Skylar, you're a moron.

With the end of the school day finally there, Skylar hung back to wait for his younger brothers, mostly because he had texted his mother to come and get them from school so that there’d be no searching for all of them when dad wanted them home. His hands were shoved deep into his pockets while his friends hung out with him, Eric leaning his skateboard against the stairs in front of the school. “So your mom’s picking you guys up?” Josh began to laugh before Skylar shot them both a glare. “There’s nothing wrong with my mom picking me and my brothers up, guys.”
“Never said that man, your mom is a total MILF. I mean, come on, she’s really hot and fuck she’s gotta be kinky in bed.” At Eric’s comments, Skylar had to refrain from shuddering at the mental image of his parents having sex at all let alone being kinky.
“Actually it’s not just from my being kinky that Skylar’s father married me, but the fact that I can suck a softball through a garden hose.” The satiny voice made the teen’s skin crawl as Skylar turned to face his mother, blue eyes looking over at him and his friends. Sighing, Skylar headed over to his mother, thankful to see Jack and Nathan running over with school bags slung over their shoulder which translated in not having to look for them. He merely waved good bye to his friends while Alex guided all three of them off to the waiting car. After some bickering, Skylar sat in the front seat with Jack and Nathan in the back, Alex pulling away from the school. “Now I’m going to assume you all received the message from your father. I have no idea if this person is Blackwatch or if they’re just military, so everyone has to be on their best behaviour.”
“Doesn’t that include you, mom? And can someone please tell Nate that it’s not okay to take meals made of human remains to school?” From the irritated look on Alex’s face, he wasn’t in the mood to deal with his son’s question and merely remained silent while the only other sounds were from the video games played by Jack and Nathan in the back seat. As they drove in almost silence, Skylar took notice that they weren’t exactly heading the correct way home, which seemed a bit odd to him. “Hey mom, what’s going on? I thought we’d be headin’ home.” Alex rolled his eyes, still questioning how he could have ended up with a son like Skylar and was convinced enough to blame Blackwatch and Gentek for Skylar being the way he was. “For your information, we’re picking up something to have for dinner first since I’m more than certain that your father doesn’t want to have to cook when he gets home.” Despite all of Alex Mercer’s talents, cooking was not something he could seemed to do, and it’s hard to just go and consume a five star chef in order to learn. Skylar laughed, leaning back in the passenger seat and giving Nathan less room than what he had before in the back. “Oh yeah, because you never learned to cook and the idea of being a woman who stays home and cooks for her family has never been your style, mom.”
“Says the one who can’t make his own breakfast without starting a fire in the kitchen.”
“Hey that was uncalled for! I didn’t know that my pop tarts would get stuck in the toaster! And that happened years ago so it doesn’t count.” Alex was unbelieving as he looked over at his son. “It also happened just last week so it counts.” Skylar let loose a strangled cry of indignation at what Alex said as the car pulled into the parking lot of the Little Caesar’s. “Okay, the three of you get to choose some of the pizzas we order, I’m just hoping I have enough money to feed you three, your father, myself, and our dinner guest.” Alex dug around for his wallet, even though he was still under the guise of a woman, he never carried about a purse, nor did he ever wear dresses. “Well in a pinch we could always feed Jack to Nathan in order to save a bit of money.”
“Bite me, ass douche.” Jack said as he stepped out of the car.
“That makes no sense, numbnuts. If you’re gonna insult me, at least have it make sense.”
“Both of you just shut up and try to act like normal human beings.” Alex rubbed his temples as they headed inside the small pizza joint to give their order.

With six pizzas ordered and paid for, they headed home and Alex having already broken up several fights while they had waited for their order to finish cooking. Most of the fights were between Jack and Skylar, some between Jack and Nathan in regards to games, and at least twice Alex had to stop Jack from breaking out into a Broadway musical number, mostly for the fact that people were beginning to stare and Alex felt utterly embarrassed at how his sons were acting in a public place. When back in the car, Alex shook his head from what he had to deal with when it came to his sons. “I can’t believe any of you. You can’t spend any length of time in a public place without causing some kind of disturbance? Honestly, I’m embarrassed to even consider that I’m your mother.” A grunt of response from the back seat, Jack still nursing a few bruises and Nathan sporting a split lip, of course Skylar had to add his two cents. “Well mom, if you hate us all so much, maybe you should have considered aborting us when you had the chance.” The car stopped and Alex only glared hard at his son, the first time any of them had seen their mother so angry. “Never joke about that, Skylar. If I didn’t love any of you, do you think I would have hunted members of Gentek and Blackwatch in order to get you back, or that I would do everything in my power to keep you three safe from anyone taking you away?” He threw the car back into drive and the remainder of the car ride was spent in silence.

