Day of Embrace
Four years have passed since the day that Alexander and Jessica have met, both gradua the the same year. On graduation night, in which Alexander told her that he had slept through graduation, they went out to celebrate. He knew this great bar that we could go to and spend very little on drinks.
"Alexander, you know I don't drink...or haven't tried it yet," she says to him, looking at the bar they are going into. The problem was that it didn't look like a bar...it looks more like a place someone would do to find sanctuary when they had none.
"Well, then this is your time to try it," he says as the dooens ens into the bar. As they enter, a person that Jessica did not know stood up and hugged Alexander. She stands back because she didn't know who it was and just stands there, looking like an idiot. Maybe it was just a friend that she didn't know and so she made herself look very little, small, and unnoticeable until she heard her name and looks up.
"Jess, this is Lars, my brother," Alexander says, noticing that Jessica was standing apart from them. She looks up to see a man that looks a lot like Alexander, except that he was taller and less good-looking than he is. Her eyes trail down his body, something about him just made her almost trust him but at the same time fear enters into her mind. Being scared, she cowers next to Alexander, her hand wrapping around his as she summons all her courage that she has to speak.
"I-Its nice to meet you," she says softly and shows a shy side. She looks to Alexander, and surprise shows in her eyes because she thought it was just going to be the two of them. Lars notices her fear and says, "Don't worry, I won't bite." That broke the ice and a smile from her face. The fear is slowly going down but at the same time she does not let go of Alexander's hand. She feels as if she does, she will lose something that she does not want to lose. But what is it? Love...it couldn't be that, must just be the trust that she has built up with Alexander.
"So, you two, how does it feel to be free of college?" Lars asks the both of them, smiling very warmly.
"Great," they both answer at the same time, making her blush again as they all sit down at a table as Alexander pulls her very close. Lars raises an eyebrow but mentions nothing as a waiter comes around to ask us what to drink. Lars orders himself a Blood Mary while Alexander orders an Atomic Fireball for himself andsicasica.
"What's an Atomic Fireball?" Jessica asks after the waiter leaves. Lars and Alexander chuckle as they see that she knows nothing about the drinks.
"Its Vodka and Cinnamon Schnapps with tobacco sauce. It is then shaken vigorously and strained into two Shot glasses. It's a shooter," Alexander explains and pats her knee. "Don't worry, you will like it. Trust me on that." He hugs her tightly to him, putting her almost in his lap. Lars smiles at the two lovebirds as they softly kiss, Alexander gently stroking her cheek.
"And if I don't?" Jessica asks with a small smile of innocence that would melt anyone's heart.
"Then we will just try something else until you like something," he answers tenderly, much more than his brother has seen him do in a long time. The drinks come, each set in front of the person that ordered them, but Jessica notices a smell cg frg from the Bloody Mary that Lars ordered. She opens her mouth to say something but Lars beats her to it.
"The way that I like it made here brings a smell out of it. Its nothing to be worried about, Jessica," he says but watches her more carefully over his glass. 'She is very perceptive'; he thinks to himself as he watches Alexander teach her how to drink a shooter. 'Maybe too perceptive about somethings, but she hasn't noticed that Alexander is something that is he in not, yet,' he musses as he hears Alexander ask him a question but Lars did not totally understand it. "I'm sorry Alexander, I think I let myself slip too far into my own mind. What did you ask?" Lars looks up to see that Jessica went off to the bathroom to do something and raises an eyebrow at her being gone.
"She just went to call her mom because she told her that she would tonight," Alexander answers in response to Lars' raised eyebrow. "Are we going through with it tonight? She just graduated and she doesn't even know that..."
Lars cuts him off with a motion of his hand. "Yes, we cannot afford to wait any longer. And I cannot afford it either, Alexander. They have waited for this night for four years so that she could learn more. Now that she has all her skills in a row, we must act tonight. Or face the wrath from above," he says and notices Jessica is coming back. "She is coming back. Do not forget the plan and we must go faster than we are going now." Alexander just nods at Lars and smiles up to the woman he loves as she comes back.
