Chapter three

Chapter three:

Cervantes leaned over the railing on the bridge. The wind blowng his white beard and hair to and fro. His eyes focused on the open waters before him. His arms crossed over his chest. Thinking. About? That woman of course. So many questions he had for her when she woke.

Which he was to figure was soon. As he felt something slam into his back. Followed by pretty much being tackled off the railing. When he fell that person came with him. When he rolled over. That woman who he had fished from the water stood there. One of his swords in hand. Guns immediately aimed at her. She was glaring at him with angry blue eyes. Men siezed her and held her back.

" Shall we slaughter her, sir?" Asked Stomas.

" Nay!" Shouted Cervantes as he drew his blades. " Leave us. Let her strike at me." He responded with an amused smile.

The men did not question, they knew not to question Cervantes. Slowly they did as told. Immedaitely she ran at Cervantes with the sword lifted. Cervantes blocked her on coming blow. And roughly sloved her back with the force of him pressing on his swords against the blade she had.

She stumbled and leapt up to kick him. Cervantes merely ducked and tripped her. When she fell he tried to slam his sword into her. Quickly she rolled to the side and crashed the sword she had into his again which gave her enough time to get to her feet. She ran at him and slammed the sword into his and shoved him back.

'A strong soul and fighter spirit indeed.' He thought with amusement. He then noticed that she had a dagger hidden in her chiton, which he also noticed one side of the leg was slit all the way to her thigh.

Quickly she thrust out her dagger and swung at him. Cervantes leapt back and lifted his leg. Avoiding getting it sliced off. He kicked her so hard she flew far back. She wenched in pain as she hit the stair to the bridge. She rubbed her head as Cervantes quickly went towards her.

Lifting his sword, it slammed into the blade she had. She lifted her dagger, which hit his blade gun. As she faught with him she crawled her way up the stairs stood and tried to flip over him. But he caught her with his arm and locked her neck and held her head tightly with his closed up elbow, while also keeping a blade to her side.

She did not struggled as she knew he could easily stab her with the sword." Listen here missy. I could just as easily kill you here and now. And eat yer soul. But I feel you are worth more to me alive. I'm going to let you loose, but you will be chained in the brig." When he felt that she dropped her weapons his grip on her loosened and he shoved her into the crew." Take the banshie below. Chain her to the wall." He ordered.

" Sir?" Stomas asked carefully. Cervantes gently lowered his blades and looked at his second in command." She attacked you. Why did you not kill her?" He asked.

Cervantes looked away and spoke," There is something in my bones telling me she needs to stay alive." He then gazed out at the ocean. There was a warm breeze gently blowing his hair. And he felt a something long burried. Something he had barely remembered. A feeling he never intended on knowing again. After the death of Marina. The woman he loved all those years ago.

He felt then something of surprise. His eyes water. A lump in his throat. " Keep an eye on things." He said softly. And went below to question that woman.
