A Sight For Sore Eyes
A/N; This is a long chapter, but I wanted to display some OCness to the characters, just in case I was stuffing them up too badly.
Ryu got off the boat and walked into Hong Kong Docks. It was rather busy. Ryu didn't care about the different things for sale that people were calling out for, he only cared that he found out why he was here. He decided that if it was a sexual cause, he would make up his mind with that person.
Fei Long's House
Fei Long was looking at the pendant he had purchased. There were two figures fighting on one side, and two men making friends on the other. He wondered why he had chosen this one in particular. He had known many people through fighting and through friendship, but he could only think of a few who would fit the description of both. He thought them through, and finally it came to him.
“Ryu.” He said to himself. Was it possible that he was coming back to Hong Kong? Was it Ryu he had sensed watching him? But Ryu couldn't possess that kind of power. Besides, no one really knew where he was in the first place.
“Maybe he is closer than I think.” Fei Long said to himself. He put the book and pendant aside and went into his back yard. There was a slight breeze, but it wasn't stirring things dramatically. Fei Long looked at his back yard and all the luxuries it had. He never liked them. He had never been an indulgent type. Living on his training and his ability to fight was what made Fei Long happy.
In Hong Kong City.
Ryu walked down a quiet alleyway. He didn't know why, but it was just his instinct to come down here. There were Street Fighters all over the place, but none wanted anything to do with him. Ryu didn't really feel like a fight, but things had been so quiet in his life, he thought he might go looking, and see if someone was game enough to challenge him.
“Hey you.” A voice called from a shadowy corner. Ryu looked over. A man in a jacket and dark black jeans leaned against a wall, plying with a coin. He flipped it, caught it, then flipped it again without even looking at the result.
“Who are you?” Ryu asked him, stopping in his tracks and looking over at him. Ryu didn't recognize the man, and it was evident that the man didn't recognize him. The man stepped out of the shadows and pocketed the coin.
“I am the best fighter here. If you are looking for a fight, you can get it right here.” he answered. Ryu heard people gathering around. Ryu put his bag down and looked at the man. He didn't know who this man thought he was, but Ryu knew instantly that he could beat him.
“Well, then I guess you will want to fight me. I can handle that. Anything you want, any rules you want.” Ryu said to him. The man just smiled. he walked out into the light. Ryu saw his face. It was slender and had dark green eyes. His hair was black with blond highlights.
“Fine. First man unconscious is the loser.” the man said. “No weapons. But before we start, whom do I have the pleasure of defeating today?” He asked. He had looked Ryu over. He thought that only a punk would look like him and carry everything in a bag like a low life and a homeless idiot.
“i am Ryu. And you are?” Ryu answered. he put his fists up and looked the man squarely in the eyes. the man took off his jacket to reveal a vest with a Chinese symbol written on it. Ryu took in its instant translation. 'Pain.'
“I am Parker. And I am gonna park my fist in your face.” he said. He ran at Ryu with his fist held up. Ryu just stood his ground, looking for a weak point. When Parker was close enough, Ryu reached out and grabbed Parker's extended arm and threw him over his shoulder. Parker landed on his back but recovered quickly. He put his guard up.
“You're not too bad, I see I need a little more focus to defeat you.” Parker said. He put his fists up to defend himself. Ryu just stayed where he was and kept looking at Parker, not saying anything. Now that he could see down the alley where he had come from, he saw a whole crowd of thugs had turned up to see who would win. Ryu saw some money exchange hands.
“If your skill level is nothing but brawling, I suggest you turn way now.” Ryu said in a calm but firm voice. Parker just smiled. His mouth showed a few missing teeth, which must have been the cost of getting to his position. Parker walked slowly towards Ryu with his defense up. He threw a punch at Ryu's head, but it was easily blocked. He then tried to hit Ryu in the stomach, but it was blocked again. He tried to hit Ryu several times, but Ryu was too fast and either blocked or dodged his attacks.
“Don't be funny.” Parker snapped. “You gotta try and punch me sometime. You can't dodge and protect yourself for ever.” he said. He was evidently losing his temper. Ryu didn't flinch at this. Not even a blink.