By the time Captain Robert Cross had returned home, he noticed his sons hanging around each other in the living room, something they never did unless forced to by Alex. He waved his friend to come in with him, and was soon greeted by the feminized version of the “man” he had married. Alex’s face was framed with long dark brown hair and a body that most women would kill for that was clad in tight black jeans and a tight white shirt that was tied just under his ample bust, black tank top underneath to cover any flesh that would have been showing. Those seemingly delicate arms wrapped around his neck and Alex leaned in for a kiss, playing ever the part of the loving and doting wife. “It’s good to see you back home, hun. I made sure that the boys stayed home tonight, since we don’t have enough family dinners together.” Bright blue eyes fluttered with large lashes, making him seem even more feminine as Cross placed his hands on those hips he knew all too well. He couldn’t help but enjoy what ever disguise Alex would use when having to hide his true identity, nuzzling into the virus’ neck before he heard the sound of gagging coming from further off in the house, obviously one of their sons finding their displays of affection disgusting. Skylar walked out past the foyer, heading for the stairs with his ear buds in and mp3 player in hand. “Can we stop with the love dovey shit before I lose my lunch?” Just before Skylar’s feet could ever hit the first step, Cross snagged his son by the hood of his hoodie, dragging him back over. “Soldier, before you can go anywhere, we’re having dinner. And you can be the first meet Captain Xavier Hollings, the associate I had mentioned I was bringing over.” Skylar grunted before stuffing his hands into his pockets as he was released from his father’s “G.I. Joe Patented Kung-Fu grip” as he had been known to call it. “Yo man.” He shrugged, not making complete eye contact, at least until he noticed the taller man saluting to him. “Good to meet you as well, and you are…”
“Uhhh…Skylar…Skylar Cross…” He was more than confused as he addressed who he was, wondering what was with this guy being so formal with him. Of course before he could question, he heard his mother clapping his hands together and speaking. “Well let’s all go and eat before the food gets cold.”

Everyone had been ushered into the dinning room, Alex swiping mp3 players, cell phones, and game consoles from the three teens as they were forced to walk past their mother. Nathan appeared even more socially awkward than he had at school as he slid into his seat beside Xavier, Skylar rolled his eyes as he took his seat on the other side of the captain, Jack sitting across from Xavier as Alex and Cross set out plates and pizzas. Most of the time was spent with Xavier and Cross chatting away about military jargon that the only other person at the table who understood it was Alex thanks to his consuming so many marines and Blackwatch soldiers all those years back when he had first met the man he married. “So Alexis, I was told by Captain Cross that you’re a scientist.” Xavier spoke to someone other than Robert and it was a surprise to everyone. “Well yes, I’m a geneticist majoring in viruses and communicable diseases. I remembering hearing about the bio-terrorism in New York all those years back, part of me really wishes I could have gotten a chance to study the virus that had been unleashed, but unfortunately one can’t get that chance. Robert had been there in New York when the whole thing had happened, he doesn’t talk about it much though. But I heard from Robert that he used to know your father.”
“Yes, my father was a general, he and Captain Cross served together a few times. After my father died, I felt it was only right for me to honour his memory by serving in the military as well.” Skylar continued to watch Xavier closely as they ate, willing himself to not get a hard-on from the sight of the man. Xavier was tall, at least as tall as his father if not a few inches more, his eyes were almost a golden colour, just not quite and his body was incredible from what he deduce from how it was hidden under the uniform; Sandy blonde hair that was cut and styled just perfectly, Skylar was actually trying to decided whether this man was real or not since no one could look that perfect, other than someone that was pure or partially consisting of the Blacklight virus. There it was, his goal to learn by the end of the night, if Captain Xavier Hollings was in fact all human or not.

As the evening winded down, Xavier had to leave and said goodbyes, thanking everyone for their hospitality. Skylar had disappeared off to his room as far as everyone knew, though he merely laid in wait outside for his prey. Black and red bio-mass rippled over his flesh, seeming to be excited as he waited. The front door opened and Xavier made his way a small bit down the sidewalk, Skylar slipping out behind him. He barely had time to react as the blonde whipped around with his combat knife out and pressed against the flesh of Skylar’s throat. The teen swallowed hard as he looked up into those golden eyes that were now rather cold and cruel, the blade still not moving an inch away and in fact began to press into his throat. “Uh…okay, you got me, I was only trying to scare you since I always wanted to see if I could scare a Blackwatch guy, but it’s obvious I can’t, so you can let me go now.”
“Oh I don’t think so.” His voice grew darker, far more cruel as Xavier removed the knife, not even giving Skylar a chance to breathe before he whipped a large syringe out from one of his pockets, jabbing it into the side of the teen’s neck and just allowing Skylar to collapse to the cement. Blue eyes looked up at Xavier, only really able to see the captain’s knees as he slowly began to lose his vision. “Hollings here, I’ve got HADES in my possession, proceed with extraction.” Xavier looked down at Skylar’s unmoving body as his radio confirmed his request for extraction. “You’re more trouble than you’re worth, HADES, but now I will avenge my father’s murder because of you.”
