Keeper's Skeleton Keys : Surfacing

Screaming in pain, the little creature cried she would talk. Subversa, who had been masturbating to the melody of her agony, resolved to let her power down. At last, the burning feeling stopped. Her legs were still numb after the electroshocks, but it was already relieving that she'd not have to endure the growing stinging of the electrodes any more. In a gasp, she indicated that the lord planned to hire a group of giants to accompany him. She also mentioned that there already were some well trained witches as a guard. Another Fairy, feeling the relief her comrade had gained, and having low morals because of the long grouped torture, gave some information away as well, in order to get rid of the pain. She told me about the detailed story of the elves princess.

She was a beautiful maiden, daughter of the King of Archlaene. He had promised to marry her only to a knight who would be worthy of her. As such, that knight would have to prove his devotion to the princess by offering her a gift. That had to be the head of a powerful Dungeon Keeper.

I asked the fairy to tell me more about the princess. She assured that she did not know much about her. She was a slender and shiny elf, pretty much like all of her kind. Her beauty was said to be unmatched among her species, and her noble roots made her very popular among the lords of the worlds. After insisting a bit ore, she finally revealed where the King was holding the princess. She should not be able to run away with just any prince that came sing to her down the windows of her tower.
This reminded me greatly of the standard princess to be saved from the dragon storyline. Except for the dragon was missing, to guard the princess. And the knight himself would have to slay quite a few to reach my well guarded dungeon heart. Not to mention the many traps and other creatures living in my dungeon. But the thought of a good old fashioned dragon hunting made me feel nostalgic. Where had the old times gone, when Dungeon Keepers of the world came out of their undergrounds to play with the surface creatures instead of waiting for them to come down to us.

I was wondering if I was so old already myself, realising that I too, had been caught in the comfortable cocooning of Dungeon caring. It was time for some real action. With one rival less, I had my hands free, and the defense system set up for around the dungeon heart was so tight, that even with a few pawns missing, I could easily block enemy attacks.

I called forth a troop of Imps, and ordered them to reopen the long forgotten way to the surface, that had been blocked decades ago, and only rarely was used by heroes nowadays. Ever since they found out how to create hero gates, no one bothered entering the tunnels through the dragon lairs any more. This was just my luck, if I wanted to discretely interfere with the surface, and would spare me some pointless fights over the surface portals.

The Fairies were brought back to the prison, and given some time to recover from the torture. I chuckled, enjoying the thought of their disappointment, when they would soon realise this was only the start. They were grouping in a corner, and caressing each other's wounds for them to heal faster. A spider entered the prison, staring at the creatures in the cells. I watched, amused, as it started freezing one of them already, causing the others to run in circles, unable to escape, yet fearful. The Maiden of the nest on her side, was relaxing, lying among her kin in a corner of the prison, watching with a delighted smile the helpless little creatures, while chewing on a bone like a little girl with a lollipop.

When the tunnels finally were cleared, the Imps came back to me for new tasks. After dispatching most of them with slaps – they should know what their work is without asking me – I grabbed one among them, and called for my Dragons. An army of dragons and an Imp. The party should fly to the castle of Archlaene, and deliver a message to the King. A deal, as one would say.

I penetrated the little slave. Unimportant, yet the most amazing skin in which to hide. Leaving the Dragons unaware of my presence, I left the Dungeon, leaving Horny and the Dark mistresses in charge of the dungeon's safety. My last orders were to get rid of the captives, and I hopped on the back of GoldBreath, my most developed fire spitting reptile.
It would be a shame to have any converted creatures among my minions. So far, I was proud of having only souls of the Abyss within my walls, and so it should remain.
