Chapter 3
“Together”

After ten long, quiet minutes of looking down at their empty plates in thought.

Dante finally broke the silence, “I had every intention of dying there after I found out it was a trap.” He took a shaky breath and looked his brother in the eyes, “Because I thought you were dead…” he finished.

Vergil nodded; he also understood the desire to die.

“A huge part of my soul is missing without you, Vergil.” He admitted.

The older twin stared straight into Dante’s eyes, unable to say anything.

“I’m sorry, for everything. Do you forgive me?”

Vergil frowned, “Do you forgive me?”

Dante’s heart skipped a beat, “Yes, I will always forgive you.” He replied quickly.

The elder brother smiled softly, “That is your answer, Dante.”

The younger twin smiled, he felt happier then he had been in thirteen long years. He never thought in a million years that his twin would be forgiving him. “Do you- do you want to try us again?” he asked.

Vergil smiled and reached across the table and rested his hand on Dante’s, “Only if you do.” He replied.

“Of course I do. I want nothing more.”

The two smiled at each other for a few moments, taking in the feeling of being near each other once again. Dante then looked down at the just received check, “I got this.” He stated, pulling out his wallet and laying down the exact amount then a five dollar tip for the waitress.

Vergil stood, “I just want to know.” He began, “You are not going back to that fight are you?” he asked.

Dante snorted then stood himself, “Fuck no. It was a trap. I originally wanted to go back to die. No point in going back now.” He answered.

Vergil nodded, now satisfied that his brother would not go off on a fool’s errand and get himself hurt. “Let us leave.” He said, walking to his twin and hesitantly taking his hand and intertwining his fingers with Dante’s.

The demon-hunter smiled and leaned over and kissed his twin softly on the cheek.

Dante was surprised at how soft and smooth Vergil’s cheek was. He almost couldn’t wait to get him somewhere private and give him a real kiss.

They both began walking casually down the street, ignoring people’s stares at their closeness. Dante smiled and lowered his head. “My fight doesn’t leave until four in the morning tomorrow.” He informed.

“Oh well at least we will have some time together…”

“I’m going to get you a seat on that plane. I want you to come home with me.” He interrupted.

Vergil smiled and pulled his brother in against him and released his hand then wrapped it around his waist. He followed up by kissing his brother on the cheek. “Thank you.”

“So shall we get a cheep hotel or do you have a place.”

The elder twin shook is head. “I have no where that I live.”

“Alright, let’s go to a hotel.” Dante flashed a smirk then leaned into his twin, “I want to feel your thick dick in my ass again…” he whispered seductively followed by a small swipe of his tongue across his brother’s ear lobe.

Dante pulled away and smirked at Vergil’s shudder of delight. He then turned to his younger twin, a devilish smirk flashing across his face. “Oh you will, dear brother. You will.” He replied, dropping his voice to a deep tone.

After about thirty minutes walking the twins walked up to a ratty looking hotel and into the office. Dante rung the desk bell and waited for the manager to appear.

A balding, short and fat man walked up, “Yeah? How can I help you?” he asked.

“Yeah, cheapest room for two you got. One night.” Dante requested.

The man grunted and tapped on the computers keyboard for a moment then looked at them, “Cheapest I got is a single for forty-five bucks. I can tack on a roll-away for an extra ten.” He stated.

Dante shook his head. “Nah only got fifty left. We will be fine.” He replied, pulling out what was left of his cash and laying it down on the counter.

“Suit yourself.” The man shrugged and took the cash.

He then proceeded to ring in the order and give back the change and the key. “Room 116, down the hall on the left.”

Dante took the key then led his brother to the room and unlocked the door. He looked around and wrinkled his sensitive nose at the musty air. “Ugh… this place is bad…”

“We have had sex in worse places, Dante.” Vergil commented moving to the window and opening it, to relieve the disgusting smell.

Dante flipped on the lights and sneered in disgust. “Are you sure? I am not even sure I want to lay on that bed with my clothes on.”

“I am positive.”

Not only did the room have a distinct odor, but they were sure that it was from the mold and asbestos that was growing in various places. The walls were dingy beige and stained along with the floors and bed.

He was scared to see what the bathroom was like. He shut the door and quickly shook it off and walked to his twin with a smile.
