Boating Buddies

The Elunes blessing was a solid vessel.  Functional night elf design, less comfortable than a human ship but the Kaldorei weren't as fond as warm lighting as the other races were.  Sitting in a silken sling waiting for the boat to leave the docks, Meral hoped that trip wouldn't be long.  It was heading for Rut'theran Village where she would need to transfer on a human vessel if she wanted to make it to Stormwind.

A night elf mariner, with soft pink skin, short teal hair wearing some rather simple mail, looking cobbled together from hand me downs sweeped the floor occasionally casting glances at her draenei guest.  Feeling slightly unnerved by the night elf.

"Can I help you?"  Meral mutters.  "Don't feel bad.  My great aunt had one."  The elf says with a smile.  Face blushing blue she scowls at the sailor.  "You watched me in the bathroom?"  The elf laughed and responded "No.  That would be terrible conduct.  We're contracted by Darnassus and they wouldn't tolerate that.  "Actually you left the seat up."  Not sure if that was a joke or this minx of an elf was being genuine.  "That and your leg armor...  A few sizes too big and I know that line.  They come in sizes for women."

Not sure what to make of the alien toying with the newcomer to their planet Meral articulates her feelings the best she can.  "Are you all that cunning?" Casting a sour glare at her the elf cackles again.  "No.  Just me.  Only me actually.  Mariner Meene Keenstar.  Nice to meet you.  My humor is lost on you though so maybe I should stick to my chores."

Looking embarrassed the blue beauty speaks through her teeth.  "Trying to keep this private.  You found out so easily.  It's very frustrating."

"Well.." The cheeky night elf walks over smiling and plops onto the seet next to her.  "Maybe the answer isn't to hide it.  If the world knows what you are you can celebrate it with them."  Meene wraps her arm around the Draenei's waste and squeezes her while resting her head on her shoulder.  Gently pushing her off Meral comments "I'll think about it.  There's sense in that."

Mariner Keenstar respectfully gets off the swing and returns to sweeping.  "Soo..." She says in a sing songy tone.  "You ever done it?"   Looking away from her with a blush the tired draenei responds "None of your business." clearly not in the mood to talk about it.  Sweeping faster the cocky elven worker continues her tirade of awkwardness.  "We Kaldorei can reach almost up to a millenia before we keel over so we have some stories to share."  Casting an aside glance at her Meral informs her "Our oldest are well over 25,000 years old." Meene whistles and, clearly trying to hold back her desire to illicit a reaction out of her guest, failing of course.   "Think how many partners you could..."  Meral glares at her and she backs down.  "I'll think about what you're saying.  What I do your words is up to me."

The bell rings as the Elune's Blessing reached Rut'theron Village.   After a less eventful but far more cushy boat ride she had arrived at Stormwind Harbor.  White stone as far as the eye could see.  She knew the alliance capital was the place to be.  She would find purpose here.  The affordable housing, the bustling streets, the active nightlife, the "Surprise!"  The blasted elf from before followed her here, hugging her from behind.  "Off me!"  Meral shouted.  "That was my last duty for the week.  Figured I'd come along with."  Rolling her silvery eyes the Draenei didn't respond.  "I'm meeting with friends at the local tavern.  I'd love to introduce you to them." Chattered the enthusiastic pink thing.

"Fine!"  Meral barked.  "Just tell me where to go!"