'I will punch you when I am good and ready.” Ryu answered. Parker took up his stance again and then threw a kick at Ryu's head. Ryu caught the kick and pushed away. Parker fell over on his back. A quick look at the crowd showed a number of people thought this was funny, but no one dared laugh, as Parker seemed to be growing impatient. He stood up and tried to hit Ryu again, but this time his attacks were a lot faster. Ryu dodged each one. Finally, he found the opportune moment in Parker's open defense to punch. His fist flew forward and hit Parker square in the jaw.
“I punched you, are you happy now?” Ryu asked, letting a little humor rise in his voice. Parker stood up, a trail of blood coming from the edge of his mouth. he tried again to hit Ryu, but Ryu caught Parker's fist and started to crush it. Parker bent over in pain. He looked at Ryu with serious loathing. He then forced his free fist up in an upper cut. Ryu was hit in the jaw and was sent flying back. He landed on his back but flipped up into a standing position.
“Not laughing now, are you tough guy?” Parker said with a smile. Ryu waited. When Parker was close enough, he ran forward and jumped into the air. He did a spinning kick and Parker, not expecting Ryu to posses such abilities, didn't react fast enough. Ryu's foot hit right into Parkers head and then into his neck before he was sent flying into a set of trash cans.
“Ha, ha, ha.” Ryu said as he landed. Parker tried to get up. he was really light headed from the fall and the force of the hit. He tried to put up his guard but he was far too weak to keep it up for a long time.
“Who are you?” He asked. Ryu didn't move. He just stood with his guard up, waiting. Parker finally recovered from his dizzy spell and looked at Ryu long and hard.
“I am Ryu. And you need to focus the Zen Dragon before you can stand a chance.” He told Parker. there was a silence. Everyone knew what Ryu had said. Parker was stunned into panic. Ryu stepped forward and curled his fist under. he turned and raised his fist, hitting Parker square in the jaw.
“Ha-du-ken” He called. Parker went flying and Ryu span in the air before he came to land on his feet. Parker fell to the ground, unconscious and bleeding. Ryu opened Parkers mouth and pulled out a loose tooth.
“My prize for defeating the toughest fighter in these parts of Hong Kong.” Ryu said. He turned to where he had left his bag. No one had touched it. Ryu picked it up and left. He didn't realize that the events he had just been apart of had been observed by a pair of eyes. A pair of eyes that showed a man that his target was in town. A man that was supposed to be dead.
Fei Long's House, that Evening.
“And in local news, minor crime boss Parker was admitted to hospital today after a serious street fight that left him unconscious in an alleyway in downtown Hong Kong. The fighter was not named, but authorities are requesting he come forward for questioning.” Fei Long looked up as he saw the street fighter be taken into hospital on a stretcher. He smiled.
“So there is a possibility of someone I know back in town.” He said. He went back to the book he was reading. Before long, there was a knock at the door. Fei Long put down his book and went to answer it. When he opened the door, there was no one there. He shrugged.
“Damned kids. Can never leave an actor in peace.“ He said. He shut the door and went back to his chair. He picked up the book and then realised it was on the wrong page. Something had disturbed it. Fei Long looked around the room, looking for anyone or anything else. He didn't see anything odd. But he refused to sit down and shrug it off. He walked into the kitchen, the bathroom and into the spare room. Nothing.
“Maybe I am being paranoid.” he said. He turned around and then went into the master bedroom and then outside, just to be sure. When everything seemed quiet, he turned around to go back in, but just as he turned, a figure dropped in front of him and kicked him over before he could react.
“What the fuck?” Fei Long asked. He looked at the figure. It was wearing a black hood and cape that covered his whole body. There was no signs of who the person was. Fei Long stood up and got ready to fight. The figure lifted the hood and showed a mans head, with long blond hair in a plat and a face mask with a skull carved into it. The figure slipped the loose robes off his shoulders to show a shirtless body with a snake tattoo coiled around his torso, finishing at his shoulder. Black pants, a sash of blood red and on his left hand, a claw.
