Burgh send Whirlipede, who attack Poison Sting with String Shot. Sewaddle fires String Shot on Whirlipede, but Whirlipede simply spins in place to break it. Whirlipede lands Steamroller before trying a knockout shot SolarBeam. Sewaddle takes it and glows with light, evolving into Swadloon. Swadloon fires String Shot onto Whirlipede, but it once again shreds it. Swadloon dodge and attack Energy Ball. Swadloon attack Tackle on Whirlipede and knocl out it.

However, training with the large shell has made Oshawott faster, and he is able to dodge Blitzle's attacks. Oshawott and Blitzle use Aqua Jet and Flame Charge against each other, with Oshawott winning the battle. After the match, Axew comes running up to the group, having found the real Scalchop.
