More than just Kombat...
XXVIII.
Kalypso landed swiftly behind him, smirking as she noticed the small wounds he sustain. "I nose dived my first time too. Takes some getting used to. But once you do it's quite fun." She looked around, trying to figure out where they were. It was clear wherever they are hasn't had company in a very long time. Everything inside the caved look beautiful and well persevere.
"I'll see if it's safe above." She was unaware herself just how quickly she grew accustom to using his height to her advantage. She cling on top of him. Whether he stood up, or held her, or allowed her to use his head, it didn't matter. As soon as was pushed through the entrance, she peek cautiously.
Nothing but a dense forest greeted them. Though unlike above, the plant life here was far more healthier. Brighter and prettier in colors with plantation that no longer exists above. Some were strange in appearance while others were so beautiful they have to be poisonous. There's no doubt in her mind that most of these would not survive on the surface. Not the way humans were. Now this was the world she remembered. She could sense the tickling sensation of water near by and another tunnel. Maybe they were both of the same? "Well I don't see anything dangerous." That could easily change later.
Kalypso lifted herself off of Thane and climbed up. She jumped off and came to the side of the cave which looked more or less like a giant rock covered in moss. She repeated the same process that she did below in the water, breaking open half the side to allow Thane leave. "I can't tell where we are. It's been so long. And as I said, the world has changed much since I last was here." Kalypso wiggled her pugey toes, grounding herself in the warm dirt. It was incredibly warm. Not blazing hot like in the dessert but warm nonetheless. "I imagine Kano could benefit with the tunnels. But only if I can properly map it out for him." It wouldn't seem right if a civilization still lived in these parts.