'Thman man I love and the one I will probably hurt the most', Alexander thinks to himself as Jessica sits back down next to him, her head on his shoulder as he kisses her hair. "Jess, why don't we get you another drink okay?"
"Sure," she replies with a grin. "Mom says hi, Alex. She wanted me to tell you that," and he feels a ting of guilt as he hears this. But then what Lars said comes back into his mind and he knows that this be be followed through to the letter. The waiter comes back to the table and clears away the two-shooter glasses, waiting for another order.
"Absolut disaster," Alexander orders, getting another raised eyebrow from Lars that Jessica doesn't notice as she raises her own eyebrow at Alexander. "Double," he adds in German, which makes Lars understand why he did order that. It would make Jessica just drunk enough to start the plan. "Don't worry, Jess, you'll like it. Its Absolut vodka and peppermint schnapps, and tamer than the last drink you had, okay?" She nods a yes as the waiter goes away to place the order for the drink.
Lars looks around the bar and notices the Prince of Chicago, whom he needs to speak to about what he is about to do. "Please excuse me," he says to Alexander and Jessica as he gets up to go talk to the Prince who is on the other side of the bar. He walks up to the Prince and respectfully bows his head. "My Prince," he starts before he gets stopped with a wave of the hand.
"Do not worry Lars," the Prince says regally. "I have talked to Prince Montgomery and know what you wish to do. I will allow you to do so in my realm and I hope it goes well for you." Lars bows and mutters his thanks before returning to Alexander and Jessica who have the drink. He watches with understanding eyes and nods a yes to Alexander. He grins widely as Jessica shoots the drink down into her body and then feels the quick effects of the drink. A couple minutes later, she is entirely drunk and part two of the plan goes into action.
They get her out of the bar with Jessica leaning mostly on Alexander as she unable to walk on her own. As they walk, Lars asks a small question of her. "Jessica, my dear, do you believe in vampires?"
She starts to just laugh loudly and muchly before she calms down to answer the question. "No, vampires don't exist. If they did..." she stops in mid sentence as she sees Lars' fangs that he brought out and feels Alexander get dead cold. "But you can't..." she tries to say as she faints from what she has just seen.
~~~~~~~~~~~
When Jessica wakes up, she finds herself in a sewer of Chicago and sitting on a chair, not restrained or anything. She moves to get up but feels a heavy hand on her shoulder.
"It is best if you don't, Jessica," she hears Alexander's voice say. "There is no place to run to if you try to, so I would stay."
"Why, Alex? Why am I here?" And before Alexander could answer her question, Lars walked in.
"I can better answer that question, Jessica. Or would you prefer Pyre?" She didn't answer, but just looked at him in shock that he knew her hacking name as well. "Pyre, then," he said, answering himself. "The reason that you are here is because I would like to make you one of my childer. The reasons being that as a clan we need people who are ncednced in computers. You are one of those people and we need you. Of course, you cannot say no, but I think it would be better if you did agree just to make things easier."
"You just want me for my hacking skills?" She asks as Lars nods his head yes. "So...but..." She tries to organize her thoughts, this being a complete shock to her own mind.
"It is not just for your hacking skills,sicasica. It is also because you are a good programmer and we will need that in the future. We are asking for your help and in return giving you immortal life," he says with an oily tongue.
"What can I do as a vampire?" Jessica asks after many minutes of silence.
"Hide yourself, talk to animals, and make yourself more powerful in your punches. And of course, immortality," he says with a grin that she is considering it.
She tilts her head to the side, thinking. "I'll do it," she says as Lars moves to her side and tilts her head to one side.
"This won't hurt...much," he says as his fangs bite into her skin, starting to drain her off all the blood that she has. This process only takes seconds and Lars cuts his own wrist to give her his blood so she can become a vampire. Jessica takes the blood and reopens her eyes as a vampire. But at that same moment, agony tore through every muscle in her body. She gets out of the chair, scratching at her forehead as she faints. Her forehead collapses in on her eyes, shutting her out from both worlds in one swift action.
"Alexander, you know I don't drink...or haven't tried it yet," she says to him, looking at the bar they are going into. The problem was that it didn't look like a bar...it looks more like a place someone would do to find sanctuary when they had none.
