Across the Shadows

Here we get to see a bit of Yukio in action!

Same as before, the only char I own here is Yukio. The others belong to the wonderful people who own them

He'd been running through the maze of streets, not really knowing where he was going, though not really caring either. Yukio still couldn't believe that Riku had tried forcing himself on him like that, and after what he'd told him as well. Not to mention what Axel had been doing to him only moments before.

This world seemed to be more then a little messed up.

Turning a corner, he ended up running head on into a group of people, knocking him to the ground.

"Watch where you're going freak!"

"Yeah, ya know!"

Yukio tensed at being called a freak, seeming to have inherited his dislike for that word from his daddy.

"Sorry... I didn't mean to..." he was cut off.

"Discpline!" Yukio just arched a confused brow at him. "What are you, new? Don't you know who I am?"

"Should I know a little runt like you?"

"How dare you talk to Seifer like that, ya know!"

Yukio got to his feet, only to be pushed back down by Seifer. He glared up at him. "Hey... what'd you do that for?"

"Freaks like you don't deserve to stand in my presence."

Yukio's left eye twitched, much like Damon's did when somebody kept calling him that. "Who're calling a freak, you amoeba pipsqueak!"

Seifer and Rai looking at Yukio like he grew another head. "What?"

Yukio just rolled his eyes. "I called you a single celled orgamism... and a rather pathetic one at that."

"That does it! You are so getting your ass kicked!" Seifer pulled out a long squishy looking club. "Get ready, chicken wuss!"

Rising to his feet, Yukio snorted. "You're sadly mistaken if you think it's going to be that easy to defeat me, chocobo fucker."

"The hell is a chocobo?!" Seifer yelled as he swung at Yukio, missing him as the younger boy rolled out of the way.

"Nothing I'd expect you to know, city boy!" Rolling to his feet and reaching for Heart's Desire. Once extended, he parry's Seifer's next attack.

They fought back and forth, each one getting in a few good shots on the other. Yukio at a slight disadvantage not having his other stave here, though it only hindered him a little. Some movement caught out of the corner of his eye and he turned to see it. Distracting him long enough for Seifer to hit him rather hard and send him down the street a ways.

Axel and Riku came running down the street, worried that Yukio was seriously hurt. Rai moved to step in their way around the same time that Yukio got to his feet again.

"I've had enough of this!" Taking his summoning stance with the stave raised horizontaly infront of him. "Leviathan!" The word no sooner uttered from his mouth, when he faded from sight.

In his place arose the great water dragon, in myth was said to be so beautiful that one could not tell if he was male or female. Summoning a great wall of water along with it to send towards Seifer to wash him away and deposit him somewhere else in the city.

When Leviathan faded, Yukio reappeared in the same place he had been, and lowered his stave, smirking faintly to see his opponent was gone.

"What in the worlds was that?" Axel asked, sounding in awe. Rai had taken off to find Seifer the moment he was swept away.

"That was Leviathan... one of my summons." Yukio dusted himself off from the fight, then looked up at the two and narrowed his eyes. "Which reminds me, just what did you two think you were doing this morning?"

The two of them stopped, looking rather guilty and not knowing what to say. Yukio just shook his head, then snatched Lust Forgotten away from Riku. Once it had been returned to it's smaller size and hidden away with Heart's Desire in his sleeveless trench jacket, he sighed at the two of them. "Just don't allow anything like that to happen again, alright?"

They both nodded, looking to each other, then back to Yukio.

"Um.. by the way," Axel spoke up. "What's your name?"

He had wondered when they would actually ask him. "My name is Yukio."
