Disclaimer:
I do not own The Legend of Zelda game series, nor any of the characters from them. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
I'm a prince?
A/N: Something tells me that this story is going to have fast updates like Evil within the Heart. I'm not ignoring my other story, I just don't know how I'm going to write the last chapter. This story will be dragged out, but next chapter will be some Link/Ganondorf smut and yes it will be shota as well. Anywho, enjoy the chapter!
Ganondorf's Heir
Chapter 2: I'm a prince?
The women were gathered up, using small carts that survived the massacre to cart away various weapons and treasures. Two of the Gerudo thieves slipped into one of the carts, one holding the wrapped up and injured body of the small child found within the temple; the sword that was found close to him was also taken. Everyone knew that it was the sword of evil's bane, there was no greater treasure to be had. It would take the night to return to their desert home, hoping that the boy could last until then.
"Lady Nabooru, it was an order from the king. We are to treat this boy as our prince." The tanned woman sighed, tending to the various wounds that Link had suffered through. He was unconscious, unable to even know what was happening to him. After the attack upon him in the temple, he had no more strength to stay awake.
Bandages covered nearly every part of flesh upon his body, dislocated arm within a sling and broken bones set and splinted. A soft groan slipped from his lips before a soft hand touched at his forehead. "Someone get the medicine woman! He's running a fever!" All Link wanted at that moment was to sleep and never wake up.
The Sacred Realm was opened, with the future Hero of Time injured, there was no one to stand in his way. Ganondorf stood at the pinnacle of the land created by the Goddesses to contain their power. He reached up to grasp the golden Triforce, only to have it shatter within his hands. The Gerudo king growled with disbelief that such unbelievable power could slip through his fingers. Of course before his rage could come to full force, he felt his right hand tingle with a strange sensation. Looking down, he saw the symbol of the Triforce forming upon the back of his hand; he felt renewed with strength, a low chuckle bubbling up before erupting into a full laugh. This new found power was all he would need in order to control Hyrule with an iron fist. Hyrule's only savior was too injured to even attempt to protect the land. "Tonight...we take Hyrule..."
They were worried; a boy so young had suffered so much. The medicine woman had gently lain a cool cloth across the boy's forehead. His fever had to be brought down and his wounds had to heal. She slowly stood up and headed towards the door, but was stopped for a moment by Nabooru. "What about the boy?"
"Keep an eye on him and when he is awoken, he must drink the medicine that I left for him."
Nabooru nodded before taking a seat by the broken child; so innocent and so much had happened to him. She brushed away some of the golden locks, feeling almost guilty for how the boy had been treated.
A full day and night had passed before the Kokiri had finally woke up, wincing in pain as he tried to sit up. Hands grabbed to help support his tiny and damaged frame; with his arm and leg hung up, he was unable to move without help.
"Watch out, child...you don't want to injure yourself anymore than you are already." The sweet voice held power; kind enough to allow him to relax. "What is your name, child?"
"L-Link...my name is Link...wh-where am I? Who are you?"
Once he was fully sitting up, he was handed a small cup filled to the brim with a dark brown liquid. It smelled of spice and plants, reminding him of some of the herbal remedies the Kokiri had for ailments. He only hesitated for a moment before drinking down the liquid; it burned his throat slightly from the spice, but warmed his stomach. The tanned woman then spoke once she took the glass from the boy and set it back down upon the bedside table. "My name is Nabooru, you were brought to the Gerudo Fortress under orders of our king. Ganondorf found you after monsters attacked you; worried that you could possibly die, he requested we bring you here and care for you. Once he returns, you will be able to thank him, but I suggest you wait until your injuries have healed before trying to leave our lands."
After another hour, Nabooru left Link's side for the moment. All he could do was look up at the moon hanging by the small window above the bed. He was all alone in this land, even Navi was missing. Link let his head fall back against the soft feather filled pillow, a few tears slipping down his cheeks as he dreaded what was to happen in the end. "Why is this happening to me?"
Months had passed by, the Kokiri boy healing better than most had assumed he would; Hyrule seemed to changed as the boy's wounds healed. Ganondorf had taken Hyrule easily, every race falling into submission. Of course his ruling of Hyrule also meant that he was returning to his people and homeland after so long of being away. Free to wander his current home, he saw all the work that was going in to prepare for the return of the king. Link had found Nabooru, one of few that he learned to trust and befriend over his recovery. A tug upon her pant leg was enough to get the attention of the crimson haired woman. She spun, granting the blond a smile before ruffling his hair into a slight mess. He let out a small laugh, actually enjoying himself even though he was so far from his home in the forest. "Nabooru, now that I'm healed, will I be sent away?"
She didn't know what to say, but merely bent down to give a kiss to the top of Link's head in a motherly fashion. "Well Ganondorf had requested that you be treated as a prince. When he returns tonight, he can give you the best answer since he is our king and his orders are the ones we must obey."
As the hours dragged by Link had merely sat at the edge of the valley, he didn't want to be a bother to any of the women at the moment with Ganondorf returning to his people. The sun was setting and it translated into having to return to the fortress. He kicked a final rock into the canyon below before turning to head back to his current home; the sound of hooves caused him to turn his head. A large black steed reared up for a moment in front of the small child, its' rider dismounting. His breath caught in his throat, the looming figure of the Gerudo king before him. Ganondorf merely chuckled before pulling the boy into his arms, confusing the Kokiri even more. A kiss was placed upon the crown of his head before he was pulled away slightly to look into the amber coloured eyes of the older man. "Ganondorf...?"
"It's good to see you looking far better than when I had found you. It is also good that you will continue to live here as the Gerudo crown prince."
The words shocked the blond, the Gerudo had one male within their midst every hundred years, according to Nabooru, he certainly couldn't remain amongst these warriors. Ganondorf was the king though; kings make the rules and he can always change preset rules to suit him...
A/N: Another chapter down and an unknown amount of chapters to go. I can't wait until Link hits puberty in this because I have plans for that! Remember read and review!
