Meeting NiGHTS

Emily fell into a deep sleep, she pressed her left cheek against her pillow in comfort, nothing could wake her up at this point, even a sudden loud noise couldn’t wake her up from her deep sleep episodes.
She fell further into the dream, falling through the night sky surrounded by white fluffy clouds and glimmering clusters of faded white stars. Emily landed softly on the ground, she began to look around and noticed a tall golden gate from a distance, her eyes widened with excitement as she ran towards the golden gate “that’s the gate that leads to the Dream Realm!”, she was heading closer towards the golden gate filled with joy and enthusiasm “I’m almost there!”, said Emily as she kept on running “I’ll make sure that I’m ready this time… when we meet face to face.”
A tired Emily slowed down and began walking at a normal pace, as she arrived at the dream gate, making a sudden stop and decided to take a short break due to all that constant running “*pant* I ran *pant* without stopping *pant* again?” she slumped over and stared at the ground “at least… I’m finally here.”
She stood back up and began to open the golden gate carefully, she walked in quietly in front of the huge fountain and waited patiently for NiGHTS to arrive “I don’t mind if he shows up late” blushed Emily as she looked at the fountain “as long as he’s here, I’m fine with it.”
A couple of minutes has passed, Emily sat down next to the fountain and stared at the night sky “he’ll be here, I just need to be patient.” She thought as she kept on looking into the night sky, but, she wasn’t fully aware that the purple jester was sneaking up behind her “the night sky is always beautiful to look at” she said to herself “I know right?” said the purple jester, “ahh!” a surprised Emily turned around and blushed “NiGHTS!? I - I didn’t know that you were here already!” NiGHTS chuckled, “well, I did arrive just a few minutes ago.” Emily quickly went up to NiGHTS and hugged him “NiGHTS you’re here! I’m so glad that you’re finally here!” NiGHTS patted Emily on the back, “me too, it’s nice to see you again, Emily.”
Soon after that, both Emily and NiGHTS went to visit a part of Nightopia that’s fully covered in tall green trees, both having a normal conversation as usual. “Emily, I’m pretty impressed that you’re able to find the dream gate every time you enter the Dream Realm.” Said NiGHTS, Emily blushed “maybe it’s because I keep dreaming about being here, that could be it.” NiGHTS looked around, “indeed, that’s why you’re able to make it here whenever you enter the Dream Realm.”
NiGHTS laid back and slowly floated around Emily, “and your Ideya hasn’t been taken so far because I always hang around with you.” Emily blushed “I’m very grateful that you’re always by my side… thank you NiGHTS.” NiGHTS chuckled, “no problem, I make sure that I always protect visitors from Reala or any other Nightmaren that’ll end up taking your Ideya away or might want to end up harming you.”
Emily looked at NiGHTS and felt butterflies in her stomach, “should I ask him?” She thought, “*gulp* I think I’m ready to confess... about how I truly feel about him.”
