And you know it.

Doc avoided Caboose’s gaze. He knew the blue had a… a thing for him. He didn’t want to think about it, really, he would think about it, only to piss O’Malley off. That was becoming too easy for Doc’s liking. He pushed past the blond, heading for the kitchen. No, he wouldn’t let himself be distracted, not now. If O’Malley wanted, he could easily leave… he would have his choice of hosts.

/But I won’t./

Doc barely blinked anymore when he heard O’Malley’s voice in his head. That’s true… not just anyone would readily allow O’Malley to use it. Shame flushed through his body. What was he thinking? How could he let this-

/You know why./

Doc winced as he crashed into another. He stumbled back, looking up to see Church in front of him. It was already late afternoon, but Church looked as if he had just woken up. When Doc asked if he was okay, Church blearily waved him away.

He finally finished what should have been a short journey and stood for a moment. Wait a minute… he stared at the table.

“Donut?”

The blond head looked up sleepily from its position on the table. “Mmn? Church?” he saw Doc and froze. “Oh, I’ll… I’ll be going, then.”

The medic couldn’t say anything as Donut tried to stand, knocking the chair over in his haste. This brought Church back, who only looked at Donut and sighed. Donut, for his part, avoided Church’s eyes. Doc watched the blue approach him, but Donut turned away and began to leave. Doc could see the beginnings of tears streaking down the pink private’s face.

“Church?” Doc asked quietly.

“It’s none of your business, Doc.” Church said tiredly.

DuFresne wouldn’t get anything else from the blue. He gave up on a futile quest and, finally, was able to find something to eat. He sat at the table, hoping for no more interruptions. It was, of course, not to be, as Caboose tore into the room, Tucker on his heels. They both stopped when they saw Doc, Tucker’s face flushing red. He mumbled something about Caboose tearing his porn, but Doc wasn’t even listening. He fiercely attacked his cereal instead.

/I could take care of this./

Doc shuddered. He knew what that would do. No, he could handle them.

/It won’t take long./

Doc shook his head. He stared into his cereal. He hadn’t been thinking about long term when he turned his radio on. Not at all.
