A Love That Couldn’t Last

The two had met during the Miltian conflict, two individuals with similar goals in mind… the protection of the human race… they’d fallen in love and had now been together for nearly a year… but that would all end in a single night… this very night…

The albino turned to the black haired man lying next to him. The other’s arm wrapped around his shoulders in a gentle caress as he often did after a night of passion. He smiled for a moment before his expression turned solemn, "Jin... love... There's something I've been… meaning to tell you..."

The dark haired man beside him looked at the blue eyed youth with love in his eyes before feeling a slight pang of pain in his heart as if he knew that something wasn’t right. All of a sudden he didn’t want to know what the other had do say but he asked anyay, "What is it chaos?"

"I… I don’t know how to say this without hurting you… Jin… This... this can't last... I need to leave... I've got things that I need to do... things that can't involve you," the younger looking of the two said with a sad look in his eyes, "I don't want to go but I have to... I can't stay any longer... I didn't mean for this to happen. I shouldn't have let us get this close. I'm sorry Jin..."

Jin looked at him with sorrow in his eyes, slightly shocked and very much hurt by what the other had just said. He didn’t want to loose him… his only love. He took a deep breath, however, and asked, "Will we ever see each other again?"

The albino bit his lip before he shook his head, "I hope not... because if we do it's unlikely to be a good thing... I do love you... Believe me when I say it… But I’m involved in some things that are dangerous... things I don't want you involved in."

Jin held chaos tighter as he told him in his most caring and calm tone of voice, “chaos… You know I can take care of myself. You know that. I can protect you too. If you’ll just let me. Why must we part? Why must you take on whatever this is alone?"

The blue eyed chaos shook his head as he got into a sitting position, "I'm sorry Jin... it has to end here... I wish you the best, but you can no longer be a part of my life... and I can no longer be a part of yours… I'm sorry... I’m so very sorry…"

Jin shook his head, his heart shattering and his body shaking slightly before he finally asked, "There's no way? No way at all? There has to be something… you just can’t throw away what we’ve shared… you can’t just throw away our love…"

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to get so close... I didn't mean to hurt you like this," he said looking away for a moment before turning back and placing a hand on the black haired man's cheek, "I would never hurt you intentionally... you do know that don't you?"

Jin placed his hand on top of chaos' and nodded his head slowly, "I know you wouldn’t… and I understand that you’re afraid for my safety. But I can't forget about you either. We’ve shared so much… and I wont just throw it all away like it never happened."

"I would never forget about you my love, but it has to end…" chaos said calmly with a hint of sadness laced in his voice as he shifted and lying back down before edging closer to the other as he pressed his lips gently to the other's lips in a soft but very sad kiss...

Jin wrapped his arms around chaos as his heart sank lower, knowing this was the last time they would be together. He shuddered lightly as they broke the kiss wanting it to have lasted forever. He silently wished for time to stop so he could hold his lover for the rest of eternity...

"Please... I want to be with you one last time before we have to part..." chaos murmured brushing his hand through the other’s hair before moving his head so it was on the other's chest. He loved to hear Jin's heartbeat... it was soothing to him...

The black haired man moved his hand to the smaller man's chest as he nodded and told him in his deep voice, "I want that too. One last time..." He then brought his hand up to the other’s chin, lifting it towards him and went to kiss him again.

chaos shifted himself slightly so that the other could reach his lips and pressed against the other's lips with a gentle moan. He didn’t want this to end in the least but his world was a dangerous one and he couldn’t allow Jin to continue to walk through it...

As chaos was busy with his inner struggle Jin had wrapped his arms around the other's waist and deepened the kiss more causing chaos to flash back to reality and moan into the kiss again as he brought his arms around the other's neck...

Jin moved his hand to the other's manhood and began to stroke him into hardness, indicating that he wanted chaos to be dominant this time. The two always switched roles in bed… while chaos always seemed to be the submissive one the rest of the time…

Jin's breathing began to get a bit faster as he moaned lightly. chaos' voice seemed to lull Jin into a calm state, the taller man’s body feeling heavy and tired as his consciousness was thrown deep sleep, as if he were under some kind of spell. He gently laid his hand around his lover’s arm before he was fully pulled into the land of sleep.

chaos sighed, brushing a hand over the other's cheek before pulling away and getting up off the bed. He quietly got dressed and walked over to the door, glancing at the other for a moment murmuring, "I'm sorry to leave like this love... but it's for the best... I'll never forget you... and I will forever love you…" with that the albino opened the door and stepped out of the other's life.