“I know you. Vega, of the Shadow operations form a few months back. What the fuck do you want?” Fei Long demanded, his fear growing. Vega was one of the most deadly killers in the world, and he was now on Fei Long's back doorstep.
Vega laughed before answering.“I am no longer known as just Vega. I am the Undead Assassin.” His claw gleamed in the moonlight and Fei Long didn't like the look of it. He steadied his stance and looked for Vega's weak point. It was evident that since Vega had supposedly died, he had trained so much he didn't seem to have a weakness at all.
“I am going to kill you Fei Long. You were on my old employers list of targets. Now I have turned that list into an assassins little black book.” Vega said. His mask concealed his face and emotions were hidden behind a carved in smile. Vega put up his fists, ready to fight. Fei Long waited. He knew it was up to Vega to make the first move. There was a short pause. Vega then walked forward with his fists still up, then suddenly lashed out into an attack.
Fei Long blocked the attack and then stepped in. His fists slapped around Vega's face and then kicked Vega hard, sending him back a number of paces and then stood back. Vega recovered, his eyes studying Fei Long. He put his defense up and got ready to face Fei Long again. He waited. Fei Long hadn't moved from the spot he was in, but his stance was renewed. Vega waited a moment, then jumped high into the air. Fei Long looked up as Vega came down on top of him and sliced across his chest. Fei Long yelled in pain, but then punched forward into Vega's face. There was a crunch and Vega stumbled back. Fei Long recovered, but as he balanced himself, Vega kicked him hard in the face and sent him over.
“You bastard.” Vega muttered as he took off his mask. Vega had a blood nose and Fei Long had clearly broken it. Fei Long was also bleeding lightly from his chest and had a light bruise on the bridge of his nose.
“I'll make you regret that!” Vega yelled. He lunged, no thinking involved, into Fei Long, his claw flying fast and cutting any part of Fei Long it might reach.
Fei Long's House, the front door.
Ryu held his breath as he knocked on the door. there was no answer. He knocked louder. He let go of the breath he was holding and looked around. There was no sign of any life inside.
“All the lights are on, but no one's home.” Ryu said quietly. He knocked one more time, but then decided there was no one home. He turned to walk away when he heard a voice. It was faint, but he heard it clearly.
“I'll make you regret that.” Ryu turned suddenly. It wasn't Fei Long speaking. It was someone else, and they sounded aggressive. Ryu dropped his bag and kicked the door in. he ran through the house, looking for a way into the back yard.
In the back yard.
Vega had pinned Fei Long. they were struggling, trying to gain control to defeat the other. There was a sudden shatter of glass form the house. Vega and Fei Long looked in the direction to see Ryu dive out of the window. Fei Long took the moment to kick Vega off.
“Ryu. How wonderful. Two for one.” Vega said. he lunged at Ryu, but he was knocked back with Ryu's spinning kick. Fei Long had recovered and had stood up. He Jumped forward with his flaming spinning kick which hit Vega square in the head. The black ond orange flames covered Vega. Ryu focused his energy. He summoned up a thunder ball. Just as Vega got up, he fired and hit Vega square in the chest. Vega was electrocuted from the shier power of Ryu's attack. He fell to the ground, struggled for a bit, and then stopped.
“Timing.” Fei Long said. Ryu ran over to Fei Long and caught him as he fell over. Fei Long felt faint. Ryu held him up and looked at the damage Vega had done. It wasn't bad, but it could have been worse if he hadn't shown up.
“Well, I guess we better clean you up.” Ryu said with a small smile, as he picked up Fei Long and carried him inside. He put Fei Long on the couch and went to the bathroom to find a medicine cabinet. Fei long called the police and told them what happened.
“They will be here soon to ask questions and to take the body away.” He told Ryu as he started to clean his wounds. Ryu tied a tight bandage around Fei Longs chest and patched up the other minor cuts and bruises, as they waited for the police and paramedics to arrive.
Ryu got off the boat and walked into Hong Kong Docks. It was rather busy. Ryu didn't care about the different things for sale that people were calling out for, he only cared that he found out why he was here. He decided that if it was a sexual cause, he would make up his mind with that person.
