The Horror isn't Over

_*CHAPTER FOUR*_

Seth watched as Leon comforted Ashley he was scared and nervous about
all this. He didn't know how this could have happened here. He watched
them for a while and then looked around. He went to the door and opened
up to see if any more where there. He only opened it a crack but it was
enough to tell him more were out there. He shut it and then looked at
the two of them as they spoke softly. He went to the window and peeked
out making sure to stay out of sight. His eyes widened and his hand
shook. He looked at Leon for a bit before speaking. "Leon there is
hundreds of them out there and several in the hall." He said softly but
loud enough for Leon to hear. He saw the blond look at him and then get
up heading over.

Leon had been shocked to hear the tremble in Seth's voice and realized
how scared the other man was. He pulled the red head into his arms and
held him close. He peeked out the window and swore softly. He just
stood there holding Seth cursing himself for forgetting how weak the red head
really was. He acted tough and could protect himself but this was too
much for him. He looked over at Ashley thoughtfully his hands making
small circles on Seth's back. "We'll get out of this Seth don't worry."
He said though he hadn't a clue how they would do it. He felt Seth
relaxing against him and smiled. Seth always seemed to trust him and
never doubted him like other's had. He then looked at Ashley who was
watching them. "Ashley you know of any secret escape tunnels we could
use?" He asked

Ashley looked at him for a while. "Yes but wouldn't they know of them
because they took over the bodies of the workers here?" She asked. She
could see how Seth stood there content. She wished that Leon was
holding her like that. She realized with a start she was jealous of the other
man. She had liked Leon a lot and when he had told her he was going out
with someone she had got really jealous. She had thought she had gotten
over it after meeting the red head who was quick to smile and laugh.
She sighed to herself a bit and than gave a laugh. She noticed both of them
looking at her like she had lost it. "Sorry thinking of the joke Seth
told us two days ago." She said. "It still cracks me up." She then
looked at Leon for an answer to her first question. "Well won't they?"

Leon sighed at that. "Your probably right but maybe we can still use
them and just pick them off one by one." He said though he knew they
hardly ever went alone but now he had an extra gun. "We need more
supplies so the first thing we need to do is get more weapons." he told
them. He knew that the only way to do that was to get into the high
security area in the basement to get the weapons that meant they needed
a key. Which they didn't have. He looked at Seth who was looking up at
him ready to do what Leon thought was best. He swore to keep them both
safe. "Okay we need to head out." He told them taking charge. His hold
slowly left Seth who nodded his head.

Ashley nodded as well. "Okay let's hope this works." She said and
wished she could help out more. She now led the way to the hidden passage way
in her room. She opened it and watched as Leon headed in first. Seth
motioned her to go after him and she bit her lip but did what he told
her too. She had seen the worry in Leon's eyes when he looked at Seth.
"Okay we need to go left and then right." she told Leon who nodded his
head as he led the way slowly. He had a small flashlight on his hip to
show the way. Leon would pause every once and a while to make sure
nothing was a head of them.

As they traveled they ran into some of the Plagua infected people. Seth
would join right in fighting them and keeping Ashley safe as well. They
continued on finally reaching where they needed to be. Seth looked at
Leon as he rummaged through the weapons and picking some out. Leon
tossed him several new weapons as well and a pack to hold them. He was
tossed a rifle and a shot gun. He smiled a bit at the rifle and looked
for the ammo they would need. He filled a bag with ammo for Leon and
himself. "Leon we should give Ashley a weapon." he said. "So she can
defend herself if the need arose." He was thinking logically. The blond
turned to him and smiled. He then handed Ashley a 9mm berretta. He
quickly showed her how to use it and warned her that there could be a
kick back from it. She took it and then put it in the shoulder harness
that Seth found for her. She took the ammo he handed her as well.

Leon moved to Seth and looked him in the eyes. "You all right?" He
asked. His hand coming up to carrass his face. He saw Seth smile at him
and nod his head. He knew he was acting like a mother hen but Seth
turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to him. He now
looked at Ashley. "You all right?" When she nodded he did as well. "Okay let's
get out of here." He led the way and once again Ashley supplied
directions on how to get out of the town. Leon knew he was going to
need help with this one. He hoped that Chris and the other's would be
willing too and were around. He was aware none of them knew who he was dating
and Claire had shown an interest in him before just hoped she wouldn't
freak.

They had been going for quite a while before they ran into a huge
number of the infected people. Both Seth and Leon were fighting using their
shot guns. The shot's would echo in the tight space but they ignored
the sound. One would fire as the other reloaded. The sound though was
a give away to their location and they made sure Ashley was protected at
all times. She was still a target no matter if her parent's where dead
or not. She as well as Leon knew too much. They finished one wave of
the creatures and headed out again. They ran into a second wave this one
had a larger number and Ashley had to use her gun on a few who slipped by.

Leon looked at them both when they headed out again. Seth was covered
with blood that Leon hoped none of it was his own. He knew that he must
look the same way. They moved along and came to the exit that was
outside the grounds. Leon moved out first to check if it was clear.
Then he motioned for the other's to come out. He heard the shot gun go off
and swore. Ashley came out and looked at Leon. "Several of them came up
behind us. Seth sensed them first and began to fire to give me time."
SHe said worriedly.

Leon looked at her and then handed her the other gun. "You stay hidden
and come out on my signal." he said as he went into the tunnel again.
He saw Seth holding the wave off but these had weapon's as well and Seth
was hidden partly by an outcrop so he had some cover. Leon opened fire
as he raced to find some kind of shelter as well. He was aware of
everything as he fought. He suddenly gave a little cry of pain when he
was hit but it didn't slow him down at all as he fired away. He watched
the last one fall and sighed in relief. Seth moved over to him and
checked his wound. "Let's get out and get Ashley." Leon told him as he
finished cleaning and patching the wound. Seth just nodded his head and
picked up his weapons again. They went out of the tunnel and blocked
the exit before getting Ashley
