen Sisters. Anne and Marie Von Helsen were known as the daughters of the second most powerful man in Gaia, and during a time when Gambino had lost everything on a gamble, they were known as the two most powerful women in Gaia.
It was just before Apirl Fools Day, that the sisters invited people over for an early celebration. Gambino, who had lost his own mansion during the previous Halloween, came by trying to spread his nearly destroyed name with his son. His own son had lost all memory of him in the tragic event on Halloween, leaving him as nothing more then a mindless vegetable. And when the Von Helson sisters tried to take his son from him, Gambino agreed to their terms to leave and never return for his own son's safety.
Then, on April Fools Day, a tower emerged where Gambino's mansion once resided. Having collected donations from several Gaians, Gambino built the tower from which he could once again reclaim his rightful position. In that moment of power, Gino regained his memory and father and son were reunited once more. But Fate stepped in, as a mysterious sniper appeared on the top of the Clocktower in Durem and shot Gambino, forcing him to fall into the sea. And when Gambino fell, his tower fell, taking down the Von Helson's mansion and mysteriously leaving another in it's place.
Standing on the rooftops of Durem, Twonk and Dooley were looking down into the streets, searching for their target. Well, at least Dooley was searching. Twonk was gazing up at the sky.
"Twonk, can you at least try to pay attention?"
Twonk faked a look of annoyance. "Oh come on, it's not like it's that important. Besides, I can handle this easy. You'd just slow me down."
"Now that's it! I'm just as good, if not better, at this and you know it!"
"Oh really miss, high and mighty Cheese Ninja. If your so good, how come we caught you trying to steal from our vaults?"
"I was just careless!" Dooley said, flushing. "Besides, it's not like you've done any better."
As the two argued a large truck started up and was driving away. Twonk noticed this and pointed to it. "Oh no, the truck! It's getting away!"
"Quick, after it!" Dooley nearly shouted as the two raced off, jumpping from rooftop to rooftop in order to keep up with the truck as it turned and weaved it's way through Durem, passing Edmund's shop along the way, and toward the gates of the city. Both Twonk and Dooley jumpped for it, each one of them beng able to reach it, had they not hit each other in midair, causing them both to fall onto the ground with a loud THUD!. The trucked speeded away, out of sight, unknowning of the two theves' presence.
"Oh damn... Snidne won't be happy."
'Unhappy' was mildly putting it apparently when the two returned. The only good thing about it was that they only had to endure Snidne's shouting for about 5 minutes. Despite the fact that each one tried to pass the blame onto the other, Snidne had told them, quite bluntly, that each was to blame. If they had not been, as Snidne put it, 'childishly arguing over something insignificant' the mission would have gone on well.
Twonk was lying in his room, thinking things over. True, the squabble could have been on hold until a better time. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more he realized exactly why Snidne had paired the two together. He was hoping that they would overcome their differences and work together as a team. But not only had they gotten carried away again, but it also cost them the mission.
It was times like this that Twonk wished he could be more of duo with Dooley like Celestial and Infernas. Well, maybe not exactly like them, but they always worked so well together, accomplishing missions where they had to sneak into Gaia Corps and steal information regarding the Admins. And yet here he was, failing to steal the cargo from a truck. All because of an arguement that really didn't matter anymore.
A knock on the door broke Twonk from his thoughts as he got off his bed and walked to it. Opening the door he was surprised to see Dooley there. "Can I come in?"
"Umm... sure." Twonk stood aside to let her in before closing the door. "Um, do you want something to drink or..."
"Yeah, sure." she said, not really paying attention to his question. She looked over the room Twonk had been provided. Apparently, he hadn't cared much for decorating it in even the slightest way, although she knew the house he owned was well furnished. Twonk came back with two drinks and set them down on a nearby table. "Thanks." Dooley took her drink and sipped it.
Twonk held his own drink loosely in his hands, but decided not to drink anything for now. The silence streached onward, slightly unnerving him. He wanted to say something, anything, if only to break the silence that seemed to be running through him.
"Dooley I-"
"I came over to-"
Both realized what was happen, and each flushed slightly, turning away. "You go first," Twonk said, taking a drink.
Dooley sighed and set her drink down. "Well, I wanted to come by to say I'm sorry. I really shouldn't have acted that way, and it cost us all that stuff. And well... yeah."
"It's alright. I wanted to apologize too. I guess I find it hard to believe that there is anyone who is really better then me when it comes to stealing things."
"What about Snidne?"
Twonk laughed. "Well, besides him I guess. It's not like he steals much..." Dooley thought about it. Indeed, Snidne rarely went out to steal things. On the few occasions that he did, he was never caught or suspected. No one was quite sure how he managed to do this. The same could truely be said for his fighting. Snidne hardly ever wanted to fight, but when he did he was a true force to be acknowledged. She took another drink, feeling more comfortable.
Soon enough they were both talking, sharing times when they went to steal things. During the course of them talking, Dooley had knocked over her empty glass in a fit of laughter. Dooley reach over to pick it up as Twonk did the same.
Their hands touched and held.
Both of them looked at each other this time, Twonk's hand held over Dooley's, slight blushes coming onto their faces, before they both pulled away quickly. "Umm sorry about that..." Twonk said nervolusly.
"It's ok..." Dooley said.
They both looked to each other, not forgetting the heat that briefly passed between them as their hands touched. Looking into her eyes, something from within them seemed to draw him closer, wanting him to gaze forever into those orbs. Without even realizing it, his head was moving closer and captured Dooley in a kiss.
