"Cloning was outlawed by almost every single civilization in this galaxy." Sentinal says as he, Sally, and Bunnie came to the lab holding Robotnik's latest creation.
"The question now is...why did he do this in the first place?" Sally asks looking at the creature that was in the tank.
"He's as black as ol' Butnik's heart." Bunnie says looking at the black hedgehog.
"This is the result of obsession. He's getting desperate in trying not only to kill us, but Sonic as well." Sentinal says coming towards the tube ready to cut it open. Then it started to crack and break apart on its own. The black hedgehog took off at a blinding speed out of the lab.
"He's awake, we're too late." Sentinal says looking towards where Shadow had blasted off.
"Can y'all hit 'em?" Bunnie asks.
"Shooting a target moving at 900 kmph is not the best situation in the world." Sentinal says trying to get a bead on the blur.
"Let's go, that thing's probably after Sonic." Sally says as the three charged out of the lab.

"Come on, you guys have been chasing me for around 4 years now. Can't you catch me by now?" Sonic asks racing around plasma blasts from the SWAT-BOTS.
"Those metal toys can't, but I can." a voice says from beside Sonic.
Sonic turned to look and saw a black hedgehog running along with him. "Who the hell are you?"
"Oh, so sorry, we've not met yet. My name is Shadow." the black hedgehog says keeping up with Sonic.
"So, your the clone." Sonic says looking over his opponent.
"I maybe a clone, but I'm better than you."
"Oh yeah, well, try and keep up with this," Sonic says shooting off faster than Shadow.
"This is child's play." he says and catches the hedgehog and then passes him.
Sonic goes into a spin attack but shadow saw it coming and moved out of the way. Sonic stopped to try to find the black hedgehog, but he couldn't see him.
"I have another talent...I can hide in the shadows in a manner in which you won't know where I'm coming from until it's too late." Shadow says and copied the spin attack Sonic tried just a moment ago. Sonic had barely enough time just to get out of the way.
'This guy is good. Now let's see how he really can play.' Sonic thinks as he stares at Shadow who was a good fifty feet away from him now.
"Now, let's see who'll chicken out first," Shadow says revving up and charging again. Sonic revs up as well and runs right at the black hedgehog. At the last possible moment Sonic pulls out a power ring and uses it to gain an advantage. The two collide and Shadow is sent flying into a squad of SWAT-BOTS that were looking on.
"Sonic, we've gotta get out of here." Sally says coming towards him.
"Juice time," he says and uses the last bit of energy to pick up Sally and run out of the city with Sentinal and Bunnie following them in the air.

There were levels of anger that Snively had scene from his uncle before, but now he'd reached a new level that Snively had never seen before.
"Snively!!!! How in the hell did the hedgehog beat my creation?!?!?!?" Robotnik screamed slamming his fist into the armrest of the chair.
"The hedgehog used a power ring as usual, sir. The energy was too much for him." Snively stated. The SWAT-BOTS that had watched the battle had brought Shadow to the command center. He had seen better days and those were when he was still growing in that damn tube..
"Creator, I have an idea," Shadow says regaining himself.
Robotnik calmed down, "Go ahead,"
"I'll use my ability to hide in the shadows to find their little base. I'll destroy them on their home turf." Shadow says balling his hand into a fist.
"Go," Robotnik ordered and the black hedgehog was gone.

Midnight was upon the village that was the home of the freedom fighters. There was only one soul up at this late of an hour. Rouge the bat. She was hanging upside down using her sonar to pick up any sort of unwanted movement.
"Boring...boring...this shit is so boring," she says in a singsong voice. She had been a former mercenary working for that weasel Knack. She had
come to call on Robotnik to sale him weapons that would wipe the floor with Sonic. The problem was that the marsh mellow man no longer trusted Nack. She almost ended up roboticized until she was rescued by this group of freedom fighters. She then learned that Nack had set her up. Now she decided to keep better company. "Ah, maybe my night won't be so bad after all." she says detecting an unknown presence in the village.
The offending intruder was sneaking around like a natural shadow. Rouge was picking up the outline of a hedgehog. Knowing that this was not Sonic, she struck by biting him on the neck and her fangs injected non-lethal poison. This caused a shriek of pain to come out of the hedgehog's voice.
Sentinal was wakened by the sound and charged out of the hut. He saw with his infrared vision thatRouge and Shadow were going at it. He saw that the bat had bitten the hedgehog.
"How long until your poison starts to effect him?" Sentinal asked.
"Now," she says watching Shadow fall unconscious.

"Where the hell am I?" The black hedgehog says recovering from the bite that the bat had taken out of him. He saw a small gathering of freedom fighters watching him. He tried to break free, but he was restrained. He saw that damned hedgehog, the one his genetic code was based upon, that bat, that bitch that bit him, Sentinal, the princess, Bookshire, and Dr. Quack.
"So what your telling me is that Robotnik took Sonic's genetic code, manipulated it, and cloned the hedgehog that we see before us?" Sally asks.
"that's what Bookshire, Dr. Quack, and I came up with after we took almost every sample known to Mobius from him."
"Would he be able to tell Robotnik where Knothole is?" she asks.
"I'll be able to erase his memory of the location." Sentinal says looking at the hedgehog.
"Do it, then drop him off in Robotropolis." Sally orders.

He awoke again to see a SWAT-BOT carrying him to his creator.
"You failed, and the price for failure is roboticization." Robotnik says clinching his fists. Shadow realized something. This human who had created him didn't care about him at all. The freedom fighters could have killed him, but he was not dead. He decided that he didn't wanna be roboticized, so he escaped the clutches of the bots and ran out of the city.
"Sucks doesn't it?" Shadow says to the spy eye following him as he runs faster and faster so that he could get as far away from the city as possible.
"Sir, one major resource has gotten away, why are you smiling?" Snively asked.
"I'm never going to trust flesh and blood to do my dirty work, I'll just use more advance machinery. It may take me a while to build it, but it'll be
worth it." Robotnik replies as Snively slumped into his chair. At this rate those Mobians would beat them sooner or later. That was the last thing that he wanted. What could his uncle be up to? End Part 3
