2. Like an angel.

Yep chapter two. another one i managed to type up right quick. This time i used a different program which *Should* have better tools for dealing with errors and such. no promises though.

___________

Four Months Earlier:

Delia sighed softly as she sat on the edge of the Stormwind canals. One hoof dangling limply over the edge of the road as she stared at her reflection in the water. Her pale blue hair was tied up into a pony tail to keep it out of her eyes, and her loose fitting white robes almost gleamed in the late afternoon light, the gold trim did however.

She didn’t know what was going on. All the letter had said was that she was supposed to be going on a *special* assingment. What this mission was she’d yet to be informed, though hopefully it would be revealed soon. For the moment she didn’t notice the subtly sounds of padded footsteps on the road behind her.

The first she knew of another person being present, was a tall shape appearing in the reflection along side her. “Gah!” The priestess almost fell in, much to the persons delight. As was evident by the quiet giggling which assalted her ears a second later. “Very funny Allia.” She hssed, her eyes turning upwards to focus on the purple skinned elf standing next to her.

It took her a long moment before she returned to studying the reflection. Or more precisely the elf’s reflection. She was surprised she could remember her name considering they’d only met an hour ago at best. But this was her *partner* for the task ahead, whatever that was. “Any news from the Cathederal yet?” The draenei asked as the leather clad woman next to her slowly sunk to her knees.

“Hmm? No nothing yet. There being tight lipped for some reason it seems. Must be big if they need all this secrecy.” The huntress almost spat the last word. She wasn’t keen on the idea of blinding running into the unknown. But there was little choice in the matter.

As Delia stared at there reflections. She found herself admiring the smooth purple skin of her companion. Her waist length purple hair, bright golden eyes, not to mention those inviting, full lips. The priestess shook herself and turned to regaurd the keep in the distance, her face flushing at the train of thought.

She’d left home not three days ago. She couldn’t be THAT desperate. No, there was just something about her. The way the late afternoon sun made her shine, giving an almost holy and angelic apperence.

She looked...like an angle to her eyes. Shrugging slightly. She stretched her arms out above her head and groaned. “Think it’s time to head back there?” She asked quietly, already rising to her hooves again.

“Suppose. Though could we make one stop by the inn first? I need to see a friend.” Nodding in agreement, the pair set off through the streets. She noted a few people eyed them, but none dared look for long. The tight figure hugging leather her friend wore might have shown off her perfect hourglass figure. But the swords clipped to her belt and the bow slung across her shoulders were enough indication to not appraoch her

After doing whatever she needed to in the local tavern. There path eventually led them to the Cathederal, where they were surprised by a priest waiting by the door, seemingly expecting them.

“Ah there you are.” He said calmly as they drew closer. Delia barely took note of his apperence, his short graying hair and matching beard the only real features she took in. “Here. I’m not allowed to disclose your mission directly. It’s all on this parchment.” Without another word he vanished back into the Cathederal and left them standing dumbfounded upon the steps.

After sharing a glance. the draenei slowly broke the seal and unrolled the orders. After scanning them three times over. They shared a look. And started laughing. “Th-That’s it!?” The huntress laughed, her head shaking slightly as she controlled herself long enough to reread it for a forth time. “All it is...is a scouting mission? That’s the big secret?”

True, the only information given was that they had to scout out a Horde presense near the borders of Westfall. More then likely it was just a damned raiding party which had wandered into the area. But why was the priests in charge of it and not the military? Why were they being sent and not just a couple of the Sentinel Hill troops. They were closer!

But that wasn’t for them to ask. The only real thing of note was that they’d be joined by a third member near the edge of the farmlands. Shrugging slightly they decided it was best not to argue and simply left the district without another word, though a few more laughs were shared along the way.

As they left the city and set off. A third member joined the group in the form of a hulking snow white wolf. As it turned out his name was Gabriel and he was the huntress’ companion. He took an instant liking to Delia, and she to him as beneath the bulk and massive fangs, he was just as loveable and playful as any dog.

What she didn’t spot though. Was the odd way he looked at Allia. The slight glint in both there eyes as they shared a glance now and then. She didn’t see it, nor did they want her to.

Soon enough they replaced pure white stone with lush green trees as they ventured into the forest. Goldshire was a few miles away, and then the road to Westfall lie beyond.