Dooley seemed shocked that Twonk was leaning toward her, even more so when their lips met. Yet that first contact was more then enough to loosen her mind around the fact that he was kissing her. She kissed back, her hand reaching up to hold his cheek as they continued. For almost a minute they had locked lips and when they finally broke away, both of them couldn't hide the furious blushes on their faces.
"That was..."
"Yeah..."
They were breathless, as realization of what they did began to hit them hard. Yet neither was paying attention to that part of their brains right now. There was a longing that grew when they broke apart, a longing that desired the one thing they knew had to happen in order to fill it up again. This time, Dooley reached out and kissed him, once again lips meeting.
Twonk led her to his bed, not willing to break that kiss for anything, until both were laying on it, Twonk on top of her. He gazed down to her, wondering why he was doing this, and realizing that there was no real why. This was a want, a need that was growing and wouldn't be satisfied unless he could have her, have all of her to himself. He kissed her once more, his tounge lightly tracing her lips as he brought her body close to his, enjoying the feeling as her breasts rubbed against his chest.
Dooley too was losing herself, her rational mind no more then a fleeting memory as she felt Twonk's tounge lick her lips. She let her own tounge dance with his, in a battle for dominance. Soon his tounge was invading her mouth, tasting and exploring every inch. They finally pulled away, gasping for breath, each one feeling the heat in their faces.
Twonk proceeded to take off Dooley's shirt and skirt, leaving her only in her underwear. Once that had been finished, Dooley started to undress Twonk, tossing his hat aside leaving him in his boxers. Once they reached that point, Dooley flipped Twonk over so that she was straddling him. The tables turned as Dooley started to grind her hips onto him, causing him to moan out from contact.
So, it's a fight she wants huh? Twonk thought, deciding to play Dooley's little game for now. He felt his own body reacting, his penis getting hard as she was getting wet. He reached up and undid her bra, before suckling on her breast. The action caused her to cry out, as she held his head closer, wanting to feel more of his tounge against her. Inside Twonk was smiling. Just because he was on the bottom didn't mean he would submit to her.
When she could take it no more, she pushed Twonk back down, taking off his boxers. She grabbed his hardened length, about six and a half inches and started stoking it. The feelings caused him to thrust his hips upwards, wanting to feel more of the pleasure now rocking his body. Dooley smiled this time. Now he was under her control, a slave to his own pleasures.
It came as a shock then, when Twonk turned the tables on her and she found herself staring up at his eyes, hungry for her body. He kissed her again, roughly this time, as he pulled down her panties. "Twonk... please wait, I never-" But the rest of her sentence died when she felt one of his fingers enter her, and his lips pressed against her neck, lightly biting down. And somehow, she knew he would be easy on her for her first time with him.
Twonk continued to thrust his finger in and out of her, adding another one while watching Dooley's face twist with pleasure. He knew he won this little game for tonight, and he was going to milk it for all it was worth. Seeing as she was ready for him, he positioned himself to enter her. She looked to his face for a brief moment and nodded her head. With a quick thrust, he was in.
The feeling was nothing like Dooley had ever experienced. She had pleasured herself before and her constant nighttime activity meant that he hymen had long since broken. But this pleasure was better, so much better then anything she tried with herself, so much more then any dream or fantasy could ever provide. Twonk began to thrust, building himself a steady pace.
"Ahhh... oh yes... that... t-that feels..."
But exactly what it felt like never left her lips, for she could nothing beyond that point but moan and cry in pleasure, as she felt him push into her, filling her up more and more until she was sure to overflow. Twonk gave out his own moan as he felt himself release inside of her. The feeling of his essence entering her brought Dooley to her own climax, her body lost in the storm of her own pleasure.
With their sexual high calming down, Twonk lay against Dooley's body, as she absentmindingly stroked his hair. "You won this battle, but the war is far from over."
Twonk only smiled. "At ease soldier. There will be other battles."
"Who the hell are you?"
Snidne was looking at someone that, if he had to go by first impressions, looked somewhat like a female version of Twonk, minus the hat he always seemed to wear. She had that same smile Twonk always seemed to carry, like she was in a good mood over something. She was wearing a red buttoned shirt and skirt, her eyes looking so familiar to him, yet not wanting to say where in fear that he was right.
"I told you already, I came here to see Twonk."
"And I'm telling you, your not entering without at least telling me your name."
At this moment Twonk and Dooley came into the room, talking about something. The girl caught sight of him and bounded off, pushing Snidne out of the way so that she threw herself onto him. "Twonk!!!"
"Sis!?" Twonk said disbelieving as she knocked in down in a hug, as if the person in front of him was not really there.
"You have a sister Twonk?" Dooley asked.
"Yeah... this is Kyashii. I see you've already met my boss, Snidne..." Twonk said sheepishly, which caused her to turn and smile to Snidne once more.
Snidne only scowled. Oh great, just what I need... another nutcase Snidne thought as he walked to his office. "Yeah well, it's late and I really need to get back to work. We can talk about this in the morning."
At this point, Celestial, Infernas and Colette entered the room. They all looked from the girl, Kyashii, who was sitting on top of Twonk, to Snidne, in hopes for him to explain. "Ummm... Snidne who-" Celestial began.
"Don't ask" was the only reply as Snidne entered his office and locked the door, intent on drinking enough to hopefully fool himself into thinking that he didn't just witness another possible headache walk through the door.
