More than just Kombat...

"Maybe this is what she meant by, *you can't force it*." Thane thought to himself as he abandoned his attempts and followed along before he and Kalypso proceeded through the tunnel together.

It didn't take Thane long to notice the temperature was warmer the deeper they delved down the foliage covered path. Large exotic flora grew upwards from the ground and vines crossed intricately over one another across the walls. Meanwhile, a healthy amount of fauna scurried about in response to their travel. Thane thought about possibly scooping up a rabbit as a snack to pass the time, but instead ignored the indigenous wildlife in order to keep time with Kalypso.

She hardly appeared to be *investigating* the area, so much as she was simply marching down the path. Thane narrowed his gaze as he walked along with her. *"Perhaps she is seeking out something specific in mind?"* He thought to himself. *"Ever since discovering the tunnel underwater, she's behaved as if she knows about these tunnels first hand. Did she used to live down here long ago? Did she leave something behind that she seeks to recover? Just what is Kalypso's origin, I wonder?"*

After traveling for some time they eventually came to an underground chamber with a small clearing spread out amongst the plant life. Thane could detect several passageways leading out from the area as his eyes also trailed several animal paths that converged over one another in this room.

"Well there is dinner if you're interested." Kalypso announced while gesturing to a small inlet in the side of the wall. Looking over the dragon-taur could see a large slumbering beast. The creature was roughly about the size that he was in form, however this ancient furred beast was all muscle and power before sporting it two massive tusks as well. "Just give me a minute." He said with confidence.

After taking stock of it's sleeping figure, Thane parted his jaws and seemed to flick his tongue against the roof of his mouth. After a moment there was a spark that came from between his teeth, before another one. Then something from deep within his jaws seem to catch flame before holding a fiery glow.

Although before he could proceed, he noticed the tension which suddenly overtook Kalypso. Soon after they found themselves surrounded but a group of people, but these seemed to be far different from the modernized humans he had met while traveling with Kano. They were scantily dressed and armed with crude weapons. Thane sneered, hardly feeling threatened by their presence, and instead of bothering to attack he meaned stood himself upright.

What intrigued him the most though was Kalypos's reaction. Even moreso than the confidence she had shown at exploring these tunnels, now she was had her intrigue written clearly across there face as they spoke to her in an old human dialect. *"Was it a mistake to trust her after all? How could she know these primitive individuals?"*

"They would like us to follow them." Kalypso said, seeming to opt as a translator between them.

"Hmm." Thane mouthed before giving a gaspy shudder, shaking his head until the fire held without his mouth dissipated. "You seem to be uniquely interested in these humans."
