The princess in the tower

Chap.3

While Riku was figuring out how to approach alternate-universe Sora, regular Sora was wondering why he was wearing a dress.

Sora accessed the situation. He was in a medieval-looking tower with no stairs and one large window AND he was wearing a dress.

Sora’s mom used to read him fairytales very much like this. But wasn’t the one stuck in the tower supposed to be a princess? Last time Sora checked he wasn’t a girl….

Or was he? Sora quickly tossed up his skirts and sighed. He may be wearing frilly underpants but he was still him.

“Oh? What is this? A show for me my sweet?” a familiar character had appeared in the room. It was Saix.

“Saix! You’re supposed to be dead! Why am I dressed like this!!!?” Sora was really confused and it seems he wasn’t alone.

“Dead? What are you talking about, my sweet?” Sora was scared now. Why was Saix acting so nice to him and also why wasn’t he dead? Saix glided across the room and kissed Sora on the forehead. “I think you look delicious in that dress, that’s why -- and the fact you are mine.”

He was Saix’s? Saix’s what? Sora’s innocent mind could not wrap itself around the situation. But he knew enough to flee when Saix advanced on him.

“Are you trying to escape? Have you noticed you are trapped in an exitless tower?” Saix was laughing as Sora ran over to the bed. And then he did the only thing he could think of, he threw a pillow at Saix and watch as his face grew more dangerous-looking.

“Oh? So you want to play, my pretty little princess…” Saix grabbed Sora by the nape of his neck and buried the brunette’s head into the pillow, “Now princess, do you see what you mean by ‘I own you’? I get to chose if you get to breathe or not and whether you eat or sleep will solely depend on me. You must beg if you wish me to reconsider and you must obey if you don’t want to face the consequences.”

Sora was trying to keep struggling against the man but was rapidly losing the battle. “Please, I’ll do whatever you want!” Sora was screaming it into the pillow with the last of his breath. He could feel his head being turned upright again.

“Good,” Saix stroked the honeyed brown hair, “I have to go attend to some business. I trust you’ll be a good boy until I come back?”

Sora was trying to hold back his sobs, “Y..yes…” Saix disappeared leaving Sora to himself.

He had never been so scared in his entire life. He was completely defenseless and couldn’t do anything!! If only he had the keyblade he would’ve wiped that evil smirk off of Saix’s face! But, if Sora was defenseless there still was Riku. Riku would save him for sure!

“Yeah, well I don’t see him anywhere. Are you sure he’ll come?”

The mirror across the room had just spoken. Was the lack of oxygen making him crazy?

“No, it’s me! Roxas! Remember? I’ve been with you the entire time even when we were both about to be murdered by that madman!” Sora looked over to the mirror and saw his blonde alter-ego looking very angry, “Am I the only one with common sense?! Why did you jump into that portal?”

“I…I don’t know…I’m sorry.”

“Well, maybe it was beyond your control…But we have to figure a way out of here before Saix comes back,” Roxas paced back and forth in the mirror’s frame, “I don’t even want to think about what he’ll make us do…”

“What? What do you mean? He isn’t after the keyblade…What else could he want?” Roxas sometimes had to wonder how Sora was successful in the real world with his limited knowledge of anything adult. He wondered how Sora would react to the possibility of being raped; he probably wouldn’t even recognize the word.

“Well Sora, there are things that Saix would force us to do that we really wouldn’t enjoy. Let’s leave it at that. Look out that window, what do you see?”

“Hmmm. It looks like we’re surrounded by forest. I think I see a town on the horizon though…”

“Sora, remember when Kairi sent that letter to you in a bottle? Maybe we could use the wind in the same way!” It was a small chance but it was better than nothing. Luckily Saix had provided Sora a journal and a pen to occupy himself with.

“Let’s see…. ‘Trapped in the tower in the middle of the forest. Please help. Love, Sora’.”

“What???? That’s lame! No one will want to save us. Write: ‘Beautiful young victim being held captive by an evil older man. Please come to the tower in the forest and save me. Will give my hand in marriage to whoever saves me. Love, Sora.’ That’s how you write a note!”

“Hand in marriage?!” Sora was wondering if Roxas was sane.

“Well, we ARE in a fairytale-world. The only decent knights that rescue fair maidens are ones that want a broad to marry. There’s just no incentive otherwise.” Sometimes Sora was a complete idiot even though he was technically the same person as Roxas.

“We’re not actually going to marry the guy, right? It’s just a note, not some contract,” Sora was half telling himself this while he folded the note into an airplane and sent it out the window.

::I always liked fairytales, and this story is pretty much written on whimsy and pent-up stress::)
